  1. Or if NE wants to trade up into the 1st for Trash...I mean Trask!! Just make sure you stick it to 'em in the trade.
  2. If there's this many trades on the 29th, Greeny's going to lose his you-know-what!
  3. Nice job, TPS. You must've been off for Spring Break this week. 😉
  4. Has any team ever moved up 26 picks in the first round before? And if so, have they ever been heard from again? No GM would ever make this deal. Well........maybe Gettleman, if another GM bluffs him into it.
  5. WRs love money and attention, in that order. And they know they're not going to get the latter in Baltimore right now, which means they don't get the former in future contracts.
  6. His best chance to start this year just might be in Carolina...like right around week 6.
  7. This^^^^^ Last year the Bills had the cap space to afford the luxury of trading the 22nd pick to MN (which turned into Justin Jefferson at $2.4mil) for Steph Diggs at $14.2mil. That cap space is no longer. We have enough to sign our 2021 draft picks, and maybe a few more camp bodies/Cinderella prospects. But that's about it.
  8. I want to see that pinched-face, hang-dog look of Darnold's on the Jets sidelines for the next 15 years!! The fire that burns within Josh, to make himself into the best player and teammate he can possibly be, is what drives the players around him to view him as their leader, and perform to his standard. Whether or not Wilson or Fields possess it, time will tell. But Darnold definitely hasn't shown it yet, and seems destined to become the most physically gifted back-up QB in the league, where less is expected of him. Or he could stay on as the starter of the Jets, which would be fine by me.
  9. My favorite NFL stat of all time is this: The first QB to pass for 4000 yards in a season was Joe Namath, back in '67 for the Jets. And that was the last time a Jets QB exceeded the 4000 yard threshold! The streak is at 52 years, and as one who revels in the Jets' misery, I'd like it to last at least another 52. But if the greedy owners keep adding games to the regular season (and 18 is right around the corner), 4000 gets that much easier to attain for even below average QBs on below average teams.
  10. There are teams right now attempt to lowball the Texans with miniscule offers to "take Watson off their hands". I think you underestimate the power of a top level quarterback over feeble minds.
  11. Remember this? Game winning punt return (Eagles vs Giants in 2010) Coughlan showed the world his true self by berating the punter on the field. (He wasn't wrong. He just should've waited until 20 million people weren't watching!)
  12. I'd be right there with you, BBG, if he'd shown any improvement this past year. But he didn't. Still woefully inconsistent hands and below average blocking. Having said that, I think Knox could be a good TE2 for the foreseeable future. Let's see if Hollister can be an effective TE1 (with the hopes that Josh's familiarity with him gives a boost to his pass-catching effectiveness). Then draft a TE late, and let him battle it out with Becker for TE3. We need to have Diggs getting at least 10 targets a game. I'm against any move that lowers that number.
  13. I'm fine with this. We need a safety valve for Josh, if all WRs are covered + a good run and pass blocker. Anything more and targets for Diggs and Beasley start getting reduced. No thanks!
  14. Exactly! Ed needs as many snaps as possible at 3 tech. And never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever play him at 1 tech again!!!
  15. He'd have to WOW them again in the preseason, including seeing what he can do at PR and KR. Have they announced yet whether or not there'll be a preseason?
  16. All the best, Matt!! You've got a future as a QB coach in the league. And you'll never have to pay for a drink in Buffalo again. 🍺 By the way, what's your favorite charity???
  17. OJ running wild on every team in '73, when I was 7. His limbs were that of a superior species in those days. And I was hooked from then on.
  18. He's a great fit for this team and this community, in every way. And he still had it a little over a year ago, when he dominated the Bills in the playoff game! His issue is injuries. If he's smart he'll come to Buffalo, extend his career by several years (thanks to the state of the art training/rehab facilities here), and win a few championships in the process. GO BILLS!!
  19. Just so long as he's back by the playoffs. I want a rematch. Your analysis of how the game played out is spot on. But when something isn't working, whether you have the necessary personnel or not, you try something else. I would've been happy if the Bills lost badly to the Chiefs by blitzing and playing man to man, instead of doing so by playing soft. It made our coaches look like scared rabbits. That's not a good thought, going into a long offseason.
  20. Where's Mike Curtis when you need him? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdP2G7UtS9I
  21. This is not the time for semi-expensive FAs on the down side of their careers. Norman's gone, draft a CB for depth, and let Dane compete for CB2 with Levi. Dane made plays every time he was allowed in a game. He needs to get a chance at long term success.
  22. It depends. Which version of our coaches are showing up to that game? The aggressive "pedal to the metal" boys, or the shell-shocked "let's wait and see" crowd. If it's the former, we have a chance against anybody. In Big Boy football, you make your own breaks.
  23. I was hoping and praying that the other JA would fall to #9 in the 2019 draft. So spending a low #1 on him this year would be fine with me. Our facilities and training staff would whip him back into shape in no time. But the only way the Jags are doing that is if he's a major head case. And if so, I'M OUT!!!
