We need as many of those as we can get if we want to recoup a nice 3rd and/or 4th round pick for losing Edmunds and Hyde. 2) The exact type of runner we need. Good in pass pro, experienced, good in short yardage. 3) "Been there before" attitude. Played his best ball in the playoffs and won the SB. So ... he was rated the best linebacker in the league last year, but he's getting older. He'll give the Bills 1-2 more years of elite production, because that's what he's done his entire career including last year. If he was the best linebacker in the league and was 24 years old, we wouldn't be able to afford him and his team probably wouldn't let him go. Not sure what kind of answer you're looking for outside of this.

Some of us wanted him last year alongside an Edmunds trade. He ended up signing with the Rams at about $12M/per. Now Bobby and the Rams are “mutually agreeing to part ways because he wants to be with a contender.” How about Bobby Wagner and a late round pick to groom at MLB?

We drafted an RB in the 2nd round last year who has elite traits. All we need now is a guy who can run between the tackles and pass block. Sounds like Roschon is a good fit, not just because he can do the thing we actually need, but also because he doesn't cost an elite pick that can be used on other things we need.

I’m going to keep this as simple as possible: No. Spotrac and your assumption is that good stats = good/valuable player. Gabe Davis was thrown the ball a lot by one of the best QBs in the league, so he put up yards and TDs. Gabe Davis also showed this year that he has extremely unreliable hands and a limited route tree, which might have cost the Bills their season. Some sucker team will pay him in the off-season, but they shouldn’t. The Bills will draft a WR in the top 3 rounds this off-season and that will tell you everything you need to know.

Silver lining, if he leaves and gets paid top tier money, we potentially get a 3rd or 4th round comp pick as long as we dont sign more guys than we lose.

Great topic. I love Locked On Bills. Can we talk about how One Bills Live has all the potential in the world, but is ruined by “company men” Chris Brown and Steve Tasker? The get all the interviews, guests, team resources … but they ruin it by asking softball questions and constantly stroking the team’s ego. Sometimes I listen just to see if that mentality changes after a loss, but it never does.

It’s not a problem with this message board, it’s a problem with the fan base and it’s totally understandable. After a very long history of failure (my entire adult life as I’m 37 years old), there is finally excitement and hope again. Any time that hope is dashed, the feelings are amplified. People feel like THIS is our one and only chance… and perhaps rightfully so. A little bit of understanding and grace will go a long way in just enjoying this historic moment we’re currently in.

Ask anybody in DC and they will tell you he is the most overrated player in the league. Someone is going to give him a huge contract and he’s Jadeveon Clowney at best. Not picking up the 5th year option on a rookie contract should probably tell you something.

Somehow, he drops to the 5th round in the 2020 draft .... WHAT??? The Bills HAVE TO DRAFT HIM TO BACKUP JOSH ALLEN.... THEY DO!!!! And the rest is history, my friends. Love him as a player. Hate him as an injury risk. There's too much on the line to risk not having a WR2 again come playoff time because Keenan Allen is injured when it matters. Brady, some cheating, and Belichick as an above average coach. Calling Belichick the GOAT when he's 79-88 without Tom Brady is a little much. If he was truly the greatest, he wouldn't needed the greatest player of all time to be above .500. Feel free to disagree... but they were a dumpster fire last year and have been spending every dollar of their cap on the exact players Belichick wants ... and still zero playoff wins.

You watched the video and that was your takeaway? Personally, I thought this showed horrific play design time and again. Look at 16:30. You have 3 WRs on one side of the field running verts into a 2 high safety look. Zero short or intermediate route… just “go sling it into double coverage, Josh!” … and no short or intermediate answer for the corner blitz. That is NOT a player issue. That is a play design issue.

He currently has zero guaranteed money for next year in his contract. I wouldn’t assume he’s cut. It’s in both the Bills and his best interest to try to restructure the deal first.

With Devin Singletary set to become a free agent, I thought it might be interesting to highlight available free agents and provide a variety of options via poll.
