  1. Most of us understand that he opted out of 2020 completely which left us completely unprepared at 1-tech, then he skipped most of camp, then wasn't available for large parts of 2021... in addition to being severely overpaid for his production. This is a fine topic. Let's get back to it. One loophole Beane might exploit w/ Star (heard this on a podcast) is that the $2.5M is guaranteed only if he attends 2022 camp. They can use this as a bargaining chip if Star wants to retire and doesn't want to go through camp -- he might be willing to negotiate on his way out and the Bills can restructure the $2.5M in a creative way to free up more 2022 cap.
  2. In 9 games last year: 1.5 Sacks 3 tackles for loss 2 forced fumbles 0 fumbles recovered I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to crown him a Hall of Famer.
  3. This. If we were going to overpay for a defensive end, there are about 10-20 guys I would want over Chase Young for the 1st Rounder+ it would take. Lol “Hall Of Fame Talent” … Just FYI, he had 1.5 sacks this year in 9 games and was constantly out of position. He’s a huge reason why the Redskins defense regressed badly this year.
  4. Is Bill Belichick a bad coach? He would bench players for entire seasons for fumbling once and was notoriously hard to work for. This is an all-time awful take.
  5. One mistake should cost him his entire career? He got fired and had to go to a significantly worse organization. I'd say that's punishment enough for one mistake after a great ST season.
  6. To me, it's still Mahomes at #1. He has a Super Bowl and an MVP. Nobody else has that. Josh is in the same class at 1/2 and everybody else is 3+.
  7. Really tough spot for the Raiders. Carr is good enough that you can't let him go, but NOT worth that money. Same can be said for the extensions Mayfield and Jackson will likely get.
  8. How about Aaron Rodgers scoring 10 points total against the 49ers? They got bounced in the first round. How about Dak Prescott and the Cowboys pulling a QB sneak with 17 seconds left and running the clock out against the 49ers? They got bounced in the first round. How about Stafford throwing a horrific ball directly to the 49ers safety, which he dropped? 49ers would have won that game with Jimmy G... but despite not being "clutch" they got lucky and won the SB. You can do this with any team, AFC or NFC.
  9. It's fair to blame Beane as a manager of the problem, but I have a long thread about the real problem -- Bobby Johnson. He was a horrible talent evaluator and he's gone now.
  10. Now that every Josh Allen hater has been proven wrong, it’s time to call every raw prospect “The Next Josh Allen” to make themselves feel better.
  11. For a guy who loves bologna sandwiches so much, is it really a surprise that everyone is now finding out he's full of bologna? 😁
  12. There should be a third option for "only if he's willing to take $5M or less." Personally, I don't think he's a big enough upgrade at TE1, but at TE2 do we really think Gronk isn't a big upgrade over Tommy Sweeney? He'd be great for Knox's development as well. Who cares if it feels weird to sign him. He's from Buffalo, loves the city, and is a great player.
  13. 1. Josh wants Dorsey. 2. Beane wants to promote from within. 3. Dorsey will run a similar system to Daboll. 4. Dorsey already knows all the players on offense, their skills, and the playbook. Whether you like it or want it or not, it’s happening. Could we possibly upgrade and get a genius? Yes, but who says Dorsey isn’t that genius? And anybody coming in doesn’t know the players, coaches, playbook, etc., so it’s MORE risky to go with someone external.
  14. This is the best part about Rodgers possibly going to Denver. Only one division winner between Denver, KC, and LAC. Raiders aren't terrible either. Love seeing them beat each other up before the playoffs.
  15. 2021 Defense Ranking: #1 2020 Defense Ranking: #13 2019 Defense Ranking: #3 2018 Defense Ranking: #2 I don't remember Dungy ever putting a top 3 defense on the field for Peyton. McDermott has done it 3 out of the last 4 years.
  16. This. They could save another ~$10MM by cutting Darryl Williams and AJ Klein as well. Use that money to get an impact player at either position.
  17. Prior to Sunday's game, Leslie Frazier had a small chance to become a head coach. That would have netted us two third round picks due to the Rooney rule. He's not worth that. After the 13 second debacle, I think that chance has slipped down to 0%. So, I'm curious what you all think about this idea... If McDermott states in his next press conference that it was his decision to play conservative in the last 2 minutes (or even 13 seconds) ... does that salvage some of Frazier's marketability? Even if it creates a 1% chance, it's good for the organization and he should jump on the grenade.
  18. I've noticed that every time he talks about the Bills and Josh, it's consistent. Really fun to listen to and not biased due to Jets fandom at all.
  19. We will never know for sure, but I think you're right. In the press conference after the game, McDermott kept saying it was an "execution issue." If it was the wrong play call, he would not have suggested the kicker messed up.
  20. Is everyone feeling a little emotional, or do we really want to run the guy out of town who took us from no playoffs in 20 years to playoffs 4 out of 5 years? If Mahomes didn't play like a god in the last 2 minutes, would you be saying this? Good lord.
  21. Comparing McKenzie to Deebo is like comparing Kyler Murray to Josh Allen.
  22. Patriots fans will tell you Josh Allen can't play in the snow
  23. Personally, I would hate to see Bill Belichick retire until another 3-4 years from now. The way he has built his team as a GM is purgatory-land. I have no doubt he’ll be a mediocre coach for the next several years and I would love to see that proven out right in front of everyone.
