That is the last of my 1st/2nd borderline guys. So in terms of 1st round types it really is Johnny Newton, Nate Wiggins, Cooper DeJean, Kool-Aid and Xavier Legette for me. If people are interested AD Mitchell is #8 remaining for me and Worthy is #10 remaining.

I voted trade down if possible. There are still a number of WR left and most could help the Bills if they pan out. I don’t know that I’d be tempted by Nate Wiggins, but I would have had to think hard if Verse, Latu or even Robinson is left.

Nate Odomes had a similar career to Tre. Very productive, lasted longer than the average CB but injuries ended his career in a similar fashion.

Although Newton is rated higher, I think him playing the same position as Chris Jones leads me to my pick. As the best man-coverage cornerback in this draft class, Wiggins is a perfect fit for Kansas City. It’s true: he doesn’t have the size that most Chiefs cornerbacks have — but neither did Trent McDuffie. While McDuffie has more weight and density, Wiggins is longer — and should profile better as an outside cornerback. Im guessing you have never watched Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield, and every other great comic that came long before PG Seinfeld who had edgy and vulgar comedy. Although since that’s your style of comedy I would recommend Nate Bargatze who is a hilarious comic and clean. He’s got amazing specials on Netflix and one on Amazon.

In the playoff game against the Chiefs, Diggs had 3 receptions on 8 targets, for 21 yards. When targeting Diggs, Allen averaged 2.6 yards per attempt. Allen's career average is 7.2 yards per attempt. Now look at the Bills in 2018. They had their worst opening day QB starter (Nate Peterman) in a very long time. Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes may have been the worst starting pair of WRs in this team's history. Arguably the worst OL in the team's history. Nate Peterman averaged 3.6 yards per attempt in 2018. What Diggs did against the Chiefs in the playoffs was even worse than the Nate Peterman offensive disaster in 2018. Let that sink in. It's not like that game was a one time thing. Diggs had a habit of not showing up in playoff games against the Chiefs. When the Bills approached him about taking a pay cut, he said he wasn't interested. At that point, the numbers made the decision very easy. Not every highly paid receiver is Stephon Diggs. Some other highly paid WRs actually produce in the playoffs. Think about the Arizona Cardinals, back when they had Kurt Warner as their QB. Not much about that team was special, except their QB, and their WR corps (Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin). Their QB + receivers were good enough to get them to the Super Bowl, and almost good enough for them to win it. It absolutely can make sense to pay big bucks to a WR, assuming you're paying the right guy.

This brings back so many bad memories. There's too many candidates from the Gregg and Dickball eras. I can't even go there. I'll go with a couple of nice fits of anger instead of a player who regularly made me mad. Nate Clements, knock the ball down. Bryce Brown, hang on to the ball. I feel like Nate, after learning how 17 different offenses work, is going to have a random season when he’s 39 where he throws 5000 yards, 48 TDs, 4 picks, and wins MVP/CPOTY.

This draft has gone similar to version 1 in the sense of what is left for the Bills. I think what this exercise has shown is that there is a better than average chance that receiver wise everyone but the top 3 and Thomas is available.
