Did we do enough? I think we are getting there.
Nextmanup replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
NO, they didn't go far enough. these are more band aid fixes from Beane. For some reason, they don't value the OL but are in love with the DL. I hope they find a way to do a LOT better than I expect. -
Of course we are light on playmakers! We already knew that. And no, we didn't do nearly enough to improve this in the off-season. Hopefully it gets taken care of at some point.

Rich Stadium and all its other names delivers an honest, old fashioned experience. It's how ALL stadiums used to be. Now, if your stadium isn't a virtual shopping mall and condo complex all in one, it's regarded as "dated." My only complaint with it over the years is that there was no public area to go to to warm up at halftime on a cold day.

I refuse to believe MOST of the things on fans' long list of "stuff that went wrong last season" actually had an impact on the team. At the top of that list would be the Tops shooting on the East Side, which I'm sure had literally zero impact on the games the team played after the tragedy. Damar's situation improved very quickly and when everyone here was freaking out and wildly unstable and emotional, I was quietly pointing out that the same thing happened to a Danish soccer player and a few days later he was smiling from his hospital bed and making Youtube videos for his fans. I don't think Damar had squat to do with the playoffs. He was in good shape by then. If anything, he should have been an inspiration for team. We were straight up whipped by a better squad on both sides of the ball (Bengals) and played very iffy ball against the Fish with their 3rd string QB, winning by 3 points on home turf. The Bills were "not right" practically the last half of the season. I kept waiting for us to throw the playoff switch and go back to lights out ball. It never happened. Why exactly that is, no one outside the team is going to know.

Can't live your life in fear. There are too many overly cautious people in this country. Of course you want to be smart and alert in odd situations, but I'm sorry, I'm not some gun nut who is thinks he's about to be home invaded every second of ever day and sleeps with a gun under his pillow. Life is WAY too short to live that way, and the odds of something happening don't come CLOSE to justifying that sort of lifestyle. What did you want this girl to do singing on a stage? Be "ever vigilant" of the crowd as she dances around singing pop tunes? How many concerts have been performed in this country in the last 20 years in which the performer did NOT get hit in the head with a thrown object from the crowd? This girl is what you call really unlucky.

You can book a ride on an airplane with a gutted interior....they go way up to like 40,000 feet, and then go into a dive. For like 45 seconds or so, while in that dive, you become weightless and might as well be in space from that perspective. You can float around the plane and do somersaults, etc. Check it out! I would take space over deep sea. The ocean scares the hell out of me.

They're great! Problem is they are over in about 20 minutes. Then it's back to at least 6 months of misery.

Submarine meant to view Titanic wreck loses contact at bottom of sea

Director James Cameron is coming out now and doing a lot of news appearances all over Youtube. He's very direct and critical of how this guy went about his business. The whole thing was very much preventable. Another emerging story: the Pakistani son did NOT want to do the trip and was terrified of it...he did it to please his father. That info. comes from his aunt. That's really sad. -
Glad we have a thread for the OP's thought here. Very deep and substantive, will surely give rise to lots of stimulating conversation...

K extensions, especially with Pegula, do NOT mean they will be employed through the term of the new deal. It just means they were extended. If Pegula decides one or both have to go before end of term, they'll be gone and he'll eat the K. He did precisely that with Sabres long time GM Darcy Regier. Got a big multi-year extension a matter of months before he was fired. This is basically meaningless information if you are trying to speculate about the future.

Couldn't disagree more with your comments. First, this rumor is not close to being true. Secondly, I wouldn't consider him much of a leader at all. Quite the opposite actually. He's selfish and puts his own interests ahead of the team when he feels like it, with no concern about the disruption caused to the team. That's not a leader. Great WR though.

Oh! I just sent this information over to One Bills Drive. Hopefully this is what puts us over the top.

Many years ago, before he got as big as he is now, he was on the air at GR55 every day, or at least that's how I remember it. I would listen to him a little, not knowing much about him. After listening to pieces of 3 or 4 shows, I noticed that the guy was CONSTANTLY uttering the name "URBAN MEYER" in one context or the other. I had to laugh as I just didn't give a rat's $*$ about Urban Meyer or college football at the time, and decided I was done with the guy. It was just funny how often he said the guy's name.

I am all in favor if Miami screwing the away team the way they do...it's smart. BUT, opponents should be allowed to fire back, i.e., bring their own lightweight, fold up, awning system or what have you, just to get out of the sun. I know there are concerns about interrupting sight lines from the stands, but there has to be a way to do something better than what is currently done.

Yep, carbon fiber. -
Your post strikes me as quite a bit of whining, to be honest.

It's a shame. I feel really bad for the 18/19 year old Pakistani boy. I've read his age as being both; not sure which is true. Didn't get much of a life to experience.
