The thing I don't understand about Zay: All of his stats from the combine are equal or better than Sammy. But Sammy is considered and "explosive downfield threat" and Zay isn't

How does their 10 yard split compare?

Say seems pretty explosive, honestly. That senior bowl game was nasty.

Stats in shorts don't always translate to explosiveness in actual game play.

I don't think Zay was used much as a downfield threat when he was at East Carolina.

It's an important game to get a barometer on the state of Buffalo's receiving corps.

As a Greenville NC resident and ECU fan I'll tell you this. Zay was limited in YPC because of the offense ECU runs. He is much more explosive than he was able to show in college.

You are correct.

"Majority of his catches were in short to medium routes, so deep ball was rarely utilized."

A guy I'm rooting for, Joe Powell, S. interesting story and road to the NFL. He made a great play on his INT last week. It sure would be nice if someone in the media did a story about the guys competing for the backup safety jobs.
