  1. Reid didn't have to cheat... Three times... That we know of.......
  2. Could not care less about what anybody outside of OBD or TBD thinks about our players. We do what we do, no matter what they say.
  3. How much "training time" did any of them have last year? I believe it was all spent on Zoom calls. Cut the guy some slack. This past offseason proves that he's fighting to improve himself, and thus the team by extension. I can root for anyone who does that. I also root for Dane, because if he becomes a quality starter, it means that I was right about him after what I saw last year, and I can start thread after thread to crow about it for years to come! LOL
  4. A bit harsh, but I hear you. We need to keep our priorities straight. I hope Josh's next big endorsement is when he shouts to the camera, right after the Super Bowl is over, "I'm going to Disneyland!" (Is that still a thing?)
  5. Enough is not a concept that these guys get. If they try to take one dollar less than the most money possible in their deal, the union tears them a new one.
  6. If the league has chosen to continue with the protocols this year, then the voluntary "opt-out" option should continue, as well. If Cole isn't comfortable with this situation, he can sit out the year, same rules as last year. But let's get one thing straight. He doesn't get a Super Bowl ring.
  7. If this were a legal case, with Goodell as the judge and Jones as an attorney, Jones would be asked to recuse himself due to a conflict of interest. Why is that not happening now? Let's just win the Super Bowl. Then this frilly stuff will take care of itself.
  8. @Kwai Sanwas right. It was 168 mph. So this was an article written by George Plimpton for the April 1, 1985, issue of Sports Illustrated. https://www.si.com/mlb/2014/10/15/curious-case-sidd-finch The preface to the article (i.e. the teaser prior to the body of it) was: "He's a pitcher, part yogi and part recluse. Impressively liberated from our opulent life-style, Sidd's deciding about yoga—and his future in baseball." (HINT: Pay close attention to the first letter of each word.) Most people missed the joke, and thought the Mets had actually signed an eccentric prospect with mystical abilities. There was a huge clamor to see him pitch, so SI had to come clean and tell everybody that it was an April Fool's joke. Many thousands of uptight ninnies became irate at the thought of falling for it, and swore they were cancelling their subscriptions (back when paper magazines and subscriptions to them were a thing). I doubt many did, because SI became even bigger after that. Just a fun, wacky story us old guys might remember.
  9. Tua's life peaked on January 8, 2018, during the 2nd half of that championship game. He should've announced his retirement from football immediately after the game.
  10. Nothing to see here. Players have been angling to get out of training camp for decades. The team will levy fines for missing mandatory stuff, then rescind them when he shows up. Happens every year.
  11. Faster than Sidd Finch!!! Quick, one of my fellow geezers out there! Do you remember the details of this story, and what his fastball was clocked at??
  12. Is there some kind of contest to see who can start the most useless threads around here?
  13. I hope the hand-eye coordination with his blocking improves, too. That's been worse than the drops, IMO.
  14. Agreed. Elliott hasn't tried since before the ink was dry on that contract. And Dak gets his stats, up until the game is on the line. Then is just...kinda...doesn't happen.
  15. So take the negativity to the Sabres forum. I have zero problem with the Pegulas. On October 8, 2014, they earned about 1.4 billion lifetime passes from me when they prevented my beloved team from becoming the Toronto Rockers. Whatever they do for the rest of my days, I got their back.
  16. I'd say that the fact that the Bills are a few wheel barrows full of salary cap spending money short of affording Mack this year has more to do with it than anything else. Next year? Addison and Hughes will be gone, and Mack makes all the sense in the world. Come on home, Khalil!!
  17. If he's got proof that the coaches instructed them to work offsite...game, set and match!! But he better have something in writing. No other player is climbing out on that limb with him. Non-guaranteed contracts make cowards of us all. 😄
  18. Sorry to prove my ignorance, but can you give me some detail on this? What kind of bleeding are we talking about? External, like it thins the blood and prevents clotting? Or does it cause some risk of internal bleeding? I appreciate your knowledge in advance, BBF.
