As if we needed more proof of Erdogan's duplicity.

A cache of wiretaps originating in Turkey appear to show the government of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan aiding the passage of militant fighters tied to the ISIS terror group into and out of Syria, according to new reports that are raising questions about Turkey's commitment to its military alliance with Washington, D.C.

The wiretaps are said to show Erdogan's government working alongside ISIS fighters, despite its public rhetoric in support of the American campaign to decimate the Islamic terror group.

Trump cuts all direct assistance to Northern Triangle countries Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala

The stunning development came late Friday night.

In a stunning about-face, State Department officials said that President Donald Trump is cutting off all direct assistance to the so-called Northern Triangle countries of El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.

“At the Secretary’s instruction, we are carrying out the President’s direction and ending FY [fiscal year] 2017 and FY 2018 foreign assistance programs for the Northern Triangle,” a State Department spokesperson told ABC News, referring to U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. “We will be engaging Congress as part of this process.”

Another week, another yellow vest protest... (live feed)

20+ arrested, leader fined: Yellow Vest protests open ‘Act 21’ in France

Some 21 protesters were arrested in Paris on Saturday morning, local media reported, citing police. Eric Drouet, one of the leaders of the Yellow Vests, was fined 135 euro ($150) for violating public protest laws. The ruling was slammed by his lawyer who said that “if Drouet wants to have a cup of coffee at the Champs-Elysees, he has an absolute right to do so.”

He did it:

Statement from the President on the Designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a Foreign Terrorist Organization

</snip>

This designation will be the first time that the United States has ever named a part of another government as a FTO.  It underscores the fact that Iran’s actions are fundamentally different from those of other governments.  This action will significantly expand the scope and scale of our maximum pressure on the Iranian regime.  It makes crystal clear the risks of conducting business with, or providing support to, the IRGC.  If you are doing business with the IRGC, you will be bankrolling terrorism.

OK, we all know in reality this Iranian designation of CENTCOM does absolutely nothing.  What are they pretending it does?

The US designation means that should a French (or other) firm decide to continue to do business with the IRGC, they can have their US assets frozen and can't do business in the US.  Does the Iranian declaration mean that if Hezbollah takes US aid then they can't get Iranian aid?  How the heck do we sign up for that?  45 would have totally wiped out their funding with the stroke of a pen. :lol:

Cheapest war we'll have ever fought.  (Even cheaper than Granada.)
