Predicting Big 2023 Season for Kaiir Elam and James Cook
Nextmanup replied to RoyBatty is alive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are these improved predictions based on anything other than being a fan and wanting/hoping that they have big seasons? -
Need Sunday Ticket? Bills Televised Schedule included:

I prefer the $0.00 per game approach, also available online. If you need a link, let me know come September. -
How does the creepy bald guy with the glasses manage to avoid all these layoffs, and remain the face of the network? What photographs is he in possession of?

Text on a screen makes no sound. I hate this routine that people insist on repeating once they see someone else do it. Give us some original material, Augie! Not rehashed trash from the internet. This is so true. The guy is such a hardcore gambler. He is the kind of guy (and he has conceded as such himself, on air) who will place a bet with anyone about anything, literally for the sake of betting. Like he'll stand on a street corner waiting to cross with a friend and he'll try to get a bet going regarding the color of the next car that passes them or something like that. Just any, insignificant random thing, for the sake of gambling.

Local shops that help you pick out your outfit?
Nextmanup replied to Einstein's topic in Off the Wall
When you say "local" do you mean WNY? I thought you were out in the Pacific NW for some reason. My best advice would be to go to Toronto (don't even bother with Buffalo) where you will have all you need and more. If you want to make it simple, go to Harry Rosen's and grab whoever looks stylish and have them help you pick out a look for your speaking engagement. But it will be expensive. However, remember, as with ALL THINGS, you get what you pay for. One really nice suit is worth 10 crap suits. -
Hey, it could be the summer of 1988 (I think). Around that time (could have been '87) summer literally never came to WNY. The calendar advanced and we got into the good months. It was sunny and "nice" out, sort of, but it never really warmed up, and I recall mostly daily highs in the '60s. Eventually summer passed, and it started actually getting cold again, and I thought "here we go, another 9 months to go before we maybe get some warm weather again." These are the formative memories/years in my past which made sure I would not remain in WNY as an adult. Life is way too short.

Playoff offense is just as much an issue as defense
Nextmanup replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's all offense; people talking about defense are older guys who grew up in the '50s, '60s, '70s and '80s hearing "Defense wins championships" and they aren't smart enough to adapt their thinking to a changing world.- 132 replies

In May I was in Germany for a couple weeks. We were in Kiel, way up in the north on the Baltic Sea for a few days doing a boat ride. Some kid on a cold, gray, windy day wandering around near the harbor area was wearing a Bills baseball cap. I looked at him and said "Buffalo Bills!" with a thumbs up. He smiled and gave me a thumb's up. I really do think these fans are lurking everywhere. God only knows why! Well, at the moment, we do have a very exciting team, when we're really on. Playoff Josh 2 year ago was devastating.

Third in the league seems really, really optimistic to me right now. The Bengals are a better team than us, to name 1 team that should be ahead of us on that list. I hope it's accurate!

Why is he not revered? How about, for starters, because he sucked? He was literally afraid to throw the football, for fear of an INT....which in turn gave him a great statistic in that department (no turnovers), but you gotta throw the ball at some point! His playoff game against Jacksonville with Blake Bortles at the helm in 2018 was THE WORST QUARTERBACKED PLAYOFF GAME I HAVE EVER SEEN. We lost 10-3 in what was a HORRIFIC football game to watch. So overjoyed when we moved on from the guy. It was amazing to see how long he hung in there floating around the league though. It's just incredible how long a bad QB can exist in this league. Seemed like a nice enough guy on a personal level, but who cares about that!?

Yes, getting your soul ripped out of you 4 years in a row is BAD. That era of Bills football was magical however, and provided plenty of fun and excitement along the way. I do recall though, heading into the 2nd Cowboys SB, thinking that there's just no way we win at this point, for one reason or another. I wasn't wrong. Those SB losses were hard to swallow. They hit some fans a lot harder than others.

Hey, you got your guy. He's small though.

We're on the clock!

DE-TROY-IT on the clock at 9...4 to go.

October strikes me as a really weird and lousy month of hockey, schedule wise.

Anyone watching? Philly on the clock now at no. 7. Sabres pick 13.
