  1. Luckily, McDermott, Beane, and the people around them seem to have learned, some time in the last year or so, that what you outline is not how you win football games in the NFL in the 21st century. I have every faith they will continue to focus on an improved, pass-heavy offense. Our problem was not that the run game was bad, it was that the passing game wasn't good enough. How much running did KC do against us in the championship game? Not much, right? Why didn't that hurt THEM?
  2. You can't look at a list of teams, think about them in terms of what kind of season they just had, and conclude how we will do against them next year. It doesn't work that way. Everyone will be different and we won't know who is good, bad, and mediocre until the season unfolds Just like every year.
  3. You write this as if to seemingly suggest there is a shortage of fools in this country. 😂
  4. She was married to Miles Davis for a while!
  5. His body is broken down and I don't know that he would be worth the cost.
  6. The over/under is at 56.5 right now. I think I would feel comfortable betting the over more so than picking the Chiefs to win at -3. I think the score will be high. Then again, I don't gamble.
  7. Picking as low as we will, I would like to see us trading down a lot and acquiring more picks. This is a good draft to do it in with us picking so late anyway in all the rounds. To the OP: Of course we go for best player available, to a degree, but we better not take a RB with our first pick...or 2nd....
  8. Top 30 QB is more valuable than any RB!
  9. Suggested rest, or lack thereof, is the difference between these two programs is foolish.
  10. Colin Kaepernick RG III Carson Wentz Lamar Jackson (?) Ridin' high in April, shot down in May, that's life.
  11. My overriding objective going into the game will be to see Tom Brady hit and injured, as it has been every time he has played for the last 15-20 years. He hardly ever gets touched, which has been frustrating.
  12. His performance + salary + inability to stay healthy = cutting him IMO. We'll see.
  13. The NFL does NOT work like this: A beats B C beats A C must be better than B.
  14. If you end up forward of where you were to begin with, it's all good.
  15. On a more serious note, you comments remind that sometimes you do NOT have to beat the best to be the best. It is entirely possible that Cleveland could have beaten KC given Mahomes' exit from the game in the 3rd quarter...and then we Bills fans would very likely be talking about the SB, and we wouldn't be talking about how we must totally revamp our lineup to be able to take down KC in a head-to-head showdown next year. It would be great if another team could emerge in the AFC who somehow develops a knack for matching up very well against KC...let them do our dirty business for us...and then we can focus on that team next. Works for me; as does a season ending injury to Mahomes next year, should he happen to get one. It's not a given that our road to the SB goes through KC next year.
  16. I thought Watson had trade restriction language in his K, and would need to agree to go to Detroit, which he likely wouldn't do. The Miami connection became public b/c Watson's agent said up front that Watson would be willing to go to Miami. At least that is how I understood the situation
  17. If it is generally agreed that Covid has adversely impacted pretty much all the teams in the league in the same way, and if we can agree that this is a force majeure type of situation likely not to be repeated....then why not do something like this? A few teams who are in great cap situations might object, but I would think most would be in support of such a measure. You are basically decreasing the punitive cap aspect the pandemic has imposed on most of the teams in the league. Why should that be a bad thing?
  18. I have to say, the black combined with the red and blue accents totally clashes. Then you have the random splattering of patches on the back that looks like an 8 year old laid the jacket out as part of their school art project. You can do better, and you can do it yourself. The basic type of jacket this thing is based on (the old school '50s Potsie type jacket from Happy Days) is available all over the place. Get something in generic but Bills colors. Sew an old school grazing bison patch on the breast....skip the crappy patches all over the back, especially the "mafia" patch which is horrible... Keep the color scheme consistent with the Bills colors and so that all the colors talk to each other. Black and red and blue does not work! You could get something very similar to the flavor of this, only better, for cheaper. And you would have a one-off custom jacket when you are done, and making it would be fun! And that's my 2 cents on this hideous Bills jacket! LOL 😬
  19. This makes as much sense as anything.
  20. The same people attacking Doug Whaley in this thread would have endlessly defended and supported any decision he would have made if he were still the GM of the Bills. A certain % of the people here have this gang warfare territory type thing going on, where nothing bad can be said of current Bills employees, ever. Once they leave, they immediately transition into material for criticism. Look at how this board viewed EJ, Tyrod, Kiko Alonso, and Sammy Watkins to name a few, both while on the roster and after they left it. Night and day support followed by joking and disrespect. It's odd.
  21. Are you kidding? My hated for Tom Brady runs deep. As has been the case for @ the last 20 years, I will not only be cheering for Brady to lose, I will be cheering for him to be hit. He always seems to avoid the big hit; maybe his age will catch up to him in that regard in this game! There's always hope!
  22. Beane's comments about Milano "earning the right to test the market" and that the Bills "would like to bring him back" sounds to me like they are planning on him not being here next year.
  23. Improve our passing attack and stop opponents' ability to pass. That's it! Brown must be upgraded; we need a dangerous TE running/catching threat; an elite edge rusher, another solid cover corner. I think some of our OL can be upgraded on the cheap too.
  24. Just finished the 4th part of "The Ripper". It was enjoyable enough to binge watch all the way through, but it was kind of slow and plodding at times. Still good though! The insights about the ineptness/institutionalized misogyney of the police force were more interesting than the crime aspect of the story.
