Realistically, who would you like to see us get in the first round? Do you want to trade up or back? My early favorites are Jack Sawyer and Kenneth Grant.
-
Philly's entire DL was the difference. Giving the MVP to Hurts was a slap in the face to the 4 guys that dominated that game from the start.
-
Agreed, but 1-Tech and Edge first. Then add speed at boudary receiver. A dominating DL will put us over the top. Allen >> Hurts, but we have no elite D linemen.
-
No. Just... no.

Thanks for saying it, but I would add that this team vastly over performed. The defense was a train wreck and had they not had so many takeaways, we would have seen it more clearly. The rookie class seemed to fade as the year went on. All you need to know is that we were $25 million under the cap due to dead cap space. Last year was our year, but too many all pro talents were laid up or not ready to contribute. Let's replay that division game vs KC with Von, Trae, Milano and TB at full strength and we'd have a very different outcome. I would actually commend Beane and McDermott for getting this much out a roster all full of holes. I don't think we can fill all those holes in one off-season either.

If Allen asks for a new staff he should get it.

Go back to sleep. -
It's a strong need, but our defense isn't very good. I'm thinking DL. We need to get home more often and play the run better.

After missing several weeks during preseason and camp with a shoulder injury during his rookie season? Try again.

At what point do we start blaming Beane ?
GreggTX replied to TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th's topic in The Stadium Wall
We don't, not if we have any common sense. He's not responsible for Diggd' temer tantrums and childish actions. He's not responsible for all the injuries on the defense last year and the year before when a healthier defense could have taken us to the Lombardi Trophy. I'm frankly amazed we got as far as we did this season. Blame whoever you want to, but I think it's extremely foolish to blame one of the best GM's in the game. Ask why we ran that tush push when it clearly wasn't working. KC sent their biggest guys to that same point while another dove behind them and went down on all 4's to anchor them so they couldn't be pushed backwards. Brady never figured that out. He just kept running the same play over and over. Ask why Kincaid dropped that pass on 4th and 5. -
Von Miller needs 1 sack for $1.5 million

Only 2 Bills? What? -
I love that Farnold was selected after the Jets gave up on him and brought Rodgers in.

Cook. End of list unless there's an OL that deserves mention like Dion.

All you need to know: $25,000,000 could buy a lot of defensive talent. This is where it shows up. -
No one is talking about... Javon Solomon
GreggTX replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, he's going to get a lot more snaps now with Toohill gone. I'm excited too. The playoffs are looming and they wouldn't let an experienced veteran go if they didn't see real promise in the rookie. I mean, all he did was make 33 sacks at Troy. Not too shabby. And for the record, Von is playing well. He may not be what he was 10 years ago, but who is? -
They're very average. Rousseau is the only really good starter.
-
Would you sign up right now for a Buffalo at Kansas City AFCCG?

As long as we don't have to play the Ravens again. -
McD will be the scapegoat to hide the real issue this week
GreggTX replied to Cray51's topic in The Stadium Wall
We need to make a serious attempt to upgrade in the trenches. We are too soft. I know we play nickel and light boxes, but Jones only makes an occasional play. Oliver might as well stay on the bench for all he contributes. Von just doesn't have much gas left in the tank any more. Epenesa is worthless. At least Rousseau is pretty good. So 3 of our 4 starters on the DL need BIG upgrades. We need serious competition at both Guard spots as well. Neither Torrence nor Edwards are even average. We've got to get tougher in the trenches. -
12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams 2nd half game Thread

Douglas is having a really bad game. Bedford isn't playing much better. The offense is making a few plays, but this looks hopeless. O line can't open any holes for the run, but we're too far behind to worry about that. No pass rush either. I think Edge and DT have to be top priorities in the off-season. I think we should trade Oliver this off-season. He's been invisible all year. -
These 2 were given the highest grades for the Bills for their week 13 performances. I was very wrong about Brown. I thought he'd never amount to much and I'm very happy he's proven me wrong. Knox has made the temporary loss of Dalton Kincaid acceptable and appears to be due for more snaps. I look for Knox to be a big factor come playoff time. I also look forward to Brown receiving much more recognition. I guess Beane knew what he was doing when he extended him. Brandon Beane is my favorite Bill. He's had a few misses, but far more home runs -- even on day 3 of the draft he's coming up with gems. When people talk about all the talent on this team, they mistakenly leave his name out of the conversation. We just unloaded a bunch of talented players and we're better than ever. Just think about that. Who else could have pulled that off?
-
In any case, these are the 2 best teams in the NFL right now.
-
Here's my list of Bills that deserve the nod. Offense: Josh Allen James Cook Deion Dawkins Spencer Brown Khalil Shakir Defense: Greg Rousseau Christian Bedford Terrell Bernard Taron Johnson (forgot!) Not on my list: Ed Oliver, Matt Milano, Amari Cooper I think Oliver isn't having a very good year. Milano is great, but he's missed too much time to qualify. Transferring to a new team has not helped Amari, but he's still good. I just think there are better WRs based on this year's numbers. I do give him a lot of credit for playing hurt though. So who are your probowl caliber studs?
-
If they don't resign Cooper, that's a huge need. Same with Douglas and boundary CB's, but maybe we can live with Elam. I'm banking on Bishop, so I won't say Safety. I say continue working on the DL and IOL. Edge, 1 Tech and competition at the Guard spots are all valid targets. I'm not sure if we can continue relying on Von. Solomon shows promise, but he's still a question mark. Rousseau is now elite, but some don't seem to recognize that. I'll just add that McDermott's staff is getting better at coaching guys up. This group of coaches is the best he's had to date.
