That is NOT why they aren't paid more. They are not paid more because the game has changed since 1983 and a really good WR raises your win probability much more than a really good RB. Players are generally compensated according to their impact on Wins and Losses. The day may come (this was predicted when the salary cap was invented) when ALL the money goes to the QB and elite offensive weapons, and the rest of the team will make league minimum.

For some reason, Dorsey is getting a bit of a pass here. I'm pretty sure I'm on record as saying he'll be fired at the end of this season when things don't improve and we finally catch on to the fact that we don't have time to give this guy on the job training. He's the weakest link of the entire offense. NOTE: if this has the reverse effect and we win the SB and Dorsey gets a huge K extension, all the better! I can't lose! 😂

Further Details About Gruden’s Leaked E-Mails

This is first rate horse #*@#. it doesn't even pass the smell test. He's just a redneck from Sandusky who probably grew up in a household where the N word was routinely tossed about and it shaped his views. There are MILLIONS of these people in this country. -

Finished the whole series and really enjoyed it. Thanks again to Chevy! 👍 -
*lying* around Are we allowed to use red helmets only some of the time? Or would we have to switch to them for the entire season? I know the NFL's rules are somewhat restrictive with this sort of stupid stuff. They should be allowed to wear whatever the heck they want, every game, as long as there is no color confusion with the opponent. I think fans like this sort of thing and what the hell, it adds diversity to things...and greatly multiplies the potential for merchandising sales, which I'm sure the team loves.

174 pages of nothing. And now he's playing for someone else! Let's get it to 200 pages folks! This community can do it! -
I've probably played 10 times or so in my life. I always found being out on the golf course, itself, to be very enjoyable. The landscaping end of it. The game itself always struck me as a ridiculously boring waste of time. I know a zillion people seem to love this game; I don't get it. The only thing I don't get even more, is WATCHING other people play golf on TV. I literally can't fathom why someone would do that. Funny thing is I now live in SE FL and am surrounded by golf courses, clubs, and housing communities on golf courses. For a while we lived near the 7th hole on a golf course. LOL

Giants and Barkley do not reach an agreement on a new contract
Nextmanup replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Quite true. Especially the bit about everyone around us moving forward and stacking the key positions. Historically, the Bills have almost had an obsession with running backs and a ground game, while at the same time, ignoring the QB position and being a statistical mediocrity. Odd. -
Back when House was a starter on the team, he regularly dined at a restaurant out in Amherst that my sister was waitressing at. He would come in with various other big guys on the team and they would sit down and have dinner. My sister said House's routine was to pick out an entree on the menu, and then order 2 of them for himself. 😀

Looks like she is currently partying on the Isle of Capri, which is one of the most beautiful spots on the globe. Just bought my plane ticket; I fly to Leonardo Da Vinci in Roma and then get a connecting flight to Napoli.... I'm making my move boys! 😀

Yeah right; he's an ex-college football player who didn't have the skill to get to the next level. Any idea how many classes he actually attended? Any idea of his grades? Did he graduate with a degree? Ever listen to him speak in a live interaction setting where he is not delivering off-the-shelf phrases and prepared answers? If you are suggesting he could have done anything with his intellect, I have to disagree with you. And by the way, I don't particularly like McDermott as our coach or as an individual; he's totally NOT my kind of guy. So there is probably some anti-McClappington stuff coming out in almost any of my posts concerning him. It's called bias. 😂 Anyway, if you think the collective coaching body of the NFL is a bunch of really smart guys, you're mistaken. This is one reason why BB reigns supreme over all of theme; he's actually smart. -

Don't know, but I do know that if Lamar stays healthy, Baltimore will go right back to being a problem we have to worry about, along with a bunch of other teams in the AFC. Not sure why this fanbase loves to piss on Lamar, as though he's mediocre at best. The same can be said for Tua, when healthy. He's not Mahomes or Josh, but he's far from terrible. -
Ironic that I would see your post just now, as JUST YESTERDAY, totally randomly, while driving, I thought of the flying monkeys and also the cowardly lion, both of which scare the hell out of me to this day. There are scenes where the lion is down on all fours, with his arms/hands on the ground, kind of hopping around, with his big tail sticking up in the back and I swear to God, it scares the hell out of me. The flying monkey scenes terrified me as a kid. Now all in 4K HD or whatever they've done to it!

So it was REAL? LOL. Hey, I've been to Savannah and the quaint old city center (you know, where they traded slaves and stuff) is nice...but chalk this up as reason 3,578 never to go to Georgia. -

Chad Kelly's NFL career may have been brief, and he may be a jerk, but he was the QB for my St. Joe's Marauders, so I have to stand by him. Sort of. -
The Playcallers - A podcast that you need to hear
Nextmanup replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's available at about 20 websites. I've finished the first 3 episodes now. Here's my takeaway: in another 10 years, football teams will not be coached by "traditional football guys" like McDermott. They will be coached by really smart people who 30 years ago would have gone into medicine, engineering, law, finance, whatever. Right now, there's a huge advantage to be gained by loading your team with the young smart ones and getting rid of the old ones. Or, better, keep them around for teaching fundamentals; but you don't actually need to be a "Football guy" or know how to "properly block" to scheme an offense. It's a different type of task entirely. Regarding multi-tasking, I have commented on this in a bunch of threads here and there over the last year or so. I honestly think the future will be for the traditional HC position to be broken down into 2 or 3 jobs; it's too much for 1 man the way the modern game is played. That might be a good thread topic some time. -
I'm thinking this is better suited to "off the wall," yes?

Where the Bills rank in spending for each position

Should be reversed. This is what you get when you have a DC as your HC. Having Josh at 13th, though, seems like quite a bargain! -
