  1. Bills record: 7-9 (sigh) Lottery: 13, 17, 31, 15, 56, 57 (Is that even enough numbers? it's been a while since I played. If not add 61 and/or 7-- and here's where the magic disappears for me!!)
  2. Heading there with a group for NCAA Tourney opening weekend!!! But other than some luck at the craps table last time, my luck does not carry to LV.
  3. I used to live by that as well. Never bought one of someone who hadn't played a couple years and produced. But being a GT season ticket holder and seeing CJ run all over us during his years at Clemson, I'm 100% sure this guy is special. The risk, of course, would have been that for whatever reason he never ended up playing a down for the Bills (contract, injury, other). But otherwise, I'm pretty sure he's going to be a very solid Bill.
  4. Thanks for the kudos everyone. Really though, I'm just excited CJ's deal is done, especially since I bought a Spiller jersey two months ago!
  5. If you look anything like your avatar, then yes. Um, yes.
  6. The announcement that Spiller and the Bills have come to terms on a deal will come tomorrow (Friday). What am I basing this on? Nothing factual and no insider information. Nothing like that. Really, nothing at all, other than my Spidey sense. I'm good at randomly predicting things like "I feel like there's going to be an interception on this play" and "I bet after pushing the elevator call button that the elevator doors to the left will open first, not the doors on the right". When I walked out of a meeting an hour ago- and 1,000 miles from training camp- I just had a gutt feeling this thing was done. So I'm throwing it out there. The deal is done and will be announced tomorrow. Mark it down!!
  7. From article: "A new memoir by Jill Kelly, with passages by her husband Jim, is scheduled for release next month. The forthright, wide-ranging book tentatively titled "Without a Word" draws back the curtain that has obscured the private lives of the Kellys during the 20-odd years they have held center stage in Buffalo's celebrity spotlight." Anyone else read that at first and think it read "wide right". Just me? I have a problem moving on...
  8. Plus, when whatever network is airing the Bills game that week has to take their token shot of the Falls, they'd be right there! Seriously though, I have no problem with the Falls idea. So long as they're not called the Niagara Bills like someone previoulsy suggested. That's just dumb.
  9. That's crossed my mind as well. Even though, in general, I lean towards that being a bad use of land because of what COULD be there instead, unlike downtown Buffalo I feel like Niagara Falls is a lost cause and we should put whatever we can there! I used to work for a company trying to redevelop downtown NF and wow. Wow, what a mess.
  10. +1. Most cities that put their football stadiums in downtown, the area is a crime haven the 355 days/year it's not used. Waterfronts and downtowns need continous activity, not something that gets used sparingly. I was in Buffalo last weekend. Stayed at the new Embassy Suites downtown, drove around and looked at all the new things happening (new Frank Lloyd Wright house was built, Deleware and Elmwood look GREAT after not seeing them for 10 years, the naval yard has some great additions, new buildings going up near city hall). Sure things aren't happening at light speed, but things are moving in a good direction. A football stadium would just kill the area around it. Keep it in the 'burbs with surface parking and tailgating.
  11. I agree with this thinking. Also don't forget CLE took McCoy and if he progresses he might be an option for them. I'm a huge Locker fan- I just think he LOOKS like a QB that should be playing in Buffalo (has that LB-like build that Kelly had). I feel like the Bills are in a good position. Either A) things work out this year with one of the QBs and we (hopefully) do well, or B) we stink but get a franchise QB in the draft next year.
  12. Really? Wow. Thought it pertained to each game, not the TV schedule of the entire day/NFL. D'oh! That makes me rethink my choice to ditch Sunday Ticket...
  13. I was looking into this as well after ditching Sunday Ticket. This is my understanding of how it works: You pay for the service and get the games online. You have access to the games immediately after they end. If you wait for some amount of time (want to say it's an hour after the end of the game) you will have the option to watch the games commercial free. The tough part, of course, is avoiding the score until you watch it. But if you can pull that off, it seems like a good way to go.
  14. It's our blues, not the throwback. Would've been fine with either one though. It's sweet,
  15. Only Evans. I've been fortunate and haven't had one of those "get a jersey and the guy is a bust of gets cut within a year" situations. They've all lasted a good amount of time. Jerseys have been Thomas, Smith, Reed, Kelly, Moulds, Flutie, Bledsoe, Spikes, Evans and now Spiller. Usually I will avoid getting a jersey of a player who hasn't even played a game for the Bills, but watching this kid play against my Yellow Jackets, I just feel really good about him and his career.
  16. My brother actually got it and sent it to me as a gift. Not sure where he got it from.
  17. Just got mine! In one word, it's "sweeeeeeeeet". I probably own roughly 10 Bills jerseys, and I have to say I love opening up a new jersey when it arrives in the mail. No matter how I feel about a Bills season, getting that jersey in the mail brings on feelings of joy, hope and optimism. Just like tailgating and kick-off at a home opener. LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
