  1. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/wp/2014/08/01/donald-trump-could-still-own-the-buffalo-bills/ If the next step (or a step at all) in the process is for potential owners to meet with members of the estate, I can't imagine them not selling to Pegula. He will obviously make a very compelling case to keep the Bills in WNY. I can't imagine sitting in that room as a family member, after being tied to WNY for all those years and knowing what the team means to the community, and passing on the opportunity to sell to someone who grew up a fan and will keep the team in Buffalo for many years to come. We don't know what the will says, but I have to think the the members of the trust will have a say in who they sell to. Done!!
  2. I watched most of Jordan Matthews' games the past two years. Dude is solid. I would love to have him on the Bills.
  3. What I can tell you is that the Bills are talking to multiple teams, and are more actively trying to make deals to better the ball club via draft day moves than they have in some of the more recent years. You saw the beginnings of this last year with the trade-down. Expect the Bills to make some moves.
  4. How dare you offer up an educated analysis of a public document!! Just stop. You're upsetting the armchair investigators.
  5. I know how a clear mind regarding player transactions makes it easier to clean those hard to reach places.
  6. Really, if you look at the makeup of this team, getting that stud receiver would really round out things. Sure, you can argue we need upgrades of our TE and OL, but you can add those in the '15 draft. Get the WR, give him a season to adjust, then get the TE/OL who can step right in and contribute. If EJ works out, this team can be dangerous this coming season and a contender the year after that. And if EJ doesn't work out, we'll have a team ready to roll with the right QB-- see the Seahawks before Russell Wilson.
  7. I'm with you. It was funny. It was more about the PMs I was receiving. Yours was funny, and only quoted it because it was the more recent comment to my post. Sorry that wasn't clear. My bad. I think they are done trying to sign starting-caliber players, but I know they've looked at just about every one and every thing so you never know. I only have periodic access to information, so plenty of moves happen where I don't hear about it ahead of time. Also, and maybe this is obvious at this point, I know the Bills are looking hard at the WR and OL prospects for the draft.
  8. Not so much directed at this post, but I've had multiple TBD posters message me requesting that I provide sources for my information, and suggest that maybe I shouldn't post if I'm not willing to do so. Thing is, I am the source. I'm not sure what else to say. I've come on here and provided info on player signings, surprise player cuts (I let this board know of the Trent Edwards cut hours before it was made public) and other bits of useful info, like this signing.
  9. I don't know. They've pretty much performed as expected (for me) to this point, and I could see them finishing 9-7. Looking at that remaining schedule, there's a TON on winnable games in there. If they can win the KC game, I think the Bills will be in position to be right there for that last playoff spot. We're only a game and a half out right now, and we have a relatively easy schedule coming up. We'll likely need that NE game at the end of the season though, and we all know how that will turn out.
  10. This is getting old. The Bills are so hard to watch. Sigh sigh sigh sigh sigh.
  11. Not at all. I work on projects like this all the time. Municipalities spend a crazy amount of money keeping the property maintained, insured, etc so giving it away saves them hundreds of thousands of dollars. And the park will be a HUGE boost for the area. You turn areas around by developing quality public space, which will increase surrounding property tax values, etc.
  12. I have no issue with Maybin. He didn't draft himself in that spot. Jauron and Co did. Had we used a third round pick on him we all would have just chalked it up to a miss.
  13. There's at least one precedent that wasn't four games (dated, but still): http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8197e7f4/article/falcons-dt-babineaux-given-onegame-ban-for-marijuana-arrest
  14. The new stadium isn't about the Dome being outdated, etc. The state of Georgia controls a good bit of the revenue on beer sales, etc in the Dome, and building a new stadium allows Blank to tap into those revenue streams, not unlike his peers already do. Also, the tax payer money being contributed to the new stadium comes from a hotel tax, so it all comes from people who travel to Atlanta to stay in their hotels, not from local tax payers. And by law, these funds can only be spend on projects that will grow tourism, etc so it's not as if these funds could be used for other things.
