This. If it's a contest to collect the most players, the Bills are looking good. But team building isn't Madden and requires a different type of mindset, one that a GM is supposed to have.

I think Nix is fine as a regional or national scout. But as far as developing a plan to build an entire team, he's not done it. The switching of defenses proves this ad nauseam.

You still haven't exlpained how the Bills were supposed to address both offense and defense at #10, like you bashed them for.

The entire NFL is populated by senile GMs who know nothing. How in the world can we go through 17 picks of the first round and have 4 DBs selected and only one OT? These guys don't know how to build a team.

Much like the Aaron Rodgers watch - we are at 22 and counting.

GMs also need to look more than a year in advance at the roster, and as others have mentioned, it's likely that McGee, McKelvin & Florence are gone in 2013.

Like it or not, CB was a key need this year and based on the players remaining at No. 10, Gilmore was the "no brainer" pick on any reasonable way to build a complete football team.

This guy looked very unhappy.

Apparently, he's not. Maybe all the junior psychologists on this board should find another line of work. He said on his conference call that it was his dream to be drafted into the NFL, it was a great feeling to be going to the Bills, he really liked Buffalo on his visit because it had a laid back feel to it like the town he was from, the Bills have great fans, and he's ready to get to work. Yeah, sounds like just the type of guy this team doesn't need. Talented and high character.
