  1. Not sure what’s biased. It’s not like I’m some big Allen homer claiming he’s the next big thing.
  2. Other than Jared cook I don’t see many of those guys being a fit. Mathews and Houston I can’t see playing end, and we don’t blitz the linebackers much we ask them to cover a ton which are not strengths of those 2. Ansah I’m guessing if he’s healthy and they wanted him at his asking price would have already been signed. I can’t see them doing much else unless it’s a huge bargain price
  3. I never said Baker was a bad quarterback. Just I’m not a fan of his. I don’t think he’s as special as many make him out to be. And I don’t think he’ll be much better than he already is which isn’t exactly a bad thing. The Jeff Garcia comparison wasn’t meant to be a knock that’s just who he reminds me of. The fanboy love him and Mahomes get on here is kinda sickening at times
  4. I fully expect them to underachieve. Just seems to be too many egos to manage. At some point they’ll hate each other I don’t care if Beckham and Landry are friends or not. But if Baker flames out they’re back to the laughing stock. I’ve never been a big baker fan, he’s Jeff Garcia 2.0 to me. But I’m no quarterback expert.
  5. They have been in quarterback purgatory longer than buffalo, that’s why I would be scared. Bakers second year, the expectations set through the roof, superstars all around and media up your butt 24 hours a day... He looked good last year but he has a lot of developing to do and that’s what would worry me. As with us you can load up the team all you want but if your quarterback regresses or has a mental breakdown from the pressure some guys can never recover from that. Very few quarterbacks I can think of in their second season so many people are talking Super Bowl and hyping the team so much. Rams I don’t think even got this much hype. It’s going to be a lot of pressure.
  6. I said in another thread it’s gonna be rough on them. Media is going to eat some of those kids alive. It has the potential to get really ugly really fast. Of course they can find success, but they have more pressure on them than any other team in the league. Which may not be good for so many young players and a new coach. OBJ will have every target analyzed. Which puts mayfield under a 24/7 microscope. Then the hunt drama when he’s reinstated. The coach is going to take a beating if they don’t win a lot of games with this “loaded” roster and fans will be calling for his head first year if they don’t make the playoffs after all these moves. It’s a lot to deal with for a very young team. I don’t disagree with the moves they’ve made their team looks good. It’s the outside world I would be very scared of if I’m a Cleveland fan
  7. I find it a little crazy how much love the browns are getting. They have a nice roster going but this year is going to be packed with pressure. They are putting a lot on some really young players and some serious egos over there. Couple bad games and the wheels could literally come off. Way too early to crown them, sure praise them for turning over the roster I get that. But the pressure is already being packed on from all across the country. The media is going to eat some of these kids alive. The hunt saga the constant OBJ stat analysis is Baker the man to lead this team the new head coach I thank god that kind of pressure isn’t on the bills this season. I would hate that.
  8. Honestly he brings nothing to this offense. Definitely lost a step at least. We just added some weapons and have the draft to go there’s zero reason to rush out and sign a guy who is at best 4th receiver on the team. Yeah I said it, he’d be lucky to beat out Zay for the 4th spot
  9. I would disagree. The linemen they chose were versatile guys who can play more than one position. That’s apparently the board they built. Kalil and Williams only play one position. This Carolina connection stuff is way overblown. The front office there is totally revamped from Beanes days there and I would doubt he has any real inside info there any other GM doesn’t have. I doubt he calls Rivera and asks questions on players. Morse is obviously locked in to start but all those others signed are versatile players who can play multiple positions.
