  1. The Bills picked up Vince Young, then cut him suddenly when he had a bad game (I think his game performance was DECENT the game before, if I recall). They scrambled to grab T. Jackson last minute, which seemed pretty hasty and had many wondering why they made such an 11th hour move for someone who may not be better than Young. Is it possible that after working with the staff this offseason that Chan and Co knew that Fitz would struggle, and that they needed to go out and find a new starter once Fitz failed? If you recall, they put Trent Edwards out there for a little while, giving him every chance to sucseed, and then pulled the plug. I'm just wondering, did they see this coming with Fitz and THAT'S why they made the last minute trade for Jackson after Young struggled late? Discuss.
  2. This makes me so happy. I'm going to go drink now.
  3. This is my favorite quote, gets me every time!
  4. All the negativity about picking graham, and that the Bills used a seventh rounder to move up... you guys kill me. I mean, come on! We know buddy doesn't like trading away picks, so clearly there must have been a reason. As far as the pick itself... seen the guy play live twice. He can FLY and the Bills really need that. It's funny though how so many of you have a negative opinion of him because some "expert" had him ranked for selection in another round.
  5. Do you think he was just nervous, or do you think he was upset about being drafted by Buffalo?
  6. Looking into my BS crystal ball... think a swap of first round picks with the cowboys could be in our future, if whoever Dallas covets is still there...
  7. I enjoy reading about (and participating in) debates over who the Bills should take at #10. But honestly, the best pick the Bills could make is.... whoever Buddy & Co select tomorrow night. Take a look at the Bills history of making first round draft picks (not new news here, for sure, but it's worth taking a peak at: http://www.databasefootball.com/draft/draftteam.htm?tm=BUF&lg=NFL You could argue that the last two first rounders, the only two that were made by Buddy, are AT LEAST in the top 5 of their first round picks since 1996 (Moulds), and after another year or two they might be the cream of the crop. There's no reason to think this trend will not continue. So whoever they select, I'll be excited about it. I get it, we've spent the last 15 years questioning every draft decision, and for good reason. But it appears the person steering the ship knows exactly what they're doing, so we should just sit back, relax and watch the pick become an difference maker for our up and coming Bills.
  8. I've been going to Atlanta Bills clubs since '98 and attending BBA's events since '05. I thought the food and atmosphere at Hudson was the best of the bunch. But since the good folks running the BBA have always done such a great job and never steer us wrong, I'm looking forward to trying out the new location.
  9. Whoever the Bills select, I just want him to be a really good player. I don’t care what position he plays. Buddy’s done a good job of upgrading the talent level, and I just want another example of that. So, yes, BPA. But that’s me. I’m a simple man.
  10. You could talk me into any of the round 2-4 picks.
  11. If it's true that the talent level drops off after picks 5-7, I bet teams would line up at OBD to trade their late first round pick for Spiller, even w/o the 3rd round pick. With what he showed last year alone he's probably better, and more of a sure bet, than just about anyone taken outside of the top 5-7.
  12. There's no doubt that the merrits of using taxpayer dollars to support NFL teams is a topic that is ready made for debate, but at the end of the day I feel like the Bills have done a pretty good job of doing improvements to the current facility in order to keep the expense small enough- relatively speaking- to make it affordable to WNY. Also, one thing to think about is the source of the funds to pay back the bonds for the deal. If they surcharge tickets OR take a slice of the parking OR whatever, it might then be paid off in part from outside dollars (folks coming in from out of town for the game and spending dollars in WNY/at games). BTW, I bet the Bills could pay for at least 25% of the improvments if they placed a $1 surcharge on beer. I mean, if we're already paying like $8.50 a beer, what's another dollar? It's already crossed the affordability threshold!
  13. You can convince me of a few different options at the #10 spot, but I realy like the idea of adding an LB like Kuechly because IF he ends up being the next Urlacher-type LB then our DEF can be scary good for a long time. Like others, I'm not comfortable with our LB core, both in the short and long term. Love to have a guy step in and have a long career behind that nasty D-line.
  14. Even though I'm not a fan of Hill (see earlier post) people need to stop judging him based on stats. WRs do more blocking than route running in GTs triple option. Stats won't paint an accurate picture for guys coming out of GT, Army, etc.
  15. I've posted about Hill before. I'm a GT season ticket holder and have watched him live many times. Stay away from him. He's soft, injury prone and has had countless drops in key situations. He's sprinkled in a few nice catches that end up making a nice highlight reel, but that's about it. Also, all this Chan/GT/Hill stuff.... Gailey was fired a year and a half before Hill suited up for GT, so other than maybe a scouting trip there's no connection there. I wouldn't spend anything higher than a 4th rounder on him (at that point he MIGHT be worth the gamble).
  16. That Peter Pan page is getting some serious hits. I've fallen for it twice today, and the second time it took like 30 seconds to come up. That server is going down of this keeps up!!
  17. I heard the deal just fell through........ ..............wait, can't do it. Can't even keep a stright face on gthe board. LOL. Just kidding.
  18. You guys crack me up. All this praise for him makes me chuckle. At GT, when he ran open down the sideline, and the ball was thrown his way, we got the point to where we'd turn away from the play and look the other way b/c we couldn't sit there and watch him drop ANOTHER pass. He's also soft. The dude hears footsteps. He also got carried off the field like a bagillion times at GT after getting hurt on plays. But he looked good at the combine, so he'd be awesome in the B-Lo, right???...
