Beasley claims Dak is "best leader he ever played with by far"...
Nextmanup replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Does anyone here know anything about Beasley's personal life or what he's like as a real human being? You do? Then why would you give a rat's ass about ANYTHING he says about ANYTHING? When this guy left the league he left my mind pretty much forever. -
NFL Head Coaches who also were their teams defensive play callers:
Nextmanup replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here's the thing: most people here are sheep and worship anyone currently associated with the team like a god. Then, when a certain person leaves the team, they usually make fun of that person and sneer about how bad they were. I don't get it either. Kiko Alonso, to name one of dozens, went from highly regarded fanboy player to the butt of jokes here in about 48 hours when we traded him off the team. Rex is another great example.- 90 replies

The media building something up only to later tear it down is nothing new or unique to the Bills. I have to laugh at these media haters who apparently listen to them quite routinely, and then even create posts promoting their shows!
-
And yet you continue right on listening....and even better...talking about the show! Do you see how it works, and why he does what he does? A little?

In other news about Diggs, he's busy 'camping'
Nextmanup replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh is golfing at a country club in the LA area. I know because he, unfortunately, believe it or not, was part of the ESPN broadcast of the Canadian GP yesterday. He was on air for about 30 seconds looking tan and happy; that's where they said he was. I can confirm his knowledge of F1 racing is zero. -
To all the Fire McDermott Posters, a follow up question..
Nextmanup replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
What about our 2 safeties? You can't have KC, Reid, and Mahomes BEATEN in their own building, in the playoffs, to send you to the AFC Championship game, only to lose the game purely through inept coaching, and then conclude the problem is talent, not coaching. -
The more I think back to the Dom years, the more I think what set him apart was not physicality or athleticism, but purely mental. Concentration, focus, ability to read the ice, never making fundamental mistakes, always doing what he's supposed to be doing and stuff like that. I still say the guy is not that athletic! Maybe I'm wrong there. Easily the best goalie I've seen, but then not nearly as athletic as Fuhr or Roy, to name 2.

What the Bills need to do to take the next step
Nextmanup replied to HaldimandBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have a brutal schedule; take away Josh's running and you take away a huge part of Josh! No need to run again against weak opponents, but he needs to run for our offense to be at its best. OC needs to hugely step up his game too, assuming he can. -
I would have thought the list would have more current Bills, seeing as the team is way better than it's ever been in the 21st century. 4 guys isn't a lot.

outstanding post The OP sounds like the kind of guy who stays in a bad marriage for YEARS because he doesn't have proof he'll find another woman or that she'll be any better. Can't live that way, man. -
Yeah but what if he eats the team? I'd be concerned about that. This land whale grows in size exponentially every year.

The gun lust culture of the NFL is REALLY SCARY. 90% of these guys own and play with firearms, likely having no understanding of how to use them safely. I'm surprised we don't read MORE about NFL player idiot X shooting himself (or a loved one) by accident. NFL players + fast cars or firearms = bad news.

Is Sean McDermott our version of Doug Collins?

Depends entirely on what Rogers looks like IMO. I think he's still a question mark, despite his incredible career.

Sean Payton was just available. The coach doesn't have to be a "re-tread." You have to strike while the iron is hot. God knows which really good coach will become available this upcoming offseason b/c it didn't work as planned. Look at Doug Pederson---he's not a "retread' and he's moved around, been available in recent years. You'd rather have a decade of playoff losses with McDermott, huh? Well, to each his own, I guess. -

"Themis Matsoukas, 64, was allegedly caught in footage naked from the waist down performing the vile sex acts on his collie near bathrooms at Rothrock State Forest in Pennsylvania, according to reports." Doesn't look like the sort to screw his collie, does he?! I was thinking about splinters. You would think the act of screwing a tree wouldn't really be enjoyable. But hey, what do I know! -
Five pages of responses from BILLS FANS and no one has named Sean McDermott as their choice. I wonder if that's a problem. 🤔

I thought they got rid of that guy a long time ago.

The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
Nextmanup replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's still around. He said someone needs to sit Diggs down and straighten him out, because he can't continue to be at odds with the organization. Or words to that effect.
