  1. Can you just be happy for one minute? Damn
  2. If you don't love this Front Office, check your pulse because you are legally dead.
  3. Get him and Shaq on cheap 1-yr deals. They WANT to play here. At worst, very solid depth.
  4. Remember when everyone wanted to trade a 2nd round pick for him?
  5. Not a shocker at all. Extremely high paid Right Guard who isn't an extremely talented Right Guard. We paid him like a tackle because that's what he was. He gave us average play at both Tackle and Guard. Plenty of people saw this coming.
  6. We paid Taiwan Jones $1.66M last year as a "Running Back" but he was just a Special Teamer. He never played on Offense. Or think about guys like Matt Breida and Zach Moss, who bring zero value on Special Teams, so they were sometimes healthy scratches. If a Running Back can't play Special Teams, his value is way more limited. Replacing Breida and Jones with RB's who can also play Special Teams well is a huge upgrade. It opens up the roster to not needing guys JUST for Special Teams like Kumerow, Matakevich, Neal, etc.
  7. So.... who do you put in on 4th and 3? This guy or Devin Singletary? He's 5'9' 210 and has "moments of passivity when headed between tackles while tapping brakes into traffic" I don't understand what traits this guy brings that we don't already have. We need the fastest RB in the draft or a guy that can break tackles consistently and Borghi is neither.
  8. For those searching for silver linings: 1) Bosa and Mack will beat up Mahomes 2x per regular season. 2) The price for an elite DE trade is now set. We won't have to pay more than a 2nd and 6th for a guy with similar skill set and cap hit to Mack.
  9. If the Bills sign Bobby Wagner, it probably won't be to a 1 year deal. The mid-to-late round ILB is simply to provide depth and hope he learns from Wagner so in 2-3 years, you have a contingency plan. Of course it's not a slam dunk, that's why they're not first round picks, but being groomed under an all-pro increases your chances. Haha unfortunately you're right. Trading Edmunds for a high pick is more difficult than it sounds because the team trading for him would ALSO target Bobby Wagner in free agency and would not have to give up picks. You'd have to trade Edmunds to an undesirable location like Jax that has trouble attracting Free Agents.
  10. Signing Wagner and trading Edmunds would be a dream. - Upgrade the ILB position. - Get draft capital back for Edmunds. - Edmunds fully gtd $12.7M 5th year option moves to the new team at no penalty. - Groom a mid-to-late round ILB behind Wagner, an All-Pro.
  11. It depends on the age of your superstars. If you have a 25 year old elite QB, you don't mortgage your future on winning short term. If you have a 35+ or 40+ year old elite QB, the story changes. There is almost zero chance the Bills should or would mortgage their future for one player. The Randy Moss trade was for a 4th round pick. At the time, he looked awful and unmotivated on the Raiders. It was just a good trade for NE.
  12. Where are you getting those numbers? Spotrac has it completely different.
  13. Welcome to "Who's Line Is It Anyway" where the salary cap doesn't matter and the players are made up
  14. Looks bad for us until you realize that Mahomes has to play Herbert 2x, Wilson 2x, and Raiders 2x next year during the regular season, then possibly again in playoffs.
  15. Hmm... using our 1st round pick on a 3-tech DT when the obvious need is 1-tech DT, CB, DE, and WR? No thanks. Oliver and Wyatt won't be on the field at the same time on a ton of downs. He's also not best player available. It would be better to lean in to positional strength in the draft like WR.
  16. https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/58052/jack-easterby For those less familiar, Easterby is a "company man" that has the ear of the team owner and is rumored to be behind some of the Texans worst hires and franchise decisions. He has survived through some of the most inept front office regimes football has ever seen. Thank god our version of Easterby is very, very far away from the team now.
  17. He actually said the exact opposite buddy: https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2021/05/why-bills-are-struggling-to-land-top-udfas-how-brandon-beane-prepared-for-this.html He said we need as many late round picks as possible because it's hard to recruit UDFA's due to the roster being so competitive. Here's another one where he said he traded back last year to get more late round picks for the same reason: https://buffalowdown.com/2021/05/03/buffalo-bills-nfl-draft-brandon-beane-explains-reason-trade-back/
  18. Whenever I see fans post things like this, I feel embarrassed for them. Do you not understand the value of having free 3rd round picks, 4th round picks, etc.? Look at the most successful teams in the league the past several decades: Patriots, Ravens, Packers, etc. They all know how to exploit the comp pick formula. As for the formula, it's not that complicated. Here's a link to show upcoming comp picks. 1) You need to release more players than you sign. 2) If the players you let go (or don't re-sign) get big $$$ in free agency, you get free draft picks. These are not throw-away picks. They matter. 2021 Round 3: Spencer Brown 2020 Round 4: Gabriel Davis 2020 Round 6: Tyler Bass 2019 Round 3: Devin Singletary 2019 Round 3: Dawson Knox 2018: Round 3: Harrison Phillips 2018 Round 4: Taron Johnson 2018 Round 5: Wyatt Teller
  19. Lets play the expected trade out... Raiders traded a 3rd and 5th for him, but that was after the Bills drama. We would have likely given a similar or better package. 2019 2nd Round: Cody Ford 3rd Round: Devin Singletary 3rd Round: Dawson Knox 5th Round: Vosean Joseph 2020: 2nd Round: AJ Epenesa 3rd Round: Zack Moss 5th Round: Jake Fromm If the 2019 picks were given up, that would have stung a bit. If it was 2020 picks, meh.
  20. Always surprised when people pick him. He's undersized and has never shown positional flexibility, so... is the assumption that we're going to cut or trade Morse? There are way bigger needs. He's a super athletic Center and a great player, but I'd rather have a massive Guard if that's the true need and groom a Center late.
  21. He's not even allowed to have other offers yet. Why would he say he's taking another one when he doesn't know the market?
