So apparently OJ went online and said no heart attack. Can we shut this garbage thread down now? https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/news-did-o-j-simpson-heart-attack-bills-legend-breaks-silence-viral-report

The tendency is to assume the drivers where you are are the worst. The reality is if you move around enough, you will see they are horrific everywhere in this country. Drive 1,000 miles on German Autobahns and you will NEVER want to get near an American highway again. It's a clueless, dangerous, slow, free for all.

He's a lot better than what we have had for a very long time, but he's still not what you are really looking for....which makes Beane's HUGE K with the guy a big mistake IMO. Unless they have a trick for getting out of it. I don't know the details on that. If he was "the guy" they would not have drafted Kincaid so highly, even if they are saying he will be the slot guy. How he plays out and where he fits in, and how good he is, I think remains to be determined. George Kittle just left the 49ers in free agency. I would have gotten rid of half the salary load on this team (if possible) to free up the cash to sign that guy. Beane knows how to pull off some tricks....I can't believe we didn't pursue that. Keep Von, I'll take George.

Do me a favor, call up McClappy and try to teach him this very simple concept. Actually, he has gotten BETTER with this sort of thing over TIME, but man, we have all paid for his learning curve. And in other similar areas, he's still very much in the dark. Some would agree with this (including me) a LOT of others would NOT. Very much a debatable point. PS: You are shoving a season worth of data into 1 stat; that's misleading with the Bills' offense last season IMO, in the sense that we can be such a volatile offense, and there can be such a diversity in opponent strength, that some games we pad the numbers, while in others we really struggle. To boil it all down and say "we are no. 2" sounds amazing, but misses the point that we struggled MIGHTILY in some of the biggest games of the season, and were most certainly NOT functioning as the league's second best offense.

I watched the trailer, but didn't read anything about this, nor do I know anything about this film. Simply judging the trailer, it looks like a not very good movie, highly sappy, Hollywoody, and overly preachy. What? It's about child trafficking around the world and its point is that's bad? That seems reasonable. This is yet another "fictional" Hollywood film that would likely have been MUCH BETTER as a non-fiction documentary about the subject matter. THAT I would watch. This movie I will not see, unless I stumble on it for "Free" in a few years on HBO when I'm flipping the channels and I'm bored. Lots of films fall into that category for me! PS: THIS is the true sound of freedom (TURN UP SPEAKERS):

Never heard of him and haven't bothered to read the article. DB Cooper, however, is a subject I've really dug into. Absolutely fascinating and if that TRUE story was the subject of a fictional movie, with Tom Cruise (?) playing DB Cooper, people like MYSELF would be saying "Oh come on, this isn't even close to realistic!" Absolutely fascinating story and of course, the best part is that he got away with it. I tend to find myself cheering for the criminals in these situations. I hope this guy makes it. I guess it's the underdog thing. 😂

NFL National Team Revenue Distribution
Nextmanup replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
And the true benefit of NFL ownership has nothing to do with annual income anyway. The real money to be made here is when you buy low, then sell the franchise down the road for way more than you paid for it. You are right, Pegula "overpaid" at $1.4 billion. He hasn't owned it THAT long....and now it is valued at $3.4 BILLION DOLLARS! Nevermind a few hundred million per year! That's pocket change! The dude has now made TWO BILLION DOLLARS for having the fun of getting to control an NFL football team and sit in the owners box and schmooze everyone in the league that's worth schmoozing. This is why the rich get richer....the more you have, the more you get.....FOR FREE. -
These historically oriented stats aren't really useful to make any projections in 2023 and going forward. It's all about what's happening NOW with this Bills and everyone else. A lot of those stats are from eras and situations that now don't exist. Pending Tua staying healthy, Miami can give us trouble, no doubt. We could easily split with them again, or win both, or lose both! NE: I would hope that's a double win. Jets: Total wild card: we could win 2, lose 2, or split. Have to see what that team and Rodgers are about. No one knows anything about that now. Overall, I think we'll have good record in the East this year.

Non-monetary perks against the Salary Cap.
Nextmanup replied to unbillievable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude, these players aren't flying on the same airline you are! They are flying on custom layout privately booked airliners where EVERY SEAT ON THE PLANE is first class, with reclining capability and HUGE amounts of space all around and TONS of luxury amenities/materials not found on a commercial plane. Come on man. -
The land is nice; it's the PEOPLE that are the problem. Good luck!

Good Breakdown on Bills, KC, and Cinci moving forward

I'm quite sure this has nothing to do with anything. -
Jets and Quinnen Williams agree on 4-year 96 million deal
Nextmanup replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is stupid. He's a great player, no doubt. But a guy like a DE simply DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH IMPACT on WINS AND LOSSES to make them a huge priority like this under the cap. Give me an elite QB, 2 to 3 elite weapons, and a much better than average OL and the rest of the team can be slightly above replacement level and I'll be happy. This is basically KC's formula for success. It works. It's everyone's formula for success. -
Random preseason OLine rankings <edited>
Nextmanup replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's probably maybe right. About middling. As I've been saying around here since the moves were made: they are all Band-Aids. No substantial improvement, or commitment to making it great. Compare us to the Eagles. Wow. -
I totally agree with this pearl....stolen from George Carlin. "When you're born into this world, you are given a ticket to the freak show. When you are born in America, you are given a front row seat."

No vote. All of those literally give me an upset stomach and I can't drink that ballerina piss. I literally can't fathom that MILLIONS of Americans actually drink this sort of swill--and seemingly enjoy it.

Good Breakdown on Bills, KC, and Cinci moving forward
Nextmanup replied to newcam2012's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have fallen behind both teams, and might be the 7th best team in the AFC these days. The league is far from static. It's constantly changing. Only Bills homers wouldn't acknowledge this. For the 85th time this off-season, expect a regression year in 2023 from the Bills. -
If that's close to true, the amount of action he saw last year is CRIMINAL. Chalk another up to our "outstanding" coaching staff.

If Billacheat gets fired after this year
Nextmanup replied to Prospector's topic in The Stadium Wall
BB isn't getting fired. When he chooses to leave NE, he'll be done with coaching, almost certainly. He won't be taking a coordinator position in the league ever again. If he wants to leave NE, and continue elsewhere as a HC, HELL YES we fire McDermott immediately and bring him in here assuming he would come; Pegula Krazy Kash could help a lot here. Offer him $30 million per on a 10 year deal. What the hell, it's not my money. LOL He'll get us to 6 or 7 SB appearances, and we'll win @ half of them.
