  1. Besides the criminal stuff.. He’s been out of football for what 2 years basically? And he’s like 6’9 or something.. Offensive linemen in the NFL will get right into his chest with ease.. This isn’t college or high school where he wins at the line cause he’s bigger and stronger. You need serious technique and to be in tip top shape. Hard to do being out of college and no pro ball for two years at that size. I guess he could be invited to camp and show what he’s got but I don’t see why there would be any demand for him.
  2. It definitely should. They’re fully loaded at tight end now. Also I don’t think this sets the market really. Baltimore values him quite high for the gimmick run offense they are going to run. He would not have seen that much in free agency. Jesse James might be close to the same number, but as others have said it’s all about the guarantees
  3. Open just about any thread on the main page and we can see everyone’s predictions and expectations. I personally did not agree with quite a few names on your list. But I do agree they won’t be after the huge names like brown and bell
  4. Too early to tell. He played well in some stretches and looked overmatched in others. Probably a big year for his career if he’s going to be a legit starter in this league
  5. I don’t think Williams has played left tackle. For Carolina he was always on the right side
  6. They also had Case Keenum back there. Not exactly the poster boy for avoiding sacks.
  7. He is a solid pickup if they sign him. But it all depends on health and concussions for this guy. He’s missed a ton of games. He’s one of those buy low guys I’m hoping.
  8. Sure let’s sign a safety on his absolute last legs to a one year deal. Sounds like a great deal to put us over the top. I highly doubt he wants to play for a super bowl contender and he surely wants to join a rebuilding team
  9. I would agree with others it’s Lawrence and it’s not even close. He walks in the door and is immediately the best player on the whole team. Pipedream to get him. Cowboys have some really serious cap issues, with Lawrence,Dak,Amari, and Zeke all needing new contracts, on top of some others coming up soon. Unfortunately the cap issue won’t kill them this year. I think they can resign Lawrence to a monster contract. Gonna hurt them later though
  10. To be fair they need the money. They could cut and let a lot of decent players walk. They went money crazy last year. They also were waiting on LT whitworth to decide and he’s coming back at 11 million. Sullivan checks a lot of boxes if they can’t land Morse or Paradis. I’d rather have one of those 3 vets over a rookie this season just from a football IQ perspective
  11. All that spending last offseason did the trick since they made a Super Bowl run. Now that they’re letting a lot of the vets walk is key how they replace them. I think Suh is out too
  12. He would be a good fit. They also seem to value intelligence over ability at times. I’m all for a starting center fresh off a Super Bowl even if it was a loss.
  13. Day drinking at its finest... In before chandler has to close it while he contemplates how to install a breathalyzer before OP can start anymore threads
  14. possible fall back if some of the other top guys don’t sign here
  15. This is exactly the type of player they need. Versatile and young and signed up a couple more years. Someone called him a dime a dozen type running back but that’s absurd. Not many people watch the Browns so I get it cause you read his stat line. However I have sadly watched those browns the last couple years and duke is very very underutilized. He’s not an every down back and he’s not paid like one. He will make some plays every single game though if he’s given a chance. 2 years ago Cleveland was a total joke and lost big every game. Hue didn’t even use Johnson much and he did pack on a lot of garbage time stats. This season Chubb exploded and once again duke was left out of the game plans. He is absolutely worth a later round pick and would be a huge get here for buffalo
  16. I’ll sign him ASAP since you demanded it
  17. I would disagree kinda. Murphy is an excellent rusher.... when he’s healthy. That’s the big question mark. He was basically hurt all last season which sucks. Also don’t forget Lorax may be rushing a little more if they add some more linebackers which I’m sure they will.
  18. He was on the ups in Indy and seemed to die in New England. As far as I know he’s an excellent blocker and half decent receiver. I think I would still prefer the younger more athletic options. But he’s still a solid vet. Surely not worth the 7 million New England was on the hook for
  19. Yikes.. That guy is a walking weekly injury. Super talented but injuries have destroyed him in Detroit.
  20. I agree. I thought Houston was much older than he is, but still not the elite rusher I’d like to see in buffalo
  21. I would be happy to have Harry and Foster lining up for us this season. My only concern really if buffalo drafts him is having that veteran/mentor on the roster. Be interesting to see what they target in free agency.
  22. Better players for who? Us or the buffalo bills? It was pretty obvious they paid for guys they were familiar with (mostly the Carolina boys), and guys who had high risk high reward potential (Murphy). Its been about team building and locker room not best talent available. That was the rebuild plan. Since day one McDermott has been putting a group of guys in the locker room who set a certain standard on the practice field and film room etc etc. I for one did not like some of those guys.. Obviously we could of had a way better running back than washed up mike Tolbert, but he brought something behind the scenes and had a purpose establishing whatever McDermott is preaching to these guys. Now that the core group is put together they can hopefully assemble more talent and I would expect would get more bang for their buck. Just my opinion but last offseason most of us armchair gm’s were thinking of building a winning team for that season. These guys seemed to just field the youngest and/or cheapest team available in a lot of positions we wanted better talent. The plan was never to have a good team last season. Just coach up the younger players and hopefully find some hidden gems. Once again just my opinion but Star was signed to a fat contract for more than on field production. I would also be willing to bet if they thought Shaq would play that well they would not have signed Murphy. Now this offseason if they’re signing cornerbacks and safeties for top dollars we may have a real issue in that front office lol.
  23. I fully expect 1-2 pretty huge short contracts. One of the reasons I couldn’t understand why everyone was so mad over star and Murphy. Money has to go somewhere
  24. I live in Tennessee so I watched him a bunch there, enjoyed his play in buffalo. But I didn’t watch him in Washington. I’m sure teams will line up for him he was just one of my favorites to watch. So I’ll cheer if buffalo gets in the mix for him
