  1. Given his resume, age and production last season I have to think he’s chasing a ring. Be the perfect way to go out for him. I don’t think he’ll be chasing the best money available. With that said obviously he’s a perfect fit for this team and I am 100% sure they’ll kick the tires and gauge his interest and bring him in if he’s willing
  2. I think his head coaching days are over. His teams couldn’t back up his mouth. Was he ever that good? He coached a dominant defense in Baltimore, had hall of fame players in Ray Lewis and Ed reed.. Then did ok with the jets bringing in some raven guys like Bart Scott but none of his teams were that great defensively definitely not raven good. Schawartz had this buffalo defense as dominant as I’ve seen in a long time. Rush 4 and had pressure every friggen down then Rex comes and they couldn’t stop anyone. Hes similar to Kap and Tebow, bringing him in isn’t worth the PR headaches and attention it would bring. I don’t even know if he could land a coordinator gig in the pros anymore.
  3. All those numbers don’t mean much until Saturday. His season starts then. It was an impressive season no doubt. Though it’s very rare for a quarterback to manage the whole season with no real injuries to the skill positions. Hunt got released and they played better. Watkins went down and they faded some. I am still not sold he can put up these stats without hill and Kelce. But he can start a real legacy if he can perform in the playoffs like he did for most of the regular season. Andy Reid’s teams usually have these kinda issues come playoff time. That potent offense and scheme is great until you hang your defense out all game cause you score quickly, then come crunch time the opposing team just needs a stop or two and your defense is so gassed they can’t do anything to stop the other team. No doubt this is a telling postseason for some of these offenses. Does defense still win championships? Or is the new wave of offensive gurus ready to take things over
  4. I think it’s good for us so far. A lot may depend on who is running the defense. I think Gase is quite talented as a coordinator the dolphins ran a decent offense with limited talent. I think it was a smart move for him. Young quarterback with potential and tons of cap space and youngish talent. Surprised he got the job. And too funny reading the Jets board they think Peyton is coming to coach quarterbacks hahahaha.. That guy could be a head coach or GM tomorrow and he’s gonna settle for a quarterbacks coach under Adam Gase ???
  5. If I could just poach a couple right now I’d grab Alston Jeffrey from philly and desean Jackson from Tampa.. drop a 2 to philly and a 5 to Tampa. Get it done OBD lol.. In all seriousness I would say Allen needs the speedy guys the most. Get 3 burners out there and scare the crap out of defenses with the deep ball. Should leave a giant portion of the field open for a running back or tight end weekly.. Not sure I trust Allen and his touch to be tossing up many jump balls
  6. I think the offensive craze is a little overblown especially on here. The innovative offense never lasts long. The bears and rams are prime examples. They were killing it the first half of the season and either their young quarterbacks hit a wall or teams started seeing the same schemes and formations and recognizing them and stopping them. The chiefs might be the wild card in this scenario but this is possibly the best offense Reid has ever had, it’ll be interesting to see if Mahomes comes back down to earth (as he has been the last few games) and if Andy can get his team through the playoffs. These innovative offenses have not proven they can sustain an entire season in my opinion. Playoffs sure, winning rings though is much different. Some of these newish offensive hires the last few years don’t look all the good if you ask me. Bears are quite balanced with an elite defense. 49ers have been ugly. Philly has magical Foles. Rams seem to be dependent on Gurley taking over games. I’m just not sold that offense wins Super Bowls still. When push comes to shove I think ground and pound controlling the clock and limiting turnovers is still the way to go. Along with a top 15 defense that stays fresh during a game. With that said, I don’t think you need the young up and comer coordinator for offense. Just someone who can form an offense to fit the talent on the team.
  7. If it’s possible I’m trading that 9th pick away.. Either for a later first and 2nds or an impact receiver. If they’re staying at 9 I’ll agree with the LT Williams. I haven’t watched him play much I just hate to use a top 10 pick on any lineman who isn’t considered a instant 5-10 year starter and all pro from the get go. If we are making any kind of noise next season we need players who can make a serious impact day one. I don’t think there’s any can’t miss lineman in the top 10. Just my 2 cents some of the draft gurus may know better
  8. I’m in Tennessee and while I have followed the titans a long time mostly was a fan in the air McNair days when I actually lived in New York, still a fan now but I really never like Mariota.. Once they get rid of him I might follow them closer I like some of their players especially Taylor Lewan and Derrick Henry
  9. Very long read but well done. That was put together very nicely and makes some serious valid points
  10. I tried to spend a lot of time watching tyrell since soooooo many on here are high on signing him. I didn’t see anything very good at all. He was constantly jammed at the line and couldn’t seem to get around it, dropped one good ball thrown to him. Not sure where the hype came from maybe it was just a bad game. I’m not sold that he should be priority 1 in free agency for receivers. I’m still hopeful for some form of trade or a release like desean Jackson or something similar. I kinda feel if we are hoping Williams or Funchess is signing to help fix our issue at receiver we are gonna be highly disappointed next season. I think a rookie drafted is a given but still need some form of veteran leadership signed in free agency. I’m not a fan of Tate but given the other options he may be the most logical choice
  11. It’s multiple things. Forget the 9th ranked rushing offense, that’s mostly on Allen scrambling. You have a line who can’t run block. Too much shady losing 2-3 yards. Not enough smash mouth ivory for 3-4 yards. unproven receivers with unproven quarterbacks. No tight ends to make plays in the mid range game. Perfect storm of crap for this seasons offense
  12. Wow who would of thought the only highlight the entire first half for Baltimore was Ray Lewis coming out the tunnel lol.. Might need him to do the halftime speech and fire that offense up
  13. I hate playoff games like this. 2 teams in my opinion that are playing to see who loses the next game lol. Of course I suppose either could get hot and beat Indy NE or KC but I just don’t think they’re on the same level. Rivers seems to fall apart in big games.
