  1. Washington is apparently cutting Zach Brown.. Love to have him back. Him, Milano and TE is some serious linebacker speed on the field
  2. I wouldn’t stress this tweet too much. I don’t know the guys personal life or anything but it makes very little sense to return on a one year deal when he’ll get HUGE money on the open market. These guys do have kids in school etc etc but signing a one year deal could be a killer for him. Another injury riddled season and he’ll get squat next year.
  3. The money doesn’t matter, it actually helps buffalo to have him at 9 million for one year as far as our spending for this offseason. That being said I would be a little concerned to give over a 5th round pick for him. I would still want him to play his final year out before an extension. If he blows up here no big deal to sign him long term, if he doesn’t do well no biggie to let him walk next year. I would hate to give up anything in the 1-4th round class though for a possible one year rental
  4. Unless they were to swing some huge kind of trade plus sign a few free agents I would think Zay is safe. Cheap contract, still room to improve.. Doesn’t make sense to let him go for nothing
  5. I’m sure this could fit in one of the other 1,000 threads on free agency and draft.
  6. I agree on this. If teams are gonna end up trading up for one of the two possible quarterbacks I would expect they’ll jump higher than 9 for sure.
  7. Latavius Murray sounds like he’ll be available too and wants a starting job. Always liked the way that guy runs. He’s a monster. I wouldn’t hate on him handling running downs and using shady and Murphy in the receiving roles
  8. Cmon now people. This isn’t the 49er Crabtree, or even the raider Crabtree. We seriously have to stop overhyping players cause we heard their name or they used to be good or “they’re better than what we have now” There’s likely 30+ receivers that’ll hit the market that would be considered better than what we have now. More cap casualties will be coming. There’s a lot of better options than adding Crabtree. And will be more coming soon
  9. Those stats sound like 5-11 for the bills. That’s not what we want. If Allen is rushing for 1000 yards it means we have no run game, and the o line still sucks bad and he’s running for his life. We want 4,000 passing and like 300-350 rushing. Also as others mentioned he’s not going to stay very healthy running for 1,000
  10. These guys are billionaires. Of course they can pay for discretion etc etc for these kinds of services. Being that rich though must bring some cockiness and feeling untouchable in some areas. I have to agree if this is some sort of trafficking type deal it’s a feature not an accident. That being said there’s enough power and money behind this to make it all go away and disappear. I would be shocked if much more came of this. I expect there’s teams upon teams of powerful people working on covering this up and changing the storylines to spin it. In no way would I ever believe in this day and age money and power especially in this country solves this issue for the accused.
  11. Makes much more sense now. I didn’t realize they had that many leave in free agency. Forgot about Lewis and butler completely.
  12. I must really not get how this works lol. Dont you have to lose players in free agency for this and not sign many? I have never fully understood the formula, not sure anyone really does. Multiple 3’s seems quite high though for both them and LA. Doesn’t seem like they lost or didn’t resign many players
  13. Sometimes when you’re on top of the world you do dumb sh**... Billionaire and his team just won the super bowl.. Kraft probably feels pretty untouchable. My first guess is he’ll pay a little fine and it’ll all go away. Gonna depend on if this is really some sort of trafficking deal or just some desperate ladies working. It would have to be worse than it seems to have him in real trouble with the nfl. I could see some form a massive fine but i don’t think they can really punish the team or make him sell unless some shadier details get confirmed
  14. You never know who may appear. We could see duke Johnson or maybe Theo riddick released, could be lots of those shifty receiving kinda backs by the time free agency rolls around. I don’t scout the draft that deep to know whose around later in the draft. And I wouldn’t be against paying for talent, just have my favorites or preferences I suppose.
  15. I fully stand by my stance of the bills don’t have to acquire a #1 type receiver to run a great offense. I never said anything about getting rid of shady just that I’d be happy to run Murphy ivory and a rookie Cohen type back this season. I probably would not have kept Gilmore. Not at the price New England paid. Hes worth it for them, and I won’t bash the guy he played lights out for them the last half of this season. Not totally sure what you’re getting at with all this, or if you just have a personal beef with my posts. Bell and brown are not good fits for buffalo under this regime. They have shown no interest in acquiring these kinds of players.
