  1. I get both sides of the big deal/no big deal discussion. But I can't shake the fact that he posted a video of himself smoking anything at all, regardless of what it is. it just sends the wrong message. I think the same thing was said about cocain at one point. Not comparing them, but just because the cool kids are doing it doesn't make it right.
  2. I get it. I was just joking around.
  3. Is that code for smoking weed? Lol. Seriously though, I know it's probably fine, but at first glance it looks like he's getting high watching the basketball game. Seems like a risky FB post to me.
  4. Anyone follow Sammy Watkins on Facebook? He just posted what I sure hope is him smoking legal stuff out of a Hookah.
  5. If you're in your late 20's or younger, you have little to no recollection of the Bills run. And, nationally, people older than that don't know nearly as much about that team as we do.
  6. It sounds kinda crazy, but honestly I'd love it! The Bills have built this team to win NOW. Why not see if he has one more year in him?!! IMO, the only reason not to is if they've seen something in EJ this off-season that make them believe he's the guy.
  7. This. The whole idea of "developing a QB" doesn't really exist at the pro level. They either have it or they don't. That's it.
  8. From that article: "He went to Oakland as offensive coordinator in 2010. That season, the Raiders scored 410 points, more than TWICE as many as the year before and 90 points higher than in any season since the 2002 team with Rich Gannon at quarterback." In.
  9. The guy had nothing to work with. Again, he made lemonade out of lemons. Send the best three coaches in the league to, say, the Bucs, but it won't help Tampa make the playoffs. They need players. And we have them, at least on DEF. A good head coach can get the most out of the talent he has. IMO, Jackson wold get the most out of this team.
  10. PSLs in Buffalo will work themselves out. If they set the prices too high and they don't sell, they'll have to make adjustments. But why NOT charge at least some kind of PSL if they can? Even if it's $500/ticket you're talking about over $30 million. That's some cheddar.
  11. Good for those people. But clearly the Raiders didn't have the DEF we have. Based on what happened to the Raiders after he left, it's clear he was making lemonade out of lemons. With our current DEF, almost any coach can go 8-8 with Buffalo right now.
  12. I would be all for this. 8-8 with the Raiders?!! Dude can coach. Period.
  13. Um, the date. Not even close. You'd like to think we'll stumble into a playoff game sometime in the next handful of years, but there's no way Erin Andrews is looking to date any one us. So if the situation were to arise, I'm going with the date.
  14. I really enjoy all the overreactions and nit-picking analysis on TSW. Good grief guys. Highlights: "Marrone is smug". WHO CARES. I can name a successful coach who's pretty darn smug. "Russ is smiling". PLEASE. This doesn't matter at all. And all the criticism over Whaley's response to the analytics question? Those are some of the best comments. All teams use analytics, most likely use them differently and none will ever tell the fans or media how they use them. It's absolutely proprietory, and for all we know analytics could be why we overachieved at times this year. You guys make me laugh.
  15. This. If EJ stinks Orton will be starting ASAP. Biggest game of his career.
  16. I'm willing to go on record and place my bet on TG/JK winning this thing... or at least they'll make it closer than many think. My theory: The plan all along was to sell to TG, at least for those members of the trust who want to keep the team in Buffalo. If the reports are true, that TG didn't place that initial bid on time... well, that was by design. Wait to hear from those in the trust where the bids came in, jump in with a late bid just above the others to save the team, and be the savior. It also looks like TG is the last bidder to meet with the Trust. Also by design. When the trust/family members interested in keeping the team in Buffalo planned this out, they had no idea El Pegs would come in with such a strong offer. Which is great... except that some of these folks have been around the team for a LONG time and probably feel very loyal to JK. Which is why some of them are trying to get him in the mix here. Wherever JK lands is who's going to get this team.
  17. While mathematically true, it's actually the opposite. While the interest would cost them more, it's not like these guys are sitting around with their money in a .01% money market account. They would use the money they're NOT spending on the team - and instead financing - and do other things with it that would likely earn them more the rate they're paying on the team loan. So from a net worth standpoint, you'd want to finance as much as possible, and I'm guessing owners finance as much as they can.
  18. I sign these pretty often. It's really about protecting the financial asset you're reviewing and isn't really included as a 'gotcha!' sort of thing. My guess: nothing happens. It's still about maximizing the value for the trust. If the Bills were a public entity, then this stuff would matter. But bottom line... if one of these groups that have violated the NDA steps up with a huge offer of some kind, the NDA violations to date will not prevent the trust from selling to them. The losing bidder may sue, but that's not likely.
  19. I could read this thread all day long. I think I have, actually.
