  1. Yep - Best back up QB in NFL history. How many stress-related infirmities did he save by his mere existence?
  2. All Gabe needed to do was to drop to the ground with a fake hammy cramp. Then the booth gets a few looks at the replay. Unless it's within 2:00 of the half or game, it doesn't cost a thing.
  3. Agree 100% - It's like staring at the sun for too long. After every "all red" game I see spots for days.
  4. No, he isn't. But at this point, I'll take a head case who can tackle over a process guy who can't. Veteran minimum, "prove it" deal. No more.
  5. I'll never complain about Star again, I promise! He's worth every penny. Does Quinnen play the 1 tech?
  6. ENOUGH with the cheap also-rans!!! We've got lots of guys who make one or two plays a game. We need consistent, reliable contributors, as long as they're at a fair price. What would it take to get Rudolph from MN? He turns 31 in 2 weeks, which is isn't that bad. Probably 4-5 productive years left. I lived in MN until a year ago, so I saw him play often. He was never that athletic, and would never outrun linebackers. But he has feather pillows for hands, and is a nice big target. Beane, make it happen!!
  7. The Patriots have lost to the Seahawks, Chiefs, Broncos and 49ers. Of those teams, the Bills have lost to the Chiefs and have yet to play the other 3. So the rougher part of the Pats schedule has been earlier than the Bills. Until the Bills start beating teams that the Pats lose to, I'm considering them as neck and neck in the division. (And let's not lose sight of the Phins, either. Tua could just make them significantly better. We'll see.)
  8. Vosean Joseph and Corey Thompson are still available. Does anybody know what happened with them? Were they cut for being malcontents, or something?
  9. I fear every QB in the league, because right now our defense is making them all look like Hall of Famers.
  10. Offer the Jets our 2032 3rd rounder, and our 2045 6th rounder. If they accept, we know that Gase is making all the decisions.
  11. I'm thinking that the problem was that he wasn't holding well enough. In this year's NFL, offensive holding is a HUGE asset, not a liability.
  12. I'm glad we have TBass. He's going to be great as soon as they give him a chance to be. But I'm wondering if we shouldn't have picked P Braden Mann at 188, instead of Bass. (Mann went to the Jets at 191). Which was the bigger need, K or P? Hauschka was signed through this year. His leg was limited, but reliable. And Bojo has been a roulette wheel for several years. Good punters are hard to find, but get one young who can boot it far, coach him up on the rest, and you have a weapon for 12-15 years.
  13. I had hopes for Davis Webb this year, after he played such a big roll in the offseason workouts. I've never seen him play (I tend to avoid pre-season games, when there are some). But he is Josh's size. Any chance for promotion to QB2 for him?
  14. We can't trade any of our guys to the Jets, can we?? In World War II Stalin sent his eldest son to the front lines, and then refused to negotiate for his release when he got captured by the Germans and put in a brutal POW camp. Are we going to be Stalin now?!?!?
  15. And don't look for much help in FA next offseason, considering the drop in the salary cap to $175mil. We're going to be losing talent, not gaining it. But luckily everybody else will be, too.
  16. Gase is still there for one reason: It gives the Jets the best chance at drafting Lawrence. Any other coach might eke out 2-3 wins, forcing the Jets to stick with hang dog Darnold.
  17. If the Bills carouse with the Covids at midfield at the end of the game, I'm going to lose my ****!!
  18. I root for all of the good NFC teams to lose, too. That way, maybe we could be facing the Giants in the Super Bowl? You never know......
  19. Just a random thought about Trevor Lawrence. We need to start rooting for him to go to the Jets. It's the spot that can do us the least amount of damage, because his skills will begin to erode the second he lands in Jersey. Any other team in the league could become a juggernaut with this kid under center, but the Jets will find a way to destroy him in 3-4 years. Gase probably won't be there, since his purpose of getting Lawrence will have been fulfilled. But then maybe he can convince the idiot Johnson boys that their demise was all Darnold's fault. Isn't it fun to watch that train wreck?!
  20. You remember that shot of Allen headed to the locker room last Sunday, shaking his left arm??? And that giant fist in your torso squeezing every organ into hamburger for the next 15 minutes??? Now picture what would happen if it had been his throwing arm!!! Enough with this contest BS!! Let the contest be for career Super Bowls!!
  21. I live in Virginia. Reddit was a Godsend, up until this year. Have yet to find a decent replacement. So I go to a local sports bar, and put the owner's kids through college.
  22. Not a chance. Square peg in a round hole, culture-wise.
  23. Snyder is waiting for everybody to forget about the whole thing, so he can go back to using the R word.
  24. I'm thrilled we have TBass. That tackle on the kickoff this past week was alternate universe to Hauschka's "Ole" attempt during the Dolphins TD return last year. He will get more and more comfortable with every passing game. In fact, I was hoping McD would let our guy try the 60 yarder after Josh's bonehead sack last week (especially since we have a punter who apparently doesn't know how to angle his kicks to avoid the end zone). How much confidence would that have given the kid?!
