This is what I was thinking. They win this week, everyone on this forum starts thinking that things are finally falling into place, then they dash our hopes. Again. However, another Billsy move would be to lose, lose then win. That last win just hurts the draft pick. Not much, but enough for people to grumble about it. Jobot
Nope Week 15 - Win Week 16 - Lose = must win with help from others going into week 17 Week 17 - All necessary help from other teams goes our way but we lose.

Chandler#81
Good to hear from you, Stojan. Not sure if it’s Billsy, but I don’t see us winning again this season. If the Gods have to literally ‘blizzard’ us a win at home vs. Indy, no way this somewhat over-achieving group of marginal players wins again. jmo
PABillsfan23
Billsiest way.. win sunday lose to New England All they have to do is win in Miami week 17 to get in and they lose. IMO that’s the Billsiest

Chuck Wagon
Nah, the most Bills way would be dominating Miami on Sunday, getting smoked by the Pats in week 16 but still getting all the help we need to be in a "win and you are win" week 17 game, where we lay a complete egg and Miami beats us 9-3. But having seen this team “Bills it” more times than I care to remember, I’m going to type out the way I see this playing out, hoping that by predicting it, there’s no way it can actually happen: We beat the Dolphins Sunday, win a close one against the Pats, and then lose in the last minutes to the Dolphins in week 17. And of course, all the “help” we need to sneak in with 9 wins will somehow either play, or get flexed to, Sunday night, and not help us at all. Merry Christmas. theAteam
We lose this week vs. Miami at home But then everyone else in the hunt loses as well. 8-8 might just get in We lose to the Pats as usual. A win in Miami might just be enough. An 8-8 team will get in as the #6. Everyone does the advanced calculus required and we need about 3 games to go a specific way but it's possible. We lose anyway and go 7-9. Later on, come to find out a win wouldn't have mattered anyway as the other games panned out wrong but Bills fans still complain 6 months later that a win would've gotten them in. Albwan
Bills go up 27-0 on the pats in the third quarter, and lose 28-27 vs pats backups on the final play. It needs to be epic since we have seen almost every billsy way to lose or not make the playoffs in the last 17 years.
Charles Romes
Any outcome other than miraculously making it to the show will be equally Billsian playing great and collapsing, sucking the whole way, sucking with a sign of life after it's too late to induce false hope, or playing mediocre the whole way are all equally and profoundly Billsian. Sweats
The Billsiest way to end the season would be to need a win for the final game to get us into the playoffs............and lose to 3rd stringers I cant think much more of a Billsiest way to end the season, honestly. The most hardened and pessimistic Bills fans cave in and realize it is all finally going to come together for us. The game starts; we can't stop the run, and Moore plays much better than expected. Tyrod has an average game; does some good things, some bad things. We are losing by 2 points in 4th quarter with 4 seconds left on the clock. It all comes down to a Hauschka FG attempt from 42 yards. We all think "He's got this no problem!" The ball is snapped; the hold is botched. In a moment of panic, Hauschka picks up the ball and starts running. He sees a Bill going downfield in the open for a pass. Hauschka throws the ball, it is a completion, and the Bills player runs into end zone for a TD. The clock has expired. Bills fans celebrate as the curse is over and we are in the playoffs. At that moment a late flag is thrown. We have an illegal receiver downfield; it is a penalty, the TD is negated, and there is no time remaining on the clock. Game can end with an offensive penalty and the game is over. We lose by 2 points. or the end of hauchska's shoelace is beyond the line when he throws..... 19 hours ago, SF Bills Fan said: Let's talk about the ballsiest way we win. MDH
Billsian isn’t winning the last 3 when they are in the playoff race, that never happens to them. Billsian is getting blown out in the next two games then putting it all together in their best performance of the season in the meaningless season finale. The win pushes them down the draft just enough so even with their extra draft picks they don’t have the ammo necessary to target a legit franchise QB prospect. The team that drafted in the spot that would have been where the Bills were drafts their QB of the future (one who the Bills didn’t have rated highly anyway) and he turns into a stud. The Bills draft a RB and CB with their two first rounders. Both turn out to be outstanding players but the Bills don’t want to pay them and they move in to greener pastures after their rookie contracts are up.
