One of the comments on the article:

"Buffalo is a funny place to watch football. It's almost like the city shuns successful people. Every week after a loss the Buffalo News talks about all the "coaching mistakers." Yet outside Buffalo the general consensus is McDermott is a great coach. The Bills have neither a QB, a backup running back or a defensive line,, yet they're 8-7. Two years ago they went 9-7 with 11 pro bowl caliber players.

Gronk is hated because he WANTED TO PLAY HERE. Earth to fans. NOBODY wants to play here and up till McDermott, nobodfy wanted to coach here. When Pagula was interviewing, he got a long list of don't call me emails. The sabres suck for the same reason.

Where has hating Brady gotten us? Where is hating Gronk going to get us. Love they naighbor and when he's won 5 superbowls, emulate him."

Kind of agree with him here.

"

Dumb. Gronkowski is hated because he plays for the Patriots. If he played for Green Bay and won SBs with Rogers, no one would care. It's no different watching football in BUF than anywhere else. Fans hate their rivals. No one outside of New England can stand the Pats , except for a few band wagoners . Just stupid comments beyond belief . Lastly, what fans think has zero to do with the success of the franchise or lack thereof. Edit : referring to the comments in the article, not by " Dingus"

His feelings are really misguided at this point. The Bills don't have the same owners, they don't have the same GM, they don't have the same coaches, they don't have the same scouts and on and on. I understand holding a grudge but his feelings at this point are just silly. Who does he hold a grudge against? The address?

What would Gronks career stats be if the Bills has drafted him?

$50 Gronk would have blown out both ACLs, ruputured a vertebrae in his back & ended his career early on permanent IR after attempting to corral an errant Fitzpatrick high throw in the 2012 season.

IF we had Gronk when we had Orton and with that defense....

Someone should compile a "Dream team" roster of what could have been the Bills, had we drafted better, say, since the turn of the new century.

I realize that would be with the benefit of hindsight and many other NFL teams routinely miss  on players as well, b/c no one has the benefit of 20/20 hindsight vision on draft day....but this could be a really fun exercise anyway.

We should have but Nix was a moron and drafted that bum (forgot his name) NT.

the Pats like to get rid of good players maybe he will come here for a couple years before he retires when we are winning championships.

How funny would it be if Gronk mocks Belly after scoring the winning TD that eliminates them from the playoffs.

Right on, I personally think that Gronk playing ever for the Bill's is a ship that has sailed, especially after the assault on Tre. I also question his maturity and judgement.

Well here is a few:

2001: we could have had Drew Brees instead of Nate Clements.

2002: Ed Reed instead of Mike Williams

2003: Anquan Boldin instead of Willis McGahee

2005: Justin Tuck or Richie Incognito instead of Roscoe Parrish

2006: Antonio Cromartie or Nick Mangold instead of Donte Whitner

2007: Darrelle Revis instead of Marshawn Lynch

2008: Joe Flacco instead of Leodis McKelvin

2009: Clay Matthews instead of Aaron Maybin

2010: Earl Thomas or Jason Pierre-Paul or Mike Iupati or  instead of CJ Spiller

2011: AJ Green or Julius Jones or JJ Watt instead of Marcell Dareus

2012: Dont'a Hightower instead of Stephon Gilmore

2014: Khalil Mack or Odell Beckham, Jr. or Teddy Bridgewater instead of Sammy Watkins

Pretty good list. And while 20/20 hindsight is often cited as an excuse for poor drafting, it's missing the greater point. These GMs have full scouting  departments behind them , and are paid huge $ to have foresight. They need to be right far more often than they are wrong. If they're not, fans like us make lists of who they should have drafted and are left with what ifs. The Bills have been very poor in this department for the bulk of the drought. I hope the Beane / McDermott team can change that trend.