  16. I fully agree bell deserves to get paid, and I was on his side for a lot of the issues with the Steelers. It was a huge risk to play on the franchise tag, he could of lost giant money if he was injured really bad and lost out on this fat contract he’s about to get. I just don’t want the bills to give it to him. No matter who signs him it’s going to be 24/7 news all season. Was he worth the money? Is he out of shape? Etc etc etc... Not the headlines I wanna see our team put through. I like flying under the radar lol.. just not as far under as we’ve been for 20 years. Bell deserves this contract. Brown deserves a new team and quarterback to prove he’s as good without Big Ben
  17. I would bet you’d be dead wrong there. But it was a decent attempt at being humorous. Adding an elite level player to an established team like the pats or super bowl contender is one thing. Adding players with huge egos and negative media stories to a young unestablished team is another. Maybe I shouldn’t of classified all free agents but it was meant for Pittsburgh’s castoffs. As for the running backs I stated I’d be fine running the 3 we have in shady ivory and Murphy with a rookie mixed in hoping he’d take the full time job. It all depends on the offensive line and if they add enough talent to it.
  18. Just because I don’t want some of the big names here doesn’t mean I want to roll out the same roster from last season. Bell and brown from Pittsburgh specifically I would never want on any team I cheer for. Its just my philosophy but you don’t pay for elite talent, you draft it and retain it after they’ve proven themselves. Free agents are meant for depth and possible comeback stories like Lorax. Running back is by far the easiest spot to fill on the team. And they have 3 currently. If the line was better I would be more than happy to trot shady, ivory, Murphy and a rookie out there. With the hopes of course that the rookie outshines them all by mid season and soaks up a large portion of the touches.
  19. They could always just bench his *** for the remainder of his contract too. Not a smart move but they could do it.
  20. Guess we will have a new post for every single worthless castaway this offseason.
  21. I fully agree on both fronts. Trent Brown is a absolute monster in size but I don’t think he performs half as good outside of New England. Easy to be an elite tackle for one season when the ball comes out in 3 seconds or less almost every play. Same for Darby, been injured and probably has to sign a one year prove it deal I highly doubt he wants to come back to the team that traded him away cause he doesn’t “fit” the system they are still running. Darby will probably have a ton of teams to choose from.
  22. He’s a terrible rep for that movement. He didn’t do it for the “cause” come on now. You can’t seriously believe he did this and “risked” his dying career on its last breath for the people.
  23. But why does the money he’s paid matter? The bills haven’t been hurting for cash to sign players, and by the time they need the money he’s getting it’ll be easy to move on. There have been some really questionable signings and moves here since Beane took over however there’s something to be said with familiarity of the players. The “Carolina connection” etc etc Of course they overpaid for Star, that’s obvious to anyone. What does he bring in the locker room? Film room? Does he make players on the team better? Now I do not know the answers to these questions but McDermott does and he obviously wants the guy on the team for a reason. Just my 2 cents but it seems they are paying for more than just production from the guy. If we were to the cap and hurting for money to sign players I could see people being upset and bashing stars salary but as of right now it means nothing. He’s not taking away from the team or hurting the team. Could we spend his 10 million on better production? Of course. But they have been building something in their vision that is more important to them than just production at this point. A locker room culture and team first mentality. You need vets to do that and hold young guys accountable. Maybe star fills that I don’t know
  24. I never said it was because of those receivers. Just that you can have success and be a great offense without prototypical number one kinda guys. Not sure where you get your assumptions or if you actually read my post, I never claimed those teams didn’t make the playoffs BECAUSE of the receivers, or that having a Julio Jones type doesn’t do ****.. The point was simply put that you can have a potent offense and success and NOT have a legit #1 guy. It’s just a matter of having a VARIETY of weapons in the pass game
  25. Cooks is not what I would consider a true #1 receiver. Woods is more their #1 than cooks. My point was most of the best guys in the league are not in the playoffs. You can run a really good offense without the prototypical #1 receiver like Julio, Hopkins or Beckham etc etc.. A lot of people seem obsessed that we have to have a Julio Jones #1 receiver guy to have a legit deadly offense and I would disagree. And I said maybe some wouldn’t be considered #1 kinda guys. But if you’ve seen Golloday play you’d know he’s going to be a pretty elite receiver and Adams makes some serious plays in packer country.
