AFC Divisional Playoff - Chiefs @ Bills - 2nd half game thread
sven233 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nate Geary @NateGearySports The Bills have held to Chiefs to just 3 third downs to far tonight. Not a winning formula. Whatever McDermott did this week was a complete waste of time. The defense blows....... -
Didn’t Nate Geary say he’d resign from WGR if the Bills drafted Josh Allen? The tool should have kept his word.

With the 15th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Laiatu Latu, DE, UCLA. The Colts went into the draft with a huge need at Corner and would’ve selected Quinyon Mitchell if available. However, the board didn’t fall in favor of that to take place. We gave strong consideration to Nate Wiggins, but ultimately went with the most complete pass rusher in the draft. He passed our medical exams at the combine, and has enjoyed back to back healthy/productive seasons at UCLA. With all the new young guns in the division, what better way to counter, than to bolster the pass rush. @NeverOutNick and the Seattle Seahawks are now on the clock.

With the 15th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Jared Verse, DE, FSU…go NOLES! The Colts went into the draft with a huge need at Corner and would’ve selected Quinyon Mitchell if available. However, the board didn’t fall in favor of that to take place. That being said, Verse is far and away the best player available on our draft board. We also considered Latu, but had injury concerns, and Nate Wiggins, who is a bit undersized (light in the pants). Verse was the cleanest prospect left. With all the new young guns in the division, what better way to counter, than to bolster the pass rush.

Because Peterman was and still is the superior player. And you morons ran him out of town. We'd have a couple of championships by now if they had the cojones to stick with the great Nate.
-
When Easton stick takes off his helmet but its actually Nate peterman
-
Good point nate- Mahomes’ lack of scrambling is the difference in the game imo.
-
The Jets offense would stink even with Rodgers. Bad OL, bad weapons, and Nate Hackett. Terrible.

Jets cut Boyle bring in Rypien

Has Nate even skated on thick ice??? Ever??? -
Truly, Peterman looked outstanding in 2018, and won the job clean from Josh. Then the regular season hit. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Nate Peterman turned into a really, really good coach.
-
OOOOOOOUUUCCCH. I mean, it might actually be the best chance for them to make the postseason, but even with Sean Payton being a massive upgrade over Nate Hackett, that is a telling condemnation.

Inside Jets dysfunction article in the Athletic

In a cutthroat league where all teams fire even good coaches who don't have immediate winning success, it's truly amazing how a boob like Nate Hackett has failed up and kept high level positions for so many years. He should be studied by science for the hope of future young hacks everywhere in all professions. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills

The only difference between Allen and Mahomes is luck of the draw. Mahomes went to the greatest playcaller possibly ever with two first-ballot HOF pass catchers. Allen went to a guy who is so poor at evaluating offensive talent that he thought Nate Peterman should initially start over him. -
What a difference an OC makes. It feels like we just replaced Nate Hackett in here.
-
As far as I understand it, Nate Peterman is a whiteboard wizard. Essentially an extra coach in the QB room. It's what's kept him employed in the league and I expect that he'll be a great OC if he decides to get into coaching.

I thought the Kyle Brandt take was interesting for a similar reason. He said it's hard to imagine that Diggs relationship with Josh Allen or his relationship with the Bills "or both" had nothing to do with this, because both were "mercurial at best". Kyle has been a Josh Allen fan-boy for a couple of years, and we can probably assume he has a bit of "tea" in the pot "off the record" there. I agree with Nate that Josh's input was probably sought (not his vote as Geary implies, but his input), and that if Josh had said "He's My Guy" and went to the mat, it probably doesn't go down, at least not for a bag of peanuts and a case of that underwear Stef and his brother shill for.
-
Yeah, I don't think Nate is doing the team or Josh any favors by bringing negative attention to him from a situation from well over a year ago. Seems very tacky and unprofessional to even go there. If something happened, it happened and can't be taken back. When people ask him what happened, he keeps responding with "read my article". So tacky. FWIW I "read his article" and it said nothing of what happened, just that something happened, which he has already stated on Twitter. We have been having a really funky off season, do we have to bring negative attention to the QB, all to stick up for a WR that has his own not so great reputation?

God Bless Nate Hackett
-
Worse. They have Nate Hackett
-
Yep, as you said, we will have them the rest of the way since CBS has the SB. There is also an alternate simulcast of the SB on Nickelodeon, featuring Nate Burleson, Noah Eagle, SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Starr, Sandy Cheeks, Larry the Lobster, Dora the Explorer, and Boots: https://clutchpoints.com/super-bowl-gets-wild-spongebob-dora-boost

He strikes me as the kind of guy who goes around making enemies and is likely to be the guy who doesn't fit in to the culture. I.E., he's NOT a "good guy" that people like. It's amazing how much money he has made, and how much time he has spent in the NFL. Once you get in that club, it's impossible to leave! How about our old friend Nate Hackett? I still can't believe that guy has a job.

So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?
Cheektowaga Chad replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is still very poor at in game management and at this point that just is never going to change I've thought this since he named Nate Peterman starting qb with a team very much alive in the playoff race. So my opinion isn't going to change at this point -
Rodgers feels guilt over Wilson situation
Just in Atlanta replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
He should feel guilty about bringing Nate Hackett to NY.
