  1. Yeah, that's not an attractive female. On another note, I'm really glad they arrested this poor woman for that meth possession! I'm sure this will get RIGHT TO THE BOTTOM of this drug problem we have in America. You want to get rid of drugs? Stop attacking the supply side! Go after the demand side! As long as people have the kinds of problems this country presents to at least half the population, there will be drugs. Arresting this woman does nothing except aggravate her already sad life.
  2. This reminds of the madness I see some parents engage in with their kids. I'm talking birthday parties. They are all such vapid, petty people, they feel obligated to compete with all the other parents. What? You paid $5,000 for a "bounce house" installed on the front lawn, pony rides, and every 6 year old got an expensive "party gift" to take home? I'll up that! "I'm gonna spend $10,000 on my 6 year old's party, and we'll see if YOU like it! I'm gonna make you look bad!"' What the hell are these people doing? Parenting has gotten out of control in this country. As a collective nation, we've been too prosperous and soft for too long now.
  3. Exactly. He should buy a gorgeous villa on the shore of Lago di Como (what I'd do), collect Ferraris, drink good wine, hit on the local hotties lounging by the lake, and enjoy the good life. Make new friends with his neighbors and the locals who don't have a clue who the hell he is to begin with. OK, so this is Jon Gruden, the idiot redneck from Sandusky, Ohio....so probably not going to happen. Still a good plan though. This one would work for me:
  4. This guy is at least 30-40 pounds blubber beyond his true weight. I guess they want them to do that these days, but he is just so overinflated with fat...I preferred the league when OLmen were just as athletic as everyone else on the field. They might have only been 285, but it was a super strong, solid, lean,285 and they were still the biggest strongest guys on the field. Very few of these guys are TRUE 340 pound monsters, though those guys do come along now and again.
  5. Looking at a lot of these names, this is more of a list of "guys who had this number" as opposed to "best guy to have this number" with obvious exceptions.
  6. Seems like he's always on a list to be considered, but never gets in. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.
  7. You know they are all thinking "we are winning the SB now with Rodgers" and yes, a big defeat on opening night would be such a kick in the nuts to all Jets fans everywhere! I CAN'T WAIT for that game. I hope Josh plays his best game to date!
  8. Of course it's violent, but that's not really the essence of his point, is it?
  9. Hmmm. Maybe this is why no one seems to ever get a concussion or be seriously hurt when a table gets broken over their heads. Not that anyone is suggesting it's not fake, but if guys this big and strong were actually FIGHTING for real and doing the stuff they do, these guys would be crippled rather quickly. I went through a phase where I loved pro wrestling, probably around when I was 10-12 years old, then I outgrew it. I have no idea how adults watch this crap, and actually get into it. But if it's what YOU enjoy, then have fun with it!
  10. Eliminating designed runs for Josh is INSANE. You can't live in fear of him getting injured; this is football. His running is an immense part of his game; you get rid of that, you get rid of 30-40% of what Josh is. Like playing at 70% due to injury. His running in the red zone alone is hugely effective. And for the 10,000 time, would someone here please show me actual DATA that correlates QB injury with running? Seeing as most QBs are in the pocket most of the time, I would think MOST QB injuries, all time, have occurred standing around in the pocket. Just because you run doesn't mean you get killed, especially when Josh often breaks into the secondary and is MUCH bigger than the guys trying to tackle him. What if he heads for a sideline and just steps out of bounds after a nice 13 yard gain? That could be a designed run. He ain't gonna get hurt on that play.
  11. That should be pretty entertaining. I like that show no matter who it is, but I will be curious to see anything related to Rodgers. I think he's one of the biggest mysteries and storylines going into this season, league wide. I genuinely think he could take that team deep in the playoffs, or be terrible! We have to see who he is in 2023 in a Jets uniform. It's a total question mark, at least for me, right now.
  12. I could't agree with you more when you say all of the "negative" stuff that happened last year failed to impact the team's performance on the field, which is all that matters. The fact that some players may have been bummed out 5 minutes before kickoff is meaningless, if they were able to put it aside and focus once the game started. To be honest, the Damar or Tops shooting type stuff is just classic "sports fan" banter. It has nothing to do with reality. It's comparable to losing a game we should have won and then the narrative becomes "we didn't want it bad enough," or "it was a trap game, we were focusing on KC the next week!" or "we aren't tough enough, we need tougher players!" or "they weren't prepared to play!" There are a ton of these storylines sports fans love to trot out on demand. They have nothing to do with why a sports team wins or loses. It usually comes down to who is better, preparation, and luck. Our offense was broken last year going into the playoffs and it never magically fixed itself, although I was hoping it would come playoff time. It just never happened. Doesn't have a damned thing to do with Damar or the Tops shooting tragedy, or the snowstorm and game being moved out of town and so on! These guys are professionals and the best football players on Earth. When the game starts, they PLAY THEIR BEST and sometimes it doesn't work.
