  1. Just now?! LOL! He ain't coming here. If he was going to, it would have been done before now. This is the magic thread that continues to grow for no reason.
  2. New England will be awarded 3 compensatory draft picks for another team's infraction.
  3. He's never going to be that guy, because you can't manufacture consistency out of nowhere, and he doesn't have it. Further, running is a HUGE part of his game and he does it extremely well. Not utilizing it is like taking an elite WR who decides he will never run a route deeper than 25 yards. HUH? Josh has running skills most QBs simply do not; he needs to use them regularly. When we get the ball down near the 5 yard line, Josh needs to be running the ball EVERY SINGLE PLAY until we score. Give him the option to throw if he wants, but he should start with a run. Throw or run, he'll get into the EZ before our 4 downs run out. Of course, our OC is afraid to do this, much of the time. 👎
  4. I'm guessing most of the conversation was spent trying to make McClappy understand what icing is, or perhaps even more advanced concepts like Offside. 😂
  5. All of which add up to dog #&** compared to a newspaper for information. Having said that, the News isn't what it once was, and is probably headed for extinction. My theory is that most papers will be gone in another 10 years, with the heavyweights in various regions of the country remaining forever and doing well. The NY Times, WSJ, WAPO, LA Times, Chicago Tribune....and other big papers...are going nowhere. Regional news will probably end up being farmed out through smaller outlets online.
  6. Some of us have been asking for data, for years, supporting the armchair football expert's view that a QB who runs will be hurt all the time. Also, some of us have been saying, for years, that Josh needs to RUN with the ball, as it's the most dangerous thing he does. Josh not running is like Josh playing at 65% capability, due to injury. Let the boy run. If he breaks 3 ribs and is out for the season, that's called bad luck. He could destroy his knee being sacked, standing still in the pocket, too. Let the boy run while he is young and healthy enough to do it. The running aspect of his game will disappear with age long before his arm fails. The window isn't THAT big.
  7. Did he not say something like "he's hot as a firecracker!" last year? With literally a cracking of his voice like a 14 year old when he said "fire"? He needs to calm that stuff down. But he's eternally better than Murphy. Eventually Chris Brown will be named the new voice of the Bills. But not now.
  8. I have no idea what they are planning here, but if Tom is going to end up as a suit in a luxury box at all the Raiders games helping to work with the team behind closed doors, and if that keeps him off our TV screens discussing football, that's PERFECT.
  9. This team plays among the worst TEAM defense in the league, and it did not improve even 5% over the course of the entire season. I would have replaced the entire assistant coaching staff for that reason, especially when you consider our PK was ATROCIOUS and there is no reason for that, ever, to be the case. That's all on the assistants. Let's hope this is emphasized in training camp. I just don't think Levi (who I love) is ready to be the man in net. 6K is a bust, or close to it, and the other 2 guys should not be on the team next year. We need a bridge goalie better than what we have now but who won't get in the way, long term, of Levi. Or we can just go out and get Hellebuyck (if these rumors are true) and move on from Levi. I'm OK with that too. This team with better team defense and Helle. in net may well even get out of the first round next year. Still need to acquire a defensive top-4 D-man to play with Power, too. That's priority #1 for me, along with addressing the goalie situation.
  10. I couldn't care less about the disrespect to the guys; it's kind of a DB move to the store. Throwing other people's merchandise on the floor isn't cool. People are gonna buy those. Well, there probably aren't enough Fish fans to buy ALL of them, but some of them at least... Yeah, it's gotta be somewhere down here (I live in SE FL) note the Miami Hurricanes stuff as well. Places like Target here have all sorts of Fish, FSU, UF, Miami, and even central FL stuff all over. It's like every 2nd person in this state either went to FSU or UF. Near as I can tell, FSU is for the dumber, trashier people; U FL in Gainesville is slightly more upscale. LOL. Maybe I have that wrong.
  11. I found this, but there must be more out there. Patrick Mahomes GP: 80; JOSH ALLEN: 80 CMP: 1,981 ; 1,694 ATT: 2,997 ; 2,697 PCT: 66.1; 62.8 YDS: 24,108; 19,385 AVG: 8.0; 7.2 YDS/G: 301.4 ; 242.3 TDS: 196 ; 143 TD%: 6.5 ; 5.3 INT: 48 ; 58 INT%: 1.6 ; 2.2 SCK: 133 ; 159 SCKY: 886 ; 1,047 RATE: 105.8 ; 93.1 From STATMUSE.COM
