I'm ready for the season to start. I've had my fill of all the offseason/preseason drafts, camps, articles, optimists, pessimists, preseason games, QB discussion, etc. I'm ready. I want to see if Trent can take his preseason success to Week 1 and beyond. I want to see CJ Spiller make the Dolphins look silly. I want to see our 3-4 DEF grow and get better week after week. I want people who've been saying the Bills are cellar dwellers to eat their words! LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!!!!

I've said this before on the boards, but I'm a GT season ticket holder and don't think Chan is a good coach. He's good at all the stuff we've seen so far, but Chan's in game coaching, while not as bad as Jauron's, leaves plenty to be desired. Before we decide if he's the right guy or not, let's watch him coach some games that count.

It would be nice to give guys a chance to catch on with other teams, but the way our injuries are going I don't think we have that luxury.

I am making the trip to Green Bay for the Bills Week 2 matchup with the Packers. I make it to one away game each year, and while I enjoy visiting other stadiums, no previous roadie has had me more excited that this pending journey to Lambeau! I can't wait to tailgate and to walk into that place! All this, with ZERO expectations that the Bills will be able to compete in that game. If they do, all the better!

I like the Bills text alerts b/c the news always seems to hit there first, but when they send texts that say "Bills sign TE JP Foschi" I want ot text back with "please only send me news that matters, I get charged per text msg!". I mean, that wasn't worth 10 cents...

1. At home, by myself, with a giant HD screen. (I would be too stressed out to watch with others) Maybe another person or two would be there. 2. I'm guessing the scene at Niagara Square would be something we'd never forget. 3. Yes. It would be uplifting at first, but eventually everyone would start all the "there's nothing going on here/politics hold back this city/blah blah blah" attitude that keeps the city/region down. IF I were to watch with a group, this might be the way to go.

That's a tough one. Clearly people who draft CJ or FJ are going to have good weeks some weeks and bad the others. I can see Spiller having a 2TD week one week and then not get much the next if FJ gets hot. Great for us/Bills, bad for fanatsy owners. I'm guessing some drafts he'll go as ealry as the late first round (too early, but someone will jump on him) and others he'll last until rounds four or five. IMO, there's too much potential for anyone to pass on him beyond the first 3-4 rounds. The guys is going to have some huge weeks. It just won't be consistent.

Not sure if anyone listens to the 2 Live Stews (based in ATL but show is broadcast in syndictaion as well). Today they were heaping a little praise on our boy CJ, debating whether of not he could be the next Barry Sanders. Regardless of your opinion on the topic, it was just great to hear some hype and excitement for a Buffalo Bill outside of Buffalo. It's been a while since we've had a player/talent, in their prime, that has national appeal.

Agreed. And I don't like Chan (I'm a GT season ticket holder who wanted him out of GT as badly as I wanted Jauron out of Buffalo). But nine wins, given what he has to work with, is unrealistic. Heck, if he wins seven with this talent and transition I'd sign him to an extension!!!

How often do teams actually turn one of these guys nobody else wants into a playoff caliber QB? It rarely happens. The "flavors of the week" are all these castaways that some Bills fans suddenly feel could help this team win. The answer to the Bills QB need is either 1) already the starter on a top 6-8 team, or 2) in next year's draft. Since we're not getting a Top 6-8 guy (ala the way the Saints landed Brees) our option is the draft. These flavors of the week won't help us obtain our goal of winning a Super Bowl, so why make the move. It's short sighted. My opinion/suspicion is that Nix really likes one of the QBs in next year's draft and doesn't want to make a move at QB right now just to get marginally better and miss the chance to take a guy they really want to build around. They drafted for D this year. Let it develop this season and take a QB and LT next year. The D can then carry us while our rookie QB and LT adjust to the NFL.

As far as I'm concerned, all these guys (Edwards, Fitz, Brohm, Brennan, QB X that will/might get cut from team Y, etc) are all the same. I understand the sentiment behind wanting to bring guys in since the fan base isn't satisfied with our current group, but none of these other Flavors of the Week are going to do THAT MUCH better than the guys we have with a team that has a new coach, new offense, new defense and concerns at the LT position. Nix and Co are building this thing through the draft. If (when) our current group of QBs fail, we'll draft someone. The quick fix solution might win us an extra game or two/three but, really, does it matter if we go 4-12 or 7-9? No. Lets do this thing right instead of rushing arond looking for a band-aid.
