  1. Put the game in simulation mode. Set the clock to 15 minutes and the play clock to 13 seconds. Watch in spectator mode. Then tell me they have the Bills figured out. Not. Even. Close.
  2. Marlon the magician to Frank Lewis FTW!
  3. Manny Martin - I met him and his mother in law. He bought my wife and I some Bills gear. My stepson still wears the ballcap he gave me when he's working in Manila. He had 2 picks against Dallas in a home game. I remember him well. I hope he's doing ok. He must be pushing 80 yrs old by now.
  4. The Broncos spent a lot more on their OL than we did. Ben Powers and Mike McGlinchey will be starting (obviously). We didn't have enough cap space to do what we needed. Other than Dawkins, our OL is still very suspect. I do think Torrence will be good though.
  5. I love the Torrence addition. I think adding Edwards was a sneaky good move, but not a great one. I think signing McGovern for so long and so much was a terrible move that will set us back. We still need a starting caliber RT and McGovern needs an upgrade. We also are 2 WR's short of a solid starting 3. Also, everyone assumes Cook will be great. I'd like him to achieve mediocrity at least before I join that lovefest. I'm not saying it would easy to solve all those problems, but the answer is still no. We didn't do enough. We'll be a good team this year, but I don't see a deep playoff run. We may not even win the AFCE.
  6. I wear Bills gear in Manila, but my stepson keeps stealing my ball caps. It's OK though. I don't mind as long as he wears them.
  7. This is what happens when you make gambling on the games legal. The NFL has only itself to blame.
  8. It took Andt Teid a long time. He got fired first.
  9. He's watching Nick Wright who doesn't even try to hide his bias. His hate for Buffalo is unique -- It's that bad.
  10. I didn't think Josh was ever going to be great. Clearly I was wrong about him. He still needs to greatly reduce the turnovers and learn to cradle the ball when he runs, but other than that, he checks all the boxes. I hope he can start winning SB's too.
  11. Great question OP. Philly fired Reid because he couldn't win a SB. Last February Eagles fans watched as their former 'can't win the big one' coach outcoached them to win the big one. McDermott isn't the problem. No one is perfect yet everyone working in the Bills organisation has a role to play and must perform at a high level if we are to win a Lombardi Trophy. There are 31 other teams after the same prize. I think that if Josh can drop his fumbles and picks by 75%, that would do more than firing a great HC. Maybe guys like Gabe, Kaiir, Brown, Oliver and McGovern will have breakout years. That might do the trick. Maybe the injury bug will go easier on us than it did last year. Maybe our scouts helped Beane put together a great draft and this year's rookie class will be great. I just don't see McDermott as the problem.
  12. Controversy drives ratings. Like they say, all publicity is good publicity.
  13. Grow up Stephon. You just got handed a boatload of money and you're acting like a child. I'm sick of your whining already. Don't bother posting about how much you love and respect Bills Mafia either. We don't want to hear it. We want you to be a man and do your job.

  15. I cheer for the Bills. Period.
  16. Bottom line: If Diggs goes down, we're in really bad shape. Hopefully Gabe has a good year, but none of the other WR's on this roster are starting caliber. We'd be playing with a bunch of backups. That won't work if we're trying to win a SB. As it stands now, other teams will still double up on Diggs all day and we currently have no answer. We need DHop or a trade for a good WR.
  17. We see an article about a player with a big head shooting his mouth off or getting in trouble and we forget all the dumb stuff we did at that age. Maybe we think that many professional athletes are spoiled, but the truth is that most of them are high character guys who worked hard to get where they are. It's probably not as difficult as you might think to find guys that fit our culture and want to come here because they've heard about it.
  18. High ticket prices means empty seats. More and more people are having trouble making ends meet. I've watched living standards decline since the 80's and the economy no shown no sign of turning around during that time regardless of who is in the WH. It's hard to justify buying football tickets if it means you can't afford to take your child to the doctor.

If we were, we'd be offering Hopkins whatever it took. Between the additions of Kincaid (as much a TE as Von is a LB), Harty, Sherfield, and Shorter and what we already had in Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, and Khalil Shakir - WR is only a "need" for fans who feel Gabe Davis shouldn't be on the team and require a depth chart filled with "I've heard of 'em!" players to be satisfied. Whether or not anyone feels comfortable with how the position has been addressed - Beane does and none of those guys are going anywhere. ___________________ I have to disagree with you on one point. After Diggs, the talent level in our WR room takes a HUGE drop. If Diggs were to go down, other teams would find far more success shutting us down. We are a WR needy team for sure.
  20. They shouldn't allow gambling on the games at all. This was just the inevitable result of that decision.
  21. My money is on the Giants.
  22. I like Murph. Hope he makes a complete and speedy recovery.
  23. 1 minute ago, Sestak4ever said: This is a good signing. We have three non-mobile quarterbacks in our division which we face 2 times each during the year. Floyd on one side and Von on the other? Good luck! ------- Rousseau is already a significantlybetter LDE than Floyd, but Floyd is a better edge rusher. I don't see Floyd taking many snaps away from Rousseau.
  24. And Von is returning and several columnists and former players have Rousseau tagged for another big jump in 2023... Von, Gregory, Leonard, Boogie, AJE, Shaq. That's pretty impressive. They aren't all superstars, but there are no slouches in this group. Also, I don't think Basham is the odd man out. Personally I think he has the edge over Epenesa. Has the edge. Get it? OK bad joke. Sorry. Now for Brown, Davis, Williams (or Bernard) and Shakir to have big seasons and we literally are average or better at every position.
  25. The more I think about it, the more I realize that we need to make this move if we're serious about winning the SB this year. Right now if Diggs goes down, our WR corps is as weak as any in the NFL. Even if Diggs is healthy, defenses will gang up on him to take him out. With Hopkins, they can't overcommit to either of our outside WR's and we have no one behind Diggs that defenses really need to worry about. Our TE's are good, but they won't be forcing the Safeties to play back. I know DHop isn't fast either, but he never was and look how successful he's been. I was undecided at first, but as soon as I asked myself 'What if Diggs has to sit out a few games and can only get back to 90% this year?' I realized that we really need DHop. We'd still be a good team without him, but a SB would be out of the question.
