  1. As someone who is a GT season ticket holder and believes that Chan Gailey is one of the worst coaches GT has ever had, I strongly disagreed with the decision to hire him. But I have to say, he's done a solid job with the Bills. He's a different guy than he was at GT. Maybe a light bulb went off for him between jobs, but it's amazing how different he is, both in how he handles the media and how he calls games. He was VERY conservative at GT and watching GT play was like watching paint dry. I don't know what happened, but whatever it was I'm glad!!
  2. DIU, we're reacting to the statement made in the original post, "#1) Stevie Johnson -- A Must !! This guy will be our #1 receiver !! And when Easley comes back & get's some playing time i predict Bills fans will finally realize Evans isn't all that but should be trade bate !! "
  3. The discounting of Lee Evans cracks me up. One fo the main reasons SJ is so open is that Lee is demanding safety help. Without Lee, Stevie's numbers are much worse. I like having them both in there.
  4. NOT a dumb play by Spiller. If it was the end of the game and the score was the same, then yes, dumb (ala the McKelvin). But at that juncture in the game you don't play to protect a lead. You're going to lose that way. They wanted to attack. I'm 100% fine with this.
  5. I'm all for the NFL suspending players for hard hits. I mean, the Bills don't have anyone that hits hard, so it won't impact us, but many of our opponents have good players that are feared and hit hard. Gives us a better chance to win! Plus, I don't want anyone injuring Spiller!!
  6. Hmmm, trading a lot away for a QB who played/shined in a limited number of games. Where have I heard this one before.....
  7. Polian, Ralph Wilson and whoever the best moderator/counselor/negotiator is to ever work for the NFL. Let's get the band back together!!!!!
  8. Since his signing bonus is a sunk cost, you might as well keep him for a while. I don't think you'll save all that much by cutting him. Might as well give it a couple more years and see if he blossoms. It doesn't really hurt to keep him, other than him being a reminder of past draft failures.
  9. For me, all these QB prospects are both talented and have their limitations. I want the guy that will be the field general, the leader. If we get the guy from the Luck/Locker/Mallett/other group that is the best LEADER, we'll have made a great choice. Here's hoping Buddy and Co can identify those leaderership qualities in these guys (i.e. hopefulyl they'll get lucky!).
  10. Agree. Not too say he's not a bust, but he made his presence felt more so than just about any other game that I can remember. At least he was hitting people today!....
  11. I liked Locker before the season started, but after watching him this year his delivery... not so good. Mallett, I like him but Petrino makes QBs look REALLY good (note that most of his receivers are WIDE open). Haven't made up my mind on him. That leaves Luck, who might not come out. If he doesn't, I'm thinking we take the best LT/DT/LB and then go QB the following year. And maybe roll the dice on Locker if he drops to the 3rd/4th round.
  12. +1. We have gotten more than our fill of neg attention over the last decade plus. Don't need an 0-fer hanging on us as well.
  13. I'm still of the opinion that Spiller will get limited touches this year because Buddy is, in a sense, redshirting him. Why put miles on him when the team isn't ready to compete?
  14. At this point, I'm fine with them running the wildcat on every single play. Serioulsy.
  15. I feel the same, but I also think that drafting a QB and trading for/signing a decent LT will help things enough to get us excited again (even though we might not be able to put it all back together anytime soon). Luck/Locker/Mallet with a new LT, our current G/C/G - which I actually think is fine- Evans, Spiller and Freddie- I think can be pretty good. I do question the ability of our front office to get it done, but we're due to get one of these draft picks right, right? Our DEF, that's another story.....
  16. I agree with both. We're clearly trying to swap talent now for picks, and he has more trade value of any of our players. If we're planning for the future at this juncture, we should consider moving him. At the same time, it'll be rough enough for our new QB to succeed, so taking a weapon away isn't the best idea. At the end of the day though, I feel like they'll make the wrong choice, whatever it is.
  17. +1. Just checked wiki. He ran for almost 1,800 yards in 2005 in another league. Miles are miles no matter where they happen.
