The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency

It's amazing how these types never ask themselves the simple questions, like "can you name a country that's ever eliminated poverty by doing away with capitalism?"

A commie friend of mine said today that we should have a shared collective economy. He acknowledged that it could lead to slavery, but only in the hands of a dictator like Trump. I asked him who the good, benevolent people who would run it were, and how would you prevent a dictator from taking power. No response.

Did you consider asking him which of President Trump's policies marked him as a dictator?

I think you could argue that Teen Vogue is not really the media, per se, but then you see this and think "Who the hell is in charge at Teen Vogue?"

The article is ridiculous, the the tweet is what tips it over.  You can't end poverty without ending capitalism?  Can someone send these Teen Vogue readers some photos from Venezuela?

We're supposed to believe the author who states that a bunch of 21-32 year olds don't save because they expect our country to dump capitalism for their benefit?  Yeah right, that's what the picture generation thinks about and believes.

It would be a waste of time. I'd just suffer through a stream of cognitive dissonance with platitudes about rich people and corporations hording all the money. For these guys it's not an intellectual exercise. It's an identity.

Another narrative dies -

Myth: Trump doesn't talk to the media, doesn't do enough press conferences, he's hiding from the press.

Reality:

This already has been the most transparent administration in history in terms of the amount of live TV dealing the president does (think cabinet meetings on tv et al).

Yep. In the 60s it was, "The Man."

NSFW outtakes from one of the all time classics:

Oh, and it's NSFW people.

Is Venezuela the only non-capitalist country in the world?

I don't quite get the obsession with that place. I mean, they do produce great baseball players. Other than that, just seems like a cherry picked example designed to engender fear. You could at least be honest and cite Canada when demonizing socialism.

Let's start with the premise of the Teen Vogue tweet: To end poverty, you must end capitalism. The article then discusses the benefits of socialism.

That is the very premise of that tweet and article, and even a lazy poster like yourself need only look at the tweet to verify it.

Now, let's cut away to a place that embraced socialism with the promise to end poverty.

Canada didn't do away with capitalism. They have implemented some socialist policies, and nationalized segments of their economy, but the overall economy is still based on a capitalist system.

Where would Canada's socialism be without American capitalism?

'non-woman name'??

But I thought gender was just a social construct?

So are names.  ALL social constructs much meet the appropriate standards.

So from now on, the only people eligible for UN Ambassador are androgynous virgins named "Chris" who are genetically at least 1/1024 non-European

Man, there is a lot of money to be had for anyone on the right who wants to align with the left.

A LOT of money. It feeds into the left's narrative, and all the little NPC's will run out to buy Boot's book because it justifies their feelings.

This inability to assess issue by issue based on the facts of the matter is breaking our already feeble constitutional republic. Funny thing is, the people that aren’t able to rationally discuss things one at a time are the same people that want to stamp out what they consider “dissent”. In a free society.

Kill the “left wing media”. Like seriously - cut - them into pieces and eagerly wait for State TV to tell us what to do. Our society will be much more transparent if we keep stifling investigation into the facts. I mean people want people to be killed because they are shining light in things the person disagrees with.

Kill them. Kill people that try to report on things. Kill them if you think they are too close to the truth.

Kill reporters, the enemy of a free society. Kill them for trying to learn the truth.

Kill them.

Any acknowledgement of a left wing media tacitly accepts and admits the existence of a right wing media. So what the hell?

Dont believe the evidence in front of you or what your eyes and ears say. Wait for the state to tell you what to think and believe. Then, like a good race soldier, repeat the narrative you were instructed to espouse.

My favorite part is when the NPC who has yet to show the ability to discuss any subject down here rationally called out people who can't have rational discussions.

My second favorite part is when the NPC railed against state media while parroting state media talking points from an actual dictator in Erdogan without a whit of irony.

I'm working at Politicon in Los Angeles, and Ive never been in such a sleazy environment in my life. On either side, the place is just full of opportunists, all of them acting out some kind of character, or role they've developed. There aren't even many regular attendees, just media people wandering around trying to generate something  they can exploit in a YouTube video.

They congregate here to provide each other with foils...

I saw this develop, and I think they likely arranged this "confrontation" ahead of time.

This video needs to be hidden from Boyst. The tall blonde with the leopard skin outfit might just be too much for him to resist. I'd suggest giving "her" the old Crocodile Dundee test first though.
