Allen already a factor in QB race ?

Recommended Posts

The excitement around Allen in these couple of days in really fun for me, a guy who was so against drafting the kid...

I mean, I have obviously become a supporter since he is ours, but I didjr anticipate him looking this solid this early.

Thanks bro! That's crazy... they merge my link with this thread... so now Bill's fans wont be able to ready that article by Sal... that's just sad.

yep, the site even went so far as to take the article down because Bills fans won't be able to read the article.

Its actually two shorts and 1 padded practice

It is encouraging that the padded practice is his best day

While talking about qbs.....why is everyone so down on AJM....who sounds like he has been very efficient with the ball.....

A guy that can do his job and not turn the ball over is not a BAD thing.....even if he doesnt make the cannon ooh aww throws

No AJ hasn’t been horrible.

I’m thinking that people made a predetermined analysis on him and won’t let things play out to see if he’s a viable option going into the season.

Your a good man!

But, in response to this post. Franchise Qb? Look I really like Allen and would love to finally say that we have a stud Qb. He hasn’t even had any pass rush yet! Anyone who has played the position knows it’s totally not the same thing without a pass rush.

He has potential and can make any throw, but we will see.

Thanks!

Sorry for the late response. I was filling out a father of the year application.

So far the news on Allen has been encouraging. Good! But let's remember that Kelly had played two seasons in the USFL before coming here and his first couple seasons here were nothing really special though we saw glimpses of what he would ultimately achieve here. So let's all sit back and not expect too much too soon from the kid.

tks Defense. I've been on the Allen train since BEFORE the pick (that could well go on my profile some day) but with a questionable O-line and possibly losing our HOF level RB do not be surprised if he struggles coming out the gate.  I am fully prepared for Rosen to outshine Allen this year assuming they both play.  But as McBeane continue to build a playoff team Allen will eventually emerge as the best QB of his class.

As for Rosen, I predict he will be highly successful on the field, will routinely ^%^* on his teammates, coaches, and management, will change teams annually, and end up leaving the NFL to do color commentary for ESPN and/or run for political office in about 5 years.

It thought you notice my typo... when you said "yep, the site even went so far as to take the article down because Bills fans won't be able to read the article."

I had ready in there...instead of read.

It is a little early for that

but

One of them is not even in camp

One of them is having trouble being better then Tyrod Taylor

One of them is Josh Rosen........who is probably the most polished QB......but nobody knows how long he will last at the NFL level

Our QB missed more time in college and injured the same shoulder 3 times. This is fake news.

Rosen and Darnold will probably start, Allen should but after the NP debacle they will go AJ because of the "process" - that's how I see it.

I’d be into Allen starting and taking his lumps. If the D plays as well as last year I think we should still be fairly competitive.

Im sure for every poor play he’ll have a nice one. He’s going to make mistakes but as long as we can get a few field goals and a td or two he’d basically be matching Taylor’s output.

Taylor was safe to a fault. It would be nice to see someone willing to give a reciever a few chances to make a play instead of waiting to punt.

Playing safe up a touchdown or field goal is not a winning recipe. That’s the coaches fault too. Hopefully Dabol’s a bit more aggressive.

Let's see how he does in preseason

...steady as she goes.......no need to rush the kid.......if McCarron is your steady Eddie game manager and moves the chains consistently, what's wrong with that?.......

Josh Allen is winning this job. How refreshing to see some separation starting to manifest on day three of camp...rather than week three. We all know what that looks like.

It’s interesting that Allen had the most adversity in his college career of the 5 first round QBs and will be the first of them to start.

I guess you're locked in on the other camps too....wow...Buffalo Bills fans.....but I guess you just reported it 1st.....This just in....Josh Allen is the 1st to start...reported by this guy!!

It’s been so long since we’ve seen this ... Kyle Orton might have been the last time

https://twitter.com/bufffanatics/status/1023557086616141825?s=21

Actually as I recall they were key to Nate's 50% preseason passing performance last summer.

Difference between Nate and even Orton is that Allen has the arm to get DB's turned around so that the back shoulder throw is like taking candy from a baby instead of a potential pick 6 when Nate throws it.
