  1. I'm guessing he's still around only because of that nice signing bonus- the Bills have invested too much money in him to part ways- but would it make sense to cut him and use the cap space to add another player, one that can contribute? Just sayin'.....
  2. I'm with DML2005. Born in Buffalo, lived in Atlanta the last 13 years. I'll take Buffalo weather over Atlanta any day. When it snows like crazy, that can be fun (skiing, etc). When it's this hot in Atlanta, you're only choice is to stay inside.
  3. I've been a GT season ticket holder since 1998. I watched every play this guy ever made in college. The guy is a gamer and has done anything ever asked of him (recruited by Chan to run a pro-style offense but then Johnson switched him into a very successful triple option QB). He is crazy talented, a good kid and will play any position that is asked of him. Will he find a spot on the final roster? I hope so. I think a change of pace triple option wildcat with Josh, Fred and Spiller could be really interesting. And he COULD be an effective 3rd string QB if that helps justify the roster spot for a wildcat appearance or two per game.
  4. I would have agreed with your comment until watching Bettman play very different roles in the PHX and ATL potential sale/relocations. Goodell can absolutely involve himself enough to, at the very least, give the Bills every chance to stay in Buffalo.
  5. You could just look up their phone number and call them... (sorry, i couldn't resist!)
  6. This. I know the sentiment behind the OP thoughts on us not getting respect, and while I think sometimes that tied to the Bills sheoty performance ove the past decade-plus, in this case it's really just about not leaking the new jerseys.
  7. This. They need to keep their focus on getting better on the field and not on saying things for the show.
  8. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-bills-pensions I get that a company needs to cut back when income/profit decreases... i've been there... but isn't this premature? I mean, at this point in the offseason there wouldn't be any money coming in the door (not from ticket sales, anyway). If they have to do this, why not wait until preseason home game #1 is missed, thus impacting their revenue? I usually don't subscribe to the "Ralph is cheap" talk, but this is making me rethink my stance on that one.
  9. I was at that game. He looked great. Then it all went dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn hhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllll.................
  10. I don't recall the person or event that the OP mentions......
  11. I really hadn't jumped on the Buddy Nix bandwagon until this news broke this afternoon. Love. This. Move. Thank you Buddy!!!
  12. NGU, we need you! We're all excited about the MD pick, but now we'd love to know if there's any inside info to pass along regarding pick #34. In related news, "You Da Man/Woman"!!
  13. I voted for Ayers, but really I'd be happy with any of about a dozen players on that list. Holy value in this draft, batman!
  14. The title of this thread..... laugh out loud funny...... great stuff ED..... funny on multiple levels.
  15. I really do think Fitz showed enough to be "the guy" for a couple more years. Had he been given the entire year to start, like many have said he could have been a 30 TD guy. We can grab a Ponder-like QB in later rounds this year or next year if Nix feels they can mold him into Fitz's successor. But gosh, we need help on the DEF side. Go LB/DT/DE or even DB. I don't care, so long as he's a playmaker. If you get a DEF stud and another DEF starter in round two, coupled with the returning guys on OFF knowing Chan's system, and Easley coming back..... I actually think we have a shot at a winning season.
  16. This is a story that, well, isn't a story. Some things need to be maintained, even if the facility doesn't get used. The Buffalo News article (link within the story) says that the Bills get reimbursed for other actual gameday expenses only if they play games. No story here.
  17. This. You said it better than I did (note to self: no more replying via Andriod phone while at stoplights).
  18. No doubt there are large segments where this is an issue. There are also plenty of white athletes that are raised in similar situations. No doubt that whites, in general, have better access to education which in turn can translate into more of them playing a position that requires a higher IQ than others, along with the other poster that commented on the better athletes getting put at other positions in high school because of the needs/demands of the positions at that time. But my initial comments surround making a blanket statement about how much black athletes enjoy studying. Saying just because someone is black means they don't like to study is racist.
