He's one of these people that Hollywood has deemed "a star" for no particular reason. There are many such people. I still don't understand what anyone ever saw in Tom Hanks, for example. He's probably as successful of a living actor as there is. Why? As someone who would have enjoyed the hell out of a well done film about Dunkirk, all I can say is the film Nolan made is terrible. Have not seen, nor do I watch, comic book movies...so maybe his Batman stuff appeals to that audience. Have not seen "Oppenheimer" but I would bet a good amount of money this film would have been much better and much more interesting had it been a straight-up, non-fiction, documentary...instead of whatever he made with actors and fictional dialogue. It's always like that with films like that.

I wish I lived in your world. because the 2023 season could not be approaching more slowly for me, particularly the more time I spend here! 😂 Regarding the defense this year: I think we will try to be much more elusive, changing things up from play to play, drive to drive, game to game, so opponents will not know what we are doing. We were unbelievably predictable last year, and our opponents told us as much in the post game interviews. Still, we didn't really change! 🤔

I can only imagine your "objective" analysis is FILLED with subjective takes and opinions that resulted in your conclusions. All of analytics is this way--and I'm a big believer in analytics. But this isn't mathematics and it's not science. Regardless, I've said many times my team would be 100% offense and replacement quality defense. Special Teams would be beyond an afterthought.

Yeah we get it! You--and tons of other folks here--are perfectly happy with failure. It's the Buffalo way! Rationalize it from now til doomsday! There's nothing wrong with getting greedy and comparing your franchise to the BEST in the league, not the WORST. I just want ONE CHAMPIONSHIP before I die. Been saying that for at least 15 years now. I'm 0 for 100+ years on that note when it comes to my Bills and Sabres combined. Just one before I die!

As per the usual, I'll be closely following USA, Italia, and Deutschland, especially as we go deep. Caught Denmark vs. China yesterday; I think my St. Joe's high school team could have soundly beaten either team. Sort of like watching paint dry. Both teams played with the structure of a bunch of 6 year olds. The better teams are fun to watch though.

I think it will go in the opposite direction. Shopping malls are becoming extinct as people learn that it is much easier/efficient to shop online. I have a next door neighbor that--I swear--has something delivered to her house almost every day. It's usually Amazon Prime, but UPS, Fed Ex, you name it. I get--and mail--packages through Ebay with USPS all the time. The USPS probably won't be sending "letters" from one person to another in the future, but packages, and also all the direct mail advertising crap we all get. People have been bitching about the USPS since the beginning of time. I find them to do a pretty remarkable job. They get stuff from here to there in a few days, in a huge country, for not that much money.

The funny thing is that I thought you were being kind to the Bills because we're all Bills fans!! With the exception of the division results...I might put us at 4-2 there. But yes, we could easily end up with a record right around what you mention. Or we could be 4 wins better than that! Should be an interesting season. I just hope we win on opening Monday night; a loss there (entirely possible depending on tons of variables) puts the season on the wrong foot immediately.

This is yet another example where diet and nutrition, in the NFL, is still mired in the dark ages relative to other major sports in the year 2023! I literally can't fathom that these teams don't have a team of dietitians who work with every single player, develop a meal plan for that person, and then try to make sure they stay on that plan. As far as I know, they are serving cheeseburgers and fries at the "cafeteria" at OBD. 😂

Americans thrive on this sort of stuff; the best part is when they wash it down with typical American big brewery swill... And you wonder why they are all 45 pounds overweight and have tons of medical issues. You are what you eat! At least that's what they used to say.

I remember when we were rising to power prior to the SB years....around 1988....we had Art Still as a DE on the line. I recall fellow players saying things like "Art is a free spirit" and what not, and they mentioned that Art slept at night on the floor, in a single room, with his wife and like 7 children. Anyone else remember this stuff? 🤔

Nothing mysterious about the loss to the Bengals....they are a straight up better team on both sides of the ball and they got better since last year. No one is questioning #3. The coaching staff has been praised by the national media for a period of years. Not sure it's fair to say they have all turned on them now, though there are a few names out there that have been outspoken. I agree with #2.