  13. I pretty much agree with this. This TE kid they drafted who will play slot WR looks like the most promising thing acquired this offseason; but will he get to play a ton? Will he get a ton of throws? Will he be any good? What if he turns into a dropper? My point is he's unproven, big time, as of now. He could turn into a HOFer, too. I have high hopes for him to add a big impact but remain skeptical.
  14. Fun stats about Americans and money and debt: The average American adult has $58,604 of debt. 77% of American households have at least some debt. 64% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. 40% of American households are "liquid asset poor" which means they don't have enough money saved to make ends meet if their income is suddenly interrupted. Today's average wage has the same purchasing power it did, in real terms, about 40 years ago. We grow more and more like a typical S. American country all the time; we are going to end up with 5% owning everything, and 95% owning nothing. Not the country I want to live in, nor should anyone.
  15. I don't know, $35,000 to $40,000 PER HOUR sounds pretty good to me!
  16. She shot the sheriff, but she definitely didn't shoot the deputy! Sounds like it went the other way around! Despite her looking a bit wide and maybe chunky, and the relatively unrevealing, inconclusive photo, I would have to give her a very hesitant "YES!" 😂
  17. In some of those photos she looks pretty hot, but then in the video you see how she really comes across, and she drops down several grades. Anyone who would go online and publicly offer $5K for a husband is going to be an absolute train wreck of a human. This woman is absolutely BROKEN. Having said that, she's still fairly hot and for all we know she could be a monster in bed. I've written this here many times before: a crazy chick can be a hell of a lot of fun, for about a month. I'd definitely give her a try, if I lived up to her high standards and she'd give me a date. 😂
  18. Hey, he must have one heck of a personality!
  19. Yep. Folks in that industry tend to be ambitious and move around the country in order to move up the ladder; they are very career oriented on avg. Buffalo is not a destination; it is a departure town. That's kind of true for all industries, not just communications. Just the way it is.
  20. His weird voice was definitely NOT HOF material however. I don't get caught (other than with Tasker!) in the HOF argument. For the most part, I don't care, especially with non-Bills. Having said that, my immediate reaction to the idea of Luck going to the Hall is "NO, just not quite there." I'll leave it at that.
  21. One of the better constructed sentences I've read here in quite some time. Thanks for that. 👍
  22. Agreed! Pegula has been around now long enough, with both teams, to have an idea of how he works. He can be unpredictable! He fired Darcy Regier shortly after giving him a big K extension; so that means nothing with the recent Bills' extensions. He fired Lindy Ruff when many viewed him as untouchable, though his time had come. And then, it sounds like as the result of a single meeting that perhaps got heated, just like that, he fired his HC in Rex Ryan with a game left in the season! When Pegula decides it's time for you to go, you're going to go. He has no problem pulling the trigger. How he feels about McDermott and what his patience timeline with him is, only Terry knows. I've been saying that for at least 3 years now, long before anyone else around here was even considering this. Most people here are homers and have assumed for quite a while that McDermott will lead us to a Dynasty of SB wins. I have always been a bit more cautious.
  23. This is a point I've made here several times. I am NOT one of the many here who seems to think BB stinks, now that NE is not what it was with Brady. I think it's obvious he's still the best HC of all time. And yet look at what he can do without an elite QB. Not much. That may sound like a defense of McDermott, which I don't really mean it to be. But folks who somehow assume he is an elite HC b/c he seems organized, prepared, and has everyone on the same page are mistaken. IMO he belongs in a position within the organization slightly different than "sideline game day boss". That's what he is not very good at. He should be "strategic planner and team organizer" with responsibilities that are cut out of the traditional HC position. Or something like that. HCs in the NFL now actually have about 9 job descriptions they have to do, and the game has evolved to be way too complicated for 1 guy to do all of it. The HC position should be divided into 2 if not 3 positions.
  24. Don't we all wish! The Olympics will forever be the poorer for no more USA vs. CCCP grudge matches. Oh how I hated those cheaters as a kid! They were the biggest sports villain I've ever hated. Some female Russian athlete would trot out to do the dead lift with a beard, and a body twice the size of Arnold S. No steroid abuse going on there. You know she was loaded up with everything their doctors could cook up, including horse tranquilizers! 😂
  25. This could be accurate. But then again, I have a feeling Josh is going to throw a 43 yard TD pass (or something like that) to Diggs on our opening MNF game of the season, and he will run down the field and do his little dance crap with Diggs and hug him in the end zone and walk back to the sideline with him....later the camera will show them laughing and talking on the sideline, re-living the play. And then we are all going to be saying in the game thread "Oh yeah, they really seem to hate each other!" and this will be forgotten quickly. That's my hunch!
