Marrone by his actions made it clear he did not want to be a part of the Bills organization and is now history. I look forward to the new coach and seeing what he brings to the Bills. Will look it up later. after his historically bad season in detroit, we were lucky enough to be granted permission to interview him instead of detroit having to fire him. theres no way he could have gone back there though. all the return tds allowed, the kick returner kneeling at the 4, the personal fouls, the mixups with their signals (the returners signal for blockers to be careful was too close to the fair catch signal and cost them wide open punt returns)..... Cusillo, just like this guy, need to be weighed for what they are - one has reason to be very upset, the other reason to be very loyal. truth is probably somewhere in the middle. It is entirely likely that Marrone saw that Brandon's influence on the organization was going to go down drastically. So the same guy who influenced his hire and was probably being his fairy godmother within the Bills organization was on his way to being neutered. One of the main things I've noticed throughout this debacle is the unwillingness of any ex-coach/GM to publicly criticize Marrone. Manish Mehta was on Michael Kay's ESPN radio show a couple of days back and the divide among opinions was clearly media vs. ex-personnel men/coaches. Now Manish has been vehemently against Doug since day 1, but Kay's counter arguments rested upon "well Bill Polian and Charley Casserly love the guy."
