Enjoyed it and look forward to the new season, but I didn't realize how much I had forgotten about all the little details going on in the show. May Day 10 Posted February 2, 2022 Share Posted February 2, 2022 Finished the Ozark episodes last night. I have to say, the show has completely jumped the shark for me. The actions of people and authorities is way off the reservation, ludicrous, and any sort of immersion is lost. But the twist, the guest does not have a script and must improvise their lines, and figure out who was the murderer at the end of the episode. I never read the books and never saw the movie with Tom Cruise, so I had no preconceived notions going in. It seems pretty good so far. Reacher is a retired military officer who travels around the country as sort of a vigilante. If you remember "Kung Fu" with David Carradine, it's similar. Sony pushed Netflix to release Breaking Bad in time for the fourth season, which as a result, greatly expanded the show's audience on AMC due to new viewers binging on the Netflix past episodes, and doubling the viewership by the time of the fifth season. Foundation and its sequels are extremely complicated books and hard to translate to media. Finally got around to watching the first season of Foundation. It starts out as a pretty good sci-fi show. Very heady high concept stuff with a focus on character development and world building. Eventually it kind of struggles with staying in that lane and tries to into more main stream storytelling which I assume is to attempt to appeal to a broader audience. Overall I mostly enjoyed it though and it was renewed for a second season. I have no experience with the source material so I have no idea how faithful it is but based on what I've heard about the books I am going to guess it diverges quite a bit.