  10. I’m hoping this is a joke.. Sarcasm is so hard to read on here I can’t tell if people really want to pick him up????
  11. This was very similar to what I wanted to see. Months ago I wanted DeSean Jackson via trade and our deep speed guy, and I would still take him at the one year left on his contract over brown..who like some others I didn’t think would come here after turning us down last year, but we’re here now and brown is a solid addition. No complaints from me. Beasley was someone I didn’t think we could afford to bid with other teams, I really thought he would cost so so much more than what he got. He is without a doubt IMO the #1 addition this offseason for the simple reason he makes this offense an extremely deadly threat. Morse and brown are important but you can’t bomb it every play, when Allen makes that first read outside and sees the safeties deep covering the speed Beasley can feast underneath. Nobody and I mean nobody will cover that guy over the middle. He should be the biggest key to Allen making the next step to legit quarterbacking and climbing that elite ladder. 1st down clutch machine. All of that said I would really still like to see a tight end added with Kroft, who I like. I still want to see that kinda move tight end who can line up multiple spots and get open against the linebackers. Kroft is a great 5 yard catch guy. I want the Ertz 20 yard guy. So I’m hoping they can now draft one of the top tight ends this year. Very exciting additions this offseason. I honestly can’t complain about any of the signings. I found it to be pure genius on Beanes part
  12. While this was an exciting free agency period, nothing has changed yet. The top teams are still the top teams. It has the look of some “losing” teams possibly changing the culture but until the games are played it don’t mean much. I hope to see some changing of the guard this season but I’m not holding my breath
  13. Maybe it’s just me but the quarterbacks seem to thrive big time with these elite guys getting them the ball early on, But as time goes on they all seem to get worse. I think an argument can be made that the tunnel vision to lock on to these elite receivers seems to hurt some quarterbacks overall game of reading the field and finding other guys. 10 years ago maybe not such a big deal, just seems to be a growing trend of today’s quarterbacks.
  14. I honestly don’t think the OBJ trade hurts them or makes them go into “tank” mode. I do however think they got hosed on the deal. They could of gotten better compensation for him. That said, they have some decent receivers and a pretty exciting young tight end to use, and Barkley is obviously a monster. Where I think Gettleman is an idiot is his use of their cap, they gave out sickening contracts. In the end though, I don’t think having OBJ makes their offense that much better. It’s Barkley’s team now. I don’t think they’ll be all that good this year, but Barkley, Sheppard’s, and Engram isn’t a terrible group to have on the field. The offensive line is trash and Eli is gonna get killed either way since he’s a statue, that’s the big problem for them
  15. Either way regardless of who they added it’s on Allen. This team will only go as far as he takes them. I am ecstatic with the signings they’ve made and think they have drastically improved the offense. We don’t exactly know some of those lineman signed but they have the look that Beane really did some homework big time on these signings and they all are versatile and can play multiple positions and some of them quite good as well. A lot of posters seem to be on the legit #1 receiver threat, which I get. Me personally I want the move tight end who can work the middle of the field with Beasley. In the end though we can add all the best free agents and traded guys we want but Allen has to put it together. The run game has to improve for him, and he has to learn to work the field and get these new weapons all involved. If he’s the guy I see no reason this can’t be a top 10 offense if the run game is working. I would also expect some impact rookies at DT, LB, and TE for the draft.
  16. Their GM is smart, not sure what number they have to spend but it looks like they may be making a cap donation lol
  17. And they basically only lost two players and they’ve replaced both already. Not to mention the draft picks. Only thing that screws them is if Gronk retires and they have to scramble for a tight end
  18. A week ago I might of agreed. Not anymore. They’re a mess. They spent all their free agent money on 2 players. And the defense still sucks. Trading for AB won’t save the mess they created
  19. Well the raiders have bought top tier talent. They have a franchise quarterback, franchise left tackle? franchise receiver. And 4 picks in the first 40. Let’s see how they do with your philosophy
  20. Lol you can lead the horse to water... Common issue on here when people like certain players, and bash anyone else brought in. Draft time is worse than free agency ??
  21. Depends. If we throw more think 70+ for 600-750 yards. Touchdowns matter but they’re also so scattered for players. One thing is for sure, this guy should immediately be Allen’s best friend. He is always open.