  14. With how ugly some of the first half of the season was I think it’s to be expected not as many people show up. The blowout losses and peterman experiment then Allen’s injury. Not much reason to sell out or fill the seats. Maybe next year ??
  15. I was happy for the pick on draft day. I hated Rosen. I didn’t care for mayfield or Darnold either so josh kinda won by elimination. I seen Darnold as a turnover machine and figured he’d have the usual USC success. So far he looks better and like he’ll be a legit qb. But still looks like a turnover machine. Baker is what I thought he’d be, ready to play and probably a top 20 quarterback. Just don’t think he’s very special and will ever be better than a top 15 quarterback. Which isn’t a bad thing at all especially for poor Cleveland after all the years of suffering. Allen has limitless potential but I’d pump the brakes on crowning him a generational talent like some have on here. He could be a top 5-10 quarterback but there’s a lot of work to do on his game still. I don’t expect the running to be a normal thing for him. Gotta throw the ball and stop missing reads on the field. I will say in my eyes he progressed more than expected this season and that’s huge. If he can read the field better and make some of these easier throws he could make the jump to Aaron Rodgers (5 years ago) status. Which is obviously huge. Barring injuries bills fans should be excited to see him get better
  16. It should be interesting. Bills are in a nice spot. Issue I see is, if there is a quarterback one of these needy teams HAS TO HAVE they are probably looking to jump higher than 9 to get their guy. I get we are in a spot just ahead of the hungriest qb teams but even still I expect the most aggressive team to push for 3-5 to get their guy
  17. I would agree with some of the list. The Lamar hype is hilarious to me. Ravens are running a legit high school offense and it’s working for a few games and the hype train chugs along. Id like to see what he does say losing by 14 if he can actually run an offense throwing the ball to get them back in the game. Not hating on the guy but they’re basically just running the wildcat with some interesting pulling formations from the lineman and teams are having trouble adjusting, don’t think that’s gonna work well in the playoffs. Some of the list is just name hype and draft positions. Some are legit stars in the making
  18. I would definitely say no for next season. And probably no for any season in his career. I would expect this years rushing total to be the best he’ll ever do in his career. As he becomes a better passer he won’t run anywhere near as much, keep in mind a lot of his runs this season he missed reads and open guys on the field. As he progresses into a better passer (we hope) those running opportunities should go way down. Also let’s keep in mind his running style is not sustainable. He already had an injury and missed games this season (not from a rushing play) but that’s too much wear and tear on your potential franchise player.
  19. I’m too far away to go to the games live. But I’ll say I find it to be annoying at times on tv.
  20. Not sure about the cowboys.. They have some monster contracts to hand out the next season or 2.
  21. I think people have their sights set a little high on receiver. I wouldn’t be upset to land Julio or someone of his caliber. I just don’t see them going all out. I expect to draft someone who can potentially be a legit threat later but I don’t think they’ll go all out and lose draft picks for an again vet. I can see signing a vet free agent and drafting in round 1 or 2. I don’t think they’ll give up picks especially the ones it would take to land a top 5-10 receiver in this league.
  22. I’m honestly in shock how much attention star and that contract get on this board. Of course they overpaid for him. I don’t think anyone is arguing that fact. They trust him. They know him. They paid him above market value to come here. We don’t know his leadership qualities in the locker room or if he’s super smart in the film room.. holds guys accountable etc etc. It’s hard to define his effect on games. I do think it’s easy to tell when he has bad plays or bad games. I just never understood why his contract was so obsessed over. It doesn’t hurt us the next couple years and it was a very low risk signing since they were so familiar with him.
  23. I would disagree the talent got him fired. They had to expect better discipline and the big one.. progression from his unit. Fair amount of young lineman on the team who don’t seem to be getting much better. Miller was drafted and expected to be a decent guard.. Dawkins seems to have taken a step back. On top of the no name younger guys who were inactive a large portion of the season. Nobody really seemed to improve. Thats the definition of coaching is making players better. The receivers were lacking talent but you did see them progressing as the season went on. Night and day from the first quarter of the season to the last for the receivers. I would assume Castillo does quite well with seasoned vets who understand the game, but struggles developing younger guys learning the game. Of course that’s just my 2 cents. I’m sure he seen the writing on the wall quite some time ago with the performance of the line this season and how it never really got better
  24. This thing is going off the rails I’m shutting it down.. Lol in all seriousness why would some of you want to trade for a guy who demands targets and is going to throw a temper tantrum every time Allen looks for another teammate? I personally don’t think Pittsburgh can let him go unless they get an impact player plus elite draft picks to compensate the cap issues it will cause them. Those dead cap hits are no joke for a team like them with limited cap wiggle room.
