Again, how can a switch to Peterman be any worse?

Recommended Posts

What I fail to understand is why Tyrod is not taking off and running more. Is he being told to stay in the pocket and go through progressions? If so thats a big fail by Dennison. Tyrods game is taking off and running when things break down. Thats when he has success

I thought the same thing. He danced around as the middle of the pocket collapsed with Duckass in there. He had lanes to run. I'd like to see what the all 22 reveals but it seemed that TT left plays all over the field, whether it was a lane to run or an open receiver. I think he let the pressure and the rain get to him.

I never said there was, nor do I think there is.

You don't watch enough NFL if you don't think it could get worse.

Well he's current 28th in passing yards, with a guys like Case Keenum and Deshone Kizer ahead of him lol. So I guess it could get worse but it wouldn't be that much worse. Already bottom 5 in the league.

Plug Keenum or Kizer into the Bills' lineup and are they better?

Do I need to remind you who Peterman would have to be throwing to?

Without Charles Clay, he would be throwing to the worst group of receivers in the NFL.

Is it even fair to evaluate any QB in that situation?

Need I remind you this is a team sport?

Most good QBs in the NFL have a solid group of receivers and/or a dominant receiver (AJ Green) that can make 2 plays that will decide a game.

Sammy Watkins was finally healthy this season and Tyrod could have finally had a premium receiver that he could depend on being in the lineup every week.

But the Bills got rid of that for what looks like a very low first 2nd round pick.... because the LA RAms are playoff bound (and the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL too)

Peterman would be throwing to the worst receivers in the NFL who are often open on replays from higher angles!

It's no different now than at the start of the season. The HC won't go with a rookie unless there is an injury to TT or the record means the playoffs are essentially an impossibility. If anything the record means it will be even longer before any thought of a QB change.

Yards are not the end all be all. Great so we throw in Big Ben who threw over 300 yards and walked away with 9 points getting killed by the Jags. Obviously Big Ben is leagues better than Tyrod is. My point is that yards don't mean jack. There are a lot worse QBs out there. Yes it can get worse. Jeff Tuel started a football game.

Really you fail to understand ? its very simple , Tyrod had TRASH for WR/TE on the field , the bad WEATHER / RAIN makes perfect sense to stay in the pocket and try to throw the ball 35 times

At the end of the day Taylor simply isn't a fit for this offense and what Dennison/McD are trying to do.

They have been fortunate to win with smoke and mirrors so far and I certainly don't blame Taylor for the injuries that are piling up right on cue this time of year in Buffalo, but at the end of the day you have to give your offensive skill players a chance and Taylor doesn't do that.

The book is out on this offense and the days of seeing McCoy and the running game go for 150+ a week are long over and not coming back until we can prove we can get the ball downfield and find guys in the middle open.

And once again Taylor proved he can't lead a 4th quarter comeback and turned the ball over the first chance he's actually taken in weeks. It's time for a change and both fans and the Bills organization is kidding themselves if they believe otherwise.

I do not like Tyrod as a player. I think he is severely limited in his passing ability, doesn't settle in the pocket and is way too tentative in throwing the ball.

That said, he is the best option we have on the roster right now. Peterman, a rookie who looked "ok" against 2nd team, 3rd team and fodder players in the preseason is not going to fare well. Some want to say...well Dak did it...but really it's no true comparison. Dak DOMINATED those low roster players whereas Peterman just looked "ok".

If we had a back up that had some experience I would fully endorse a switch. But putting a green rookie behind that line, with those receivers, with the running game getting stuffed and the play calling being iffy at best is a quick way to not win again this year.

You'd think we were 1-4....

Taylor did not play well but that doesn't warrant the hook.

Whatever our record is, none of the wins are because the offense played well...

Im not on this thread to see or ask for a change at QB, but a change being needed is a fact that can't be denied.

Change #1 - Fix the damn run game. I'm not a coach nor do i get paid to be one, but the ones who are getting paid and receive a paycheck from the Pegulas need to fix the run game.

Change #2 - Refer to change 1

It sucks that Tyrod never comes even close to throwing for 300 yards and rarely throws over 200, but the coaches aren't going to make a change at QB unless Tyrod has an injury, so we need to fix the issues he has (holding on to the ball and looking to scramble right away) and just move on.

O-line is horrible... I pray the coaches will move Dawkins to the right side if and when Cordy Glenn gets plugged back in at LT.

The coaching staff has shown they're about putting who they feel have earned the position on the field. Note Dareus and Glenn, with younger guys playing for them. I have no doubt if they feel Peterman would perform better that they'd start him.

Glenn is strictly an injury situation with Dareus partially being the same. Anyone who thinks Peterman is a better option based on preseason with the available skill players on the team is delusional. It's a silly thought at this juncture of the season.

Tyrod is not a real NFL QB but at least he has the ability to scramble and make plays when there aren't any. Peterman would get killed. There was literally nobody to throw to on some plays. Zay Jones has bust written all over him. Klay shouldn't even be on a roster. Their best receiver was Tate who is a return specialist. That tells you all you need to know right there. No it's not Peterman time yet because we don't have a real offense for him to run

He's not played well for most of the season and without the defense playing over their heads we are probably 1-4 right now.

Taylor is a finished product and will be the reason this team doesn't make the playoffs assuming the defense keeps up but don't think that happens either because despite the turnovers they were lit up today.

Taylor has played well.

No big mistakes.

He's playing better than he should be - today we saw some extra wrinkles but he was without his top 2 receiving targets. Plus he had Vlad Ducasse on his line. Ducasse!!

I love how so many of you plan for the SUper Bowl after wins - and plan to kill yourselves after a loss.

It's pure comedy.

Does a new offensive line come with the change at QB that you want? If not, same issues will occur.
