He was the classic kind of low price vet insurance signing that teams make pre-draft to cover themselves. If Zay and Sammy are good to go by the end of camp and Maclin is on board they could go with that as their top 3 and a combination of Brown / Butler / Tate / Powell / Listenbee to make up the back end of the depth chart at the receiver spot and to play special team. He's missed 10 games in the 7 seasons he's been able to play (and the lost year to an ACL tear in 2013).
