Have you been to the stadium? It's designed so you can watch the game from various viewing platforms while hanging at the bar. It's really cool actually. I watched a drive from one while I was ordering beer. I don't know the exact number of areas that are like this, but I'll guess there's about 50 areas, with four of them being very large that can accomodate hundreds of people. So no, it's not a bunch of people wandering the concourse.

The game was a sellout. A lot of people socialize in the concourses and hit dozens of new bars, viewing platforms, etc. All of those places have views of the game. Just because people aren't in their seat doesn't team they're not passionate or not there. The "Atlanta is a bad sports town" story is stale and frankly not accurate.

It's fun to watch everyone speculate. IMO, this is really about them still not knowing who the QB is and deciding to give EJ a shot. The idea that they're having EJ play so they don't show their cards with the actual starter running the show is crazy. New QBs, new system, new coaches... If the starter had been decided he'd be playing the majority of the snaps this weekend. The benefit of practice reps far outweigh the element of surprise for one game.

I thought long and hard about how to respond to this. Many layers here. All I can say is I'm a parent and I wouldn't want my kid watching that. I guess it's a matter of perspective, and it's subjective to a degree. I don't understand the folks that can completely dismiss this as a non-issue, but I respect your opinion. Clearly it's worth discussing or we wouldn't have so much chatter on the subject. ? Come on. I feel like this is just piling on. I know what a blunt is. It doesn't look like a friggin cigar. I'm guessing there were plenty of people who thought it sent the wrong message. I guess I'm just old. I think smoking of any kind is bad for people, and I hate to see someone that is looked up to glorifying unhealthy behavior. And, I have two young kids, so I know they can think on their own. If they saw this video, they would think he was doing drugs because young kids clearly won't be able to tell the difference between a legal hookah hit and a marijuana hookah/bong. One of the kids owns a Sammy Watkins jersey, so yeah, it sends the wrong message.

In this case, its definitely bad. Players get suspended for smoking weed. I personally have no issues with weed, but we're not the NFL. And even if he's not smoking weed, it looks like he might be, and the old crusty guys are definitely going to be ordered up a random drug test on Sammy. He was dumb to bring that attention on himself. The guy's been busted for weed before. This brings attention to him, and possibly a drug test from the NFL to make SURE it's not weed. That's why we should give a ****. On the chance that smoked a little weed lately, this hookah post could trigger some testing events that could result in discipline.

I'm in my 30's. And I've actually tried it. It's fine. It's the perception of what he's doing, not the reality of it, that concerns me. (It looks like a weed bong incase that wasn't clear about my opinion) Lol

I agree, but there are so many kids without a strong family support structure that see this kind of stuff and run with it. That's the key for me. If everyone knows what that is, it's fine. But most don't.
