Andrew Luck will be eligible for the HOF in 2024
Nextmanup replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look at the lack of logic here: NFL head coaches LOVE to say "special teams is 1/3 of the game" (which of course is idiotic and wrong) but if they think that's true, and the "game" thinks that's true...then why is it you can't allow a special teamer into the HOF? I guess the argument is he doesn't play enough or have enough impact on the game. So which is it? Are special teams important or not important? I'm not suggesting they bring 1 special teamer into the HOF every freaking year....but when you are the best of them all, all time, you should be in the HOF. -
I understand what you are saying, and last year your comments would certainly have been appropriate, but look at the year before! We humiliated NE in perhaps one of BB's worst playoff defeats (has to be NO. 1 the more I think about it) and then BEAT the Chiefs in their building to go to the AFC Championship Game....only for our coaching staff to gift the victory back to KC. Very nice of them. We have been inconsistent in the playoffs. The year we beat Baltimore and Indy we looked pretty good too, though we obviously haven't gotten far enough. This year will be a big test IMO. It's been long enough now that another single win and then OUT in the playoffs should have some people wondering if this group of coaches is going to get it done...or if their plan is working...like completely ignoring Josh's weapons, prioritizing D, and band-aiding the OL.

It's bizarre how much that guy feels a need to constantly prove/justify himself to a bunch of strangers over the internet. How has life deteriorated to this level? You talk about a man with ENORMOUS self confidence problems. I fear his dad told him every day growing up that he would amount to nothing. Einstein, have a re-think as to what you're doing. And if you aren't doing it already, see a therapist.

When it comes to true hatred there are only a few that really register on my list....I mean TRUE hatred. 1) Yankees 2) Toronto Maple Leafs 3) New England Patriots That might be it; many years ago I remember fondly absolutely HATING the Miami Dolphins. For me, that all went away probably 20 years ago. We were both just too meaningless for too long.

This guy went to the next life pretty happy, I would think. Not a bad way to go. I like that name Penelope. Attractive blonde, named Penelope, with English accent. I'd go crazy for that combo! 😘

You've answered your own dilemma. The wall is not a monument to the great guys on teams past. It is a monument to the game of football. For that reason, forget what you think of OJ; he belongs on the wall; he's already there, and should stay there. He's still the BEST BILL of all time, bar none. You can't just revise history and remove him from it because he's a psycho multi-murderer who got away with it. Get him up there in the new stadium. And deal with reality.

4 cut candidates on Bills’ roster ahead of NFL training camp
Nextmanup replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not sure how the team views Damar's status right now, or if he will be on the team in training camp as though nothing happened....but I can't see him playing on the team again. I'm sure the team will be handling this in a sensitive way. -
Submarine meant to view Titanic wreck loses contact at bottom of sea

I assume photo shopped, but man, that's in poor taste. This reminds me of a photo working around the 'net with a similar sort of sign, sitting out in front of some random business somewhere in New England. The sign reads: "Red Sox fans, 20% off. Yankees fans, F*@$ off!" Makes me crack up just typing it, though I am a Red Sox fan and despise the Yankees, generally. -
I have always noticed that the teams I hate (in various sports leagues) are the ones that have done the most damage to MY team, over the years. For this reason, as a Sabres fan, I will forever despise the Bruins, Canadiens, Flyers and others, like you can't imagine. And yes, the harmless teams I really don't care much about. It's like what did the Vancouver Canucks ever really do to us? They have been around just as long and never won the Cup either; I actually sympathize for them. It's the same with NFL--I'll forever hate anyone in our division or former division maters (Indy comes to mind), and yet I have always kind of liked a team like Seattle. There's just not a lot of bad history between us, and until very recently, Seattle never did squat. Having said all of this, I find that I do a lot more pro-cheering for my teams than I do hating of the opposition. Nowadays at my age, it takes a special sort of circumstance to really develop a sports related hatred. When I was a kid it came easy! 😂

Emphasis on the 3rd element there. The first helps tremendously too. Ha! I was just reading this and thinking "who the hell is Pete Davidson?...the grandson of the Harley-Davidson guy?" So I google search him and get his ugly tattoo ridden photo on my screen...and I say out loud "that guy?" I have unfortunately seen him on TV commercials while watching live sports. I have no idea who he is, and always wondered that when you see him peddling cell phones or whatever it is he does in the commercials.

