  1. Misinformed, I guess. While there are no doubt hurdles for some, not every single athlete grows up in the hood and in an environment that doesn't allow them to educate themselves. There are plenty of very smart black athletes AND there have been some very dumb white players. I just don't think anyone can make blanket statements about the correlation between skin color and desire to study.
  2. While there are no doubt some inherent physical tools that would allow certain kinds of people to be better than others at certain positions, your statement about whites enjoying studying more than blacks is indeed racist.
  3. Love the highlights. There appears to be SOOOO much talent at the top of this draft. Please Buddy, PLEASE don't screw this pick up. There's like 6-10 different players that you can argue make sense to take at #3. many of them look like they can be beasts i nthe NFL. Please get this right and get one of those guys.
  4. If you look at those pass attempts on a per game average, he still had a decent amount. The run total is up there only because of the offense they ran and that he was their best option when running the ball. It's not indicative of him being a run first guy. IMO.
  5. No doubt the self promoting spirit CN seems to have is a red flag, but I'm still willing to roll the dice on him. Trent Dilfer, who I think is pretty good at judging a QB's ability to play in the NFL, was not a Tebow fan but is raving about CN. That's enough for me.
  6. Fig, love the avatar. I change my mind daily on my opinion of the Bills possibly drafting CN. If we draft him and he's a bust, we've wasted another choice draft pick. But if we pass, and he becomes this amazing player, well, that would suck too. I'm tempted to lean towards us rolling the dice on him, only because we need something great to happen and he offers the most big splash/high impact potential to change a franchise's fortune. Yes, I'd love to build a great DEF with one of the top DL players, but I'm so desperate for a star QB that I thnk we should take a chance.
  7. Would have loved to pick "Other" for round 1, if that was an option. For example, if we go QB with the first pick Gabbert would be an option and some might prefer him over Newton. or if Fairley falls to #3 and we take him. Etc. Just saying.
  8. I like this, at least as far as having hope for our QB situation should the Bills draft someone like Dalton, who I admittedly haven't seen much of. Worth noting that if Stanzi had like three more completions TOTAL for his career that he'd make the cut as well.
  9. Stop bringing all your facts and relevant information to the conversation. It's ruining all my fun!!
  10. Not saying we would be better, but the chances of having a more level playing field with the better teams in our division increases if everyone is trying to throw together a scab roster vs how the current teams are constructed.
  11. Just saying, going like 1-3 to start each season and being out of it by October is getting old. This could spice things up a bit. If the scabs somehow got us a couple game lead, all of a sudden you're thinking "wow, if we can win game x and game y after the non-scab players come back, we might have a shot to win the division!" It's a sad reflection of where I'm at as a fan, but it's the truth. IMO, the best shot we have to win the division in 2011 is if there's a lockout. Now, I can get on board with this one!! Although I don't think we'll be bad enough for the overall #1, and I don't like to go into seasons playing for draft positioning, I think he's a special case and I do agree this is worth considering as a "con" to my scab/division record post.
  12. Like every other fan, I want the current issues resolved and for there to be football this coming season. But, it's worth mentioning that given the gap between us and the Jets/Cheatriots, a lockout could bring about the use of scabs (ala the lockout in the 1980's) and the potential for us to immediately close that gap for a short period of time (not saying it would definitely happen because who knows which scab players we would get. But there's a chance). Imagine our scabs going 4-0 and the others AFC squads not doing as well. The lockout ends and we have a two or three game lead. For the first time in a long while, we'd have an interesting season? I almost want to roll the dice with a lockout and see what happens! In the long run, yes, we need our current players to get out there, play, and gain experience. Just saying, a lockout could make things interesting.
  13. I don't really get a LB coach being an assistant coach. It's like being a project manager at a job, having a VP for a boss but the project manager is also the special assistant to the CEO. It undermineds the VP. Not saying Edwards is the guy, but if that's going to be DW's role, then just get rid of Edwards. Sounds like it's going to be confusing for everyone. I like bringing on someone with experience, but this is just weird (I get it, you almost have to give that title to DW if he's going to join, but still...)
  14. Is anyone even sure we're running a 3-4 next year? If we've brought in Dave W for an interview/other, and from what I understand he's a 4-3 guy, I'm not so sure. I wonder if Chan/Buddy even know for sure.
  15. REALLY hoping Fairley's there, and REALLY hoping we take him. If he's not there, I like Bowers. If those guys aren't there, I really don't mind taking the DB from LSU. I know, I know. But he still looks like a game changer, and we need more of those, even at a positions that might not be of greatest need (although I think we're not as set at that postion as some might think).
  16. Sure. But if you're a GM trying to build a team and has said (ala Buddy) that the rebuilding is a process, I wouldn't think you'll be likley to ditch the follwing year's RD 1 pick (which will likey be a high pick if you're a bad team, wehich means you'll have a shot at Luck) for a player in this year's draft, unless you know the player you're taking is going to make a huge difference.
  17. I love this idea, but I don't have the confidence in our front office to pull this off or even think this way. But it would indeed be great. There might not be any takers thouhg, knowing that Luck will be there next year, unless a team like Cinci is delusional and thinks they can win now and will want this year's second rounder to get that "last piece" in place.
  18. I've got a feeling that we'll take a QB, if only because Ralph made his statement eariler in the season about drafting one. If indeed he has input on our selection (which many of us assume) you know he wants a franchise QB. Unless, of course, Buddy and Co can convince him that a franchise guy will slip to them in Round 2 (only if Buddy wants to go non-QB with the Round 1 pick, that is). I doubt Buddy and Ralph think Fitz is the answer.
  19. Or, he sold it because he's like quadroopling his money...
  20. Nope. I wasn't saying that the videos should be changed out regularly or comment on the good work of people who contribute to making this site great. I'm just saying that, as a fan and someone who frequents the site, it's depressing to see the video up there. Like a picture of an ex girlfriend hanging up in your locker, it's easier to get over her if you just take the picture down and not have to look at it. That sort of thing.
  21. I don't find it disrespectful, but I do think whether or not it should be on the homepage of the site is absolutely debatable. One one hand, it is pretty big event that happened in a Bills game and should be highlighted. On the other hand, as a fan I'm kinda sick of seeing it on there. It's a reminder of how bad that play was. I could do w/o it.
