Well, this could seriously be a 3-13 season if Sammy is out long term. Robert Woods as #1, Goodwin or Salas as 2.

There's a treatment for that!

Bills star wide receiver Sammy Watkins is playing with severe discomfort in his surgically repaired foot, the Daily News has learned. X-rays taken after the Bills season-opening loss to the Ravens on Sunday did not reveal another break, according to a person familiar with the situation, but Watkins is far from out of the woods.

Stop being a BBFS fatalist. Dez Bryant, Julio Jones, Julian Edelman and others have had foot issues that have been corrected by surgery. They all continue to pay at a high level.

@MMehtaNYDN

Sources: Bills star WR Sammy Watkins could be shut down for several weeks, if not longer, with foot issue. Story: https://t.co/QzsZJlRgnv

It's the regular season - i just don't see them shutting him down unless he is legit unable to play.

The best part is that the Sammy injury could well give Whaley/Rex/Roman the excuse they need to BS Terry and Kim into another year after going 3-13 or 5-11.

Yay!

Yikes!

The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta reports Sammy Watkins (foot) "could be shut down for several weeks" because of "severe discomfort" in his surgically-repaired foot.

X-rays taken after Sunday's game did not show a new break, but Mehta reports it remains possible he is shut down for the entire season. It is also possible he is able to manage the pain and continue playing. His status moving forward is completely up in the air, but at this point, it seems unlikely he plays a full 16 games. With the Bills hosting the Jets on Thursday, Watkins should be considered questionable at best for Week 2.

Medical personnel, including renowned foot specialist Robert Anderson, have advised Watkins against a surgical remedy for the issue at this time. It's possible, however, that Watkins could be shut down for several weeks, or possibly longer, depending on how his foot responds in the coming days."

This is exactly why the Bills should have addressed the WR position in the offseason. Now it's going to cost them big time!

Does this maybe explain the lack of shots down the field? You can still use Goodwin to do that though, otherwise there is no reason to have him on the roster.

I can't handle this. Call me stupid but I build my fantasy squads around Sammy being a #1 and tyrod. If this happens the bills are !@#$ed and I'm !@#$ed

I have Watkins and Keenan Allen in my big league. :oops::oops:
