  1. $65 million dead cap space says stick with the plan and draft a WR next year. Interior OL and Edge are also high priorities. We want to sign youth, not guys that are starting to fade. Let's be honest. That dead cap space means this is not our year. Stick to the plan.
  2. Given the success of our youngest players and new coordinators, I genuinely feel we should be ranked much higher. I can't say where exactly, but several spots higher.
  3. I can see us adding a speed demon in the draft, but not another big guy like Keon and Mack. Add someone who gives us a different skillset -- Aguy that can stretch a defense and keep Safeties back.
  4. I wonder if they'll trade Milano? I know he's great, but he's injury prone. If we could trade him for a 2nd rounder and a day 3 pick or a 33-43, I'd do it.
  5. It really depends on how the simulation runs and how accurate the input datd is. Go look at the Bills' Madden ratings and you'll see what I mean. There's a blatantly obvious anti-Bills bias at EA Sports. I played the Bills and Jags (on Madden) using my own simulation method several times and the Jags were beating us handily on the regular. Forget the simulations. Garbage in - Garbage out.
  6. I also think there's a learning curve for the coaches and the personnel department. It feels like they are also getting better at their jobs. Beane and his scouts, McDermott, Babich and Brady are testaments to this growth as well. I just wonder how long we can hold onto Babich and Brady before some other team snatches them up.
  7. PFF gave him the highest grade for the MNF game of all Bills. Others with high grades include Kaair Elam, Dorian Williams, Greg Rousseau, Josh Allen, Dalton Kincaid, Jamarcus Ingram, Kalil Shakir, Alec Anderson and Ray Davis. Notice anything unusual about that list? It is replete with rookies and depth players. The future looks bright folks. Add another great, unselfish WR, a Safety, a Guard to compete with Anderson, Torrance and Edwards as well as another stud 1-Tech and we have the best roster in the NFL top to bottom (If we don't already). With our draft capital and Beane's hot hand, that seems like an easy lay-up.
  8. I know we are currently saddled with $64 million in deadcap money (2nd in the NFL), but how do we look for next year? I'm sure things will change over time, but how do things look at present? Will we have money to spend in 2025? While we're at it, what draft picks do we possess for next Spring?
  9. He's going to get plenty of snaps. I expect to see real growth from month to month.
  10. OL, Edge, WR, S, PK, P in no particular order. We need to see how our youngest players develop.
  11. Sorry, but he is not one of the top RT's in the NFL. His run blocking is passable and his pass protection sucks. He's average at best. Beane made a big mistake signing Lotulelei to a long term contract. This is his 2nd big mistake. I don't like this move at all.
  12. We already did last year. It's just that the national media didn't notice. Check the ridiculously low player ratings for Kincaid and Shakir in Madden 25 and you'll see what I mean.
  13. Forget the first 2 days for the moment. Can you recall any team having a better day 3 or 4 (UDFAs and invites) than Beane put together this year? Granted, it's too soon to know the final results, but I think several of these guys fron Davis to Andreesson have a real shot at becoming excellent starters. On top of that, we've got very good draft capital for next year and we will have plenty of FA money to spend. To me, when you say the Bills' window is closed, what you're really saying is that you have no faith in Beane. Sure he's had some misses, but he's had far more hits. What do you think?
  14. As a group, I liked the Vikings' Purple People Eaters. Others include Dick Butkus and Joe Namath. On the Bills, Robert James and Kyle Williams. Also gotta give props to Brady. I know a lot of Bills fans hated on him, but he was the GOAT. Respect.
  15. Edge rusher is the most important position on a football team after QB.
  16. TV. I live in Texas. It's too far to drive.
  17. He's an ok run blocker and a poor pass protector. I hope we prioritize the RT when his rookie contract expires. We would be better off to move on. We can do much better.
  18. 1. Edge (if Von can't do it any more) 2. WR (if Keon isn't a #1) 3. OL I love watching a dominant OL. I'm not saying our OL is the worst, but I think Josh's mobility has as much or more to do with our low sack numbers as the blocking. Remember how much better our OL looked with Flutie under C rather than Rob Johnson? Also, I may be alone on this, but I really enjoy watching a great run game. It's so demoralizing to a defense when they get pounded all day and they have no answer. I'm guessing that Beane trades up nexr draft to snag a potentially elite Edge rusher. Just a hunch.
  19. Wow! I know these things happen, but it's sad all the same. His career was just getting underway.
  20. Lofton, hands down. I wonder about some of those old timers, though. I remember Briscoe - Lewis. Dubenion, Bass, Chandler. I wonder how they would have fared with today's reciever-friendly rules. It's like they were playing with one hand tied behind their back. Crackback blocks, clothesline tackles, headslaps, etc. It's such a different game today.
  21. I think Milano should be on that list, but I don't think Ed Oliver is a top 100 caliber player. He's OK but nowhere near elite. Maybe Taron Johnson should be there too.
  22. Time will tell. We know he has the ability because he's done it before . Maybe he realizes this is his last shot and the light has come on. I don't know what to expect, but I'd love to see a very motivated Chase Claypool. Let's hope for the best.
  23. OT and 1-Tech depth. I'm not sure if we are going to get a big year from Von either. I wouldn't mind more competition at CB and both Rapp and Edwards are average NFL safeties. Bishop is a rookie as is Coleman. I'm not saying our rookies aren't going to be good, but how soon? I guess we'll see how things progress this Summer. Injury (Knock on wood) may force our hand. Our defense has been decimated by injuries lately. I'm of the opinion that we could have won the SB had Von, Milano and White been 100% or close to it. 3 points we got bounced by. Those 3 could easily made that difference and more. I guess what I really want is a difference maker rather than several depth caliber guys.
  24. I remember Tra'Davious was kinda grabby his rookie year. Kaiir just needs to trust in his ability to recover if he makes a false step. His speed and acccelaration are up to the task. He also needs quicker reaction time and some ability to anticipate for things like jumping routes when we blitz, etc. I too am waiting for the game to slow down for him.
  25. Feel free to wait as long as you need. We can wait. Seriously though, why wait? Everybody knows it's just a semi-educated guess at this point. I promise I won't crucify you if you guess wrong. Go on.