Huh, I've always thought dragging children to adult related "vacation" things is an utter act of futility. The kids make it miserable for all the adults around them, most parents do not properly parent their children in public spaces any more, at least not in this country, and the kids, if small enough, are going to remember NOTHING of the trip. I.E., please keep them out of adult cultural point of interest destinations. Parents do crap like that for their own psyche, not the children. They think they are being a great parent and opening up experiences for their little 5 year old. Ha! It's the same reason they make their 6 years old take piano lessons, even though it's quite clear the kid isn't into it, dislikes it, has no propensity for music, and doesn't practice. But away the kid goes week after week to lessons, and it's all "for the child." LOL. It's actually for the parent, quietly getting off on the idea that he/she is raising her precious child correctly. Now if we are talking about something stupid, like driving a few states to get to a beach with an ocean and letting your little ones build sand castles, fine. They'll enjoy that.

I'm not reading this garbage thread, but I did look at this last post. Are revisionists coming along now and somehow defending OJ? Or suggesting "no depatitations?" OJ had a monster knife and he slit the frontal throat area of both of them. He is such a big, powerful guy (even in his weak old age as depicted in the court room) and he was filled with such rage, anger, and adrenaline, that he didn't just slice their throats. He drove the knife practically through their entire f-ing neck and was hitting vertebrae/spinal column at the back of it. The heads were barely attached to the necks when he was done with his handiwork. Find the transcripts or hell, watch the videos; the entire many-month trial was on TV. I watched a ton of it; I was a student back then with a bunch of free time.

Are you a pessimist by nature? Why do you assume that if we move on from McDermott we will replace him with a clown show? What if we replace him with a coach at least as organized as McDermott, but who is a much better tactician for in-game instant decision making, and we go to the SB in his first season? What will your war cry be then? How do you know we're getting Rex and not my example? Why fear the worst? I can assure you Sean McDermott is not the only guy who can get a bunch of idiot athletes together on the same page, motivated, and organized...which is what he excels at. The in game field marshaling is not for him. He's terrible at it.

Well you're right and you're wrong. It definitely is noise with yelling, that can't be argued. But unfortunately, with a certain segment of society, it definitely caught on. Actually Run DMC looked like Beethoven compared to the utter trash out there today.

One thing in our favor with Miami is the fact that Tua can't last. Then again, that playoff game we almost lost was with their 3rd stringer, so who knows. I'm concerned about the Jets; they are a total wild card right now. We have to see how dialed in Rodgers is. They can easily take the division if we are not sharp and Rodgers is focused.

Thad Brown the first to be offended by Josh

My God I'll be happy when there is SOMETHING worthwhile to discuss concerning the Buffalo Bills. Can we get this season started, say, mid August? Get rid of the pre-season entirely please. -

What don't you understand? Why they would be suspending operations? Makes sense to me. Next step will be to disappear and totally dissolve the company...the estates of these billionaires who died may have the good graces not to sue, but you never know. I smell wrongful death actions on the way. -
I still contend my greatest ever hockey performance was when I was about 26 playing in a pickup league with friends, on Thursday nights at 9:00pm, Lincoln Park in the T of T. I was drunker than a skunk. Several of us had some pops before hitting the ice. It put my mind in a different place where I was totally in the moment and like an animal...just purely reacting and not thinking for 1/2 second about anything. I was all over the ice and scored 4 goals. Figures my greatest ever hockey performance would come under these conditions.

Come on man, give me a break with the virtue signaling. I'm sure that poster is the only guy who ever publicly said he hopes OJ drops dead.

Commercial women I find attractive, Part ?????
Nextmanup replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in Off the Wall
That Fiat 500 Abarth commercial lady has been posted in this thread many times, including, I think, twice by myself! She deserves another plug; she's as sexy as it gets IMO. BTW: She's not Italian, she's actually born in Romania, but has done a modeling career in Italy. -
We need Einstein to chime in with the correct answer. He has achieved things you wouldn't believe imaginable.

I didn't realize this thread (that I started) was still going strong. What's amazing to me is that Paul-Henri Nargeolet is something of a legend in that community and has lots of experience doing this sort of thing and technical knowhow...and he STILL got in the TITAN and went down there. It just shows his weakness for what he was doing. He probably understood there were greater than normal risks, but he did it anyway, for one more dive on the Titanic. It's amazing how obsessed humans can become with a given subject matter.
