  1. Nah. We were outclassed by a substantially better team. You can slice and dice how you want, we would lose to that team 5 out of 5 times.
  2. It's quite common in the NHL for many players to do this while sitting on the bench, getting ready for the game to start. You see it all the time. They are often passing the smelling salts around for sniffing.
  3. I used to listen to his nationally syndicated radio show as well, when he was doing it out of Washington, DC. I would stay up late and listen until 1 or 2am, whenever it ended...then be tired the next day. He often had authors on and I enjoyed listening to them the most I think.
  4. I'm a gigantic Lynch and Twin Peaks fan. It has to be the in the top 2 or 3 TV shows ever aired on network TV in America, along with "Northern Exposure" and a few others. Top shelf entertainment! The second season was a bit of a disaster and then they ended it prematurely. The show is really all about Season 1, which is utterly fantastic. Twin Peaks is a great example of how important good music can be to a movie or TV show. I can't imagine Blade Runner without Vangelis' masterpiece soundtrack, for example. The music in Twin Peaks is just fantastic. Fans of the show must watch this video, if you haven't done so already! Thanks for mentioning this. I will investigate it tonight if I can.
  5. The loss is actually getting harder to take the more it sinks in. KC beat us because they are a better team up and down the roster on both sides of the ball. They also have a better QB. We were outclassed. If that game is replayed 4 more times, we lose 4 more times. It is going to be hard to tweak what we have now to end up better than KC. I'm afraid this is their time and it's going to stay that way for a while. Improving our team while not getting any worse at any position is going to be a tough challenge for Beane! The game was similar to the Skins SB in Minneapolis in that we were outclassed in both games.
  6. Go after the one that offers the best value for money. I would hate to see them burn assets on a RB.
  7. He also completely owns the Buffalo Bills.
  8. Edmunds has demonstrated quite clearly that his football is IQ is close to zero. I'd rather move on from him entirely than stick him out on the outside. At a certain point "potential" is only worth so much. Maybe we can con someone into giving us something of quality in a trade. Beane's a clever guy. Disagree on that; Edmunds has a large set of data to draw upon now. Anyone forming an opinion on anyone after a single game isn't doing a very good job evaluating.
  9. I would be surprised--and disappointed--if John Brown and his salary (@ $7 million) isn't dumped this offseason. He can be improved, and he couldn't stay on the roster. Yeah, there's really no such thing as "learning to win". Improving the team with better players, players playing better, and coaches doing better preparation and planning? Those are real things.
  10. I was calling for this in the game thread b/c Josh is usually deadly around the 5 yard line or in closer. Josh probably should have run the ball a lot more in the game in general given what KC was doing on defense. Not the best called game from our staff.
  11. I didn't notice anything unusual during the game. Just loaded up the game in the DVR and got some good super closeups of Josh's face. It looks perfectly normal to me. He even had nice rosy cheeks.
  12. The key to the whole puzzle, as always, is Josh Allen. If he can perform at his 2020 level for the rest of his career, we will be in the mix year in and year out for a long time. Look at the QBs left standing at the final 4 stage....yet again. Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes....and Josh! How long have Brady and Rodgers been good QBs in this league? FOREVER? How about Mahomes? He'll be in the discussion FOREVER too. He's still young. If Josh can hang with names like that year in and year out, every year for a long time is going to be really interesting for us Bills fans.
  13. Luckily, a really good team can beat anyone, and a lot of what you need to beat NE applies to KC as well. I still think NE will be back in the mix sooner than most Bills fans think. BB's QB solution this year didn't work, but he'll be trying to fix it again next year. A lot of opt-out talent will be back on his team next year, too.
  14. No way should an edge rusher be our #1 off-season need/goal. It needs fixing but not that highly. The passing game needs improving, everywhere where we can improve it. Brown needs to be upgraded, we need a dynamic play making TE (that's #1 offseason goal for me), and I would improve the OL wherever we can.
  15. First off, anyone watching the game on TV last night has no idea what the receivers were doing, except on a play or 2 when they showed an all-22 viewing angle. Secondly, Beasley, Brown, and probably Diggs too were playing hurt/dinged up. That's why they couldn't get that last little bit of separation as normal. Or at least a part of the reason why. I do agree the refs had a loose approach to penalty calling in both championship games, but I don't see it as a failure of the coaching staff that we didn't "adjust" to it somehow. The coaching staff needed to adjust to what KC was doing! Not the refs.
  16. Nah. Our passing game is what got us to the KC game last night and it completely disappeared, as it did in the 2 playoff games before last night! That's why we lost. It's not as good as it could be. Needs work. Diggs and Beasley are 2 great pieces to build on; we need another 2 or so to add. A speed guy to replace Brown and a dynamic TE. I do agree that Singletary needs to be upgraded, but that shouldn't be hard to do, nor would I spend much in the way of assets to get his replacement.
  17. Hopefully they don't dedicate much in the way of resources to a "running game." Run plays, except in very specific situations, are just a wasted down.
  18. No one scheduling games is thinking about the long time rivalry between Miami and Buffalo. They will try to open the season next year with a big rematch of some type. Could involve the Bills. I do think we'll get a bunch of national games, which kind of sucks in a way. I didn't enjoy all the odd game days and start times this year. Sunday at 1:00pm just feels right.
  19. One idea to a sentence. One main thought to a paragraph.
  20. The same people telling you to shut up in this thread are likely also the people who picked the Bills to win by several scores. So keep that in mind.
  21. I thought GB/TB was a pretty darned entertaining game. Way better than ours, which would have been a lousy game to watch for any 3rd party fan.
  22. I think you are overanalyzing it to a degree. It is more likely and realistic to simply suggest Reid is a superior coach. I don't think "fear" or "daddy issues" need to figure into it. McDermott never has been, and is probably never going to be, a brilliant in-game tactician or field marshall type who will make clever calls during the game. Having said that, our coaching staff in general got a LOT smarter this year than ever before. Mostly in terms of going for it on 4th down when they should have. They regressed away from that last night, unfortunately.