  12. It's classic that he seems to travel with a spare Bills jersey in his car, for emergencies just like this one. 😂
  13. On what level do you envision those changes? Do you mean roster, coaching, or even HC?
  14. Years ago, an ex-girlfriend was really into cycling in a big way, and she got me hooked on following professional cycling and watching the Tour. I usually keep up with it on a hit or miss basis these days. If nothing else, it is wonderful to watch the French countryside unfold in front of you, during hours of live TV. I always love how they go out of their way to stick with the helicopter shots of anything noteworthy, like a lovely church, cathedral, palace, estate, castle, you name it. What a gorgeous country France is. Everyone of those people is doping; I think it's just accepted as how the sport is done, and no one seems to really care. They have a big purge of cyclists every now and again to maintain the illusion of legitimacy, but man, they are all cheating. A human being can't ride like that THAT many days in a row. It's absurd.
  15. Putting that sort of time, money, and effort into restoring a 1964 Dodge is kind of like putting that amount of time, money, and effort into polishing a cow turd. 🤓
  16. This is pretty good. I think it's supposed to be a Stephon Diggs post, though at no point in the thread title or post does the OP actually type that name. This gets full marks for possibly the worst thread start I've ever seen.
  17. Yep. It would be a heck of a lot more analogous to compare Josh over his first 80 games to someone like Patrick Mahomes. Anyone have the stats on that comparison?
  18. I think your assessment of the OL's improvement is very optimistic. I view the changes as Band-Aids, as I've said here many times this off-season. Will we be near the worst in the NFL again? Probably not, I do see improvement with the changes, but middle of the pack is optimistic. The Bills didn't go NEARLY far enough distributing assets to the OL as I thought they would, FOR SURE. Beane and McDermott clearly, simply, do NOT value it. Of course they are in love with their DL...which is funny, b/c I guarantee you the OL translates directly to WINS a hell of a lot more than the DL does. Oh well. Life as a Bills fan. Let's hope the OL blows me away and is the 7th best unit in the league this year. That would be FANTASTIC.
  19. Lots of patriotic Canadians responding here, huh? I know she's celebrating!
  20. Do you think they were dumb enough to do that for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th SBs? Or do you think they learned their lesson in 1991 down in Tampa? If they were doing that crap in later games, screw them! And you know, I seem to recall stories/rumors of some of them (Kelly) being out on the town in Minneapolis the night before the Redskins tore us a new one. So yeah, maybe there were that stupid.
  21. No Buffalo "homage" can possibly be better than the end of Christopher Guest's "A Mighty Wind". A former big time star folk singer is at the end of her career, and has broken up with her famous male partner. There's a scene designed to show "how low can you go?" and they show her performing an advertising jingle at an adult incontinence product trade show in.....BUFFALO, NY. She's singing with a guitar: "No need to leave them cold and damp......SURE FLOW, SURE FLOW." And then they cut away. Pure Chris Guest comic brilliance....and you know they kicked around ideas of where it was supposed to happen in the writing room....someone probably said "Flint, MI!" and then someone said "Little Rock, AK!' and then someone said, "No, Toledo, Ohio!" and then someone said, "I've got it, I've got it! Buffalo, NY!'" and they all laughed and said "THAT'S IT!"
  22. That's actually quite a lot of ESPN programming you watch! I wouldn't even THINK of turning on ESPN, for anything, other than a live sporting event I want to watch, and know is on an ESPN channel. At this time of year, F1 motor racing is a good example. I'll be watching (recorded) the Austrian GP tomorrow on ESPN. That's it. Now and again big soccer matches appear on ESPN, and they have MNF....I think that's about the extent of my ESPN viewing.
  23. I said offense needs to improve, but I wish I could have voted for 2 categories, because I also wanted to vote for better coaching, planning, and prep, which is just as important and just as lacking. BB usually isn't working these days in the post season...hire him to be bench boss only during playoff games, and tell McDermott to make his D calls and that's it. Then go out and get 1 or 2 bonafide star offensive weapons, with at least 1 guy who is almost as good or as good as Diggs, and another not far behind. It would be great if one of them was a big, heavy, fast, TE who can catch and run. Maybe the new guy will work in that department. I don't know.
  24. Adamant you hated Indian food? What kind of philistine were you?! Indian food is some of the best cuisine on Earth, bar none. And yes, there are a million great restaurants in London. I had a chicken tikka masala at a place not far from Trafalgar Square many years ago that was really good...have no idea of the name or if the place is still there.
  25. McD is so conservative and cautious by nature, I just can't imagine him giving Kincaid huge opportunity to go wild, especially early in the season. Expect him to be eased into the picture painfully slowly and him arriving late. I see this year as a regression relative to last. Hope I'm wrong.
