Buddy… this is either a desperate cry for attention, or you really know nothing about this team. I think you should delete this thread while you can.

Am I the only one who hasn't completely given up on Zack Moss?
Rigotz replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately, it's this. He's not big enough or fast enough to compensate for his lack of field awareness and vision. He plays with toughness, which I love, and is great in pass pro, but he's 5'9'' 205 ... so he can't just run into guys and move them. He runs a 4.65, so he's not out-running anyone and he's a single-cut runner. He's great at breaking tackles for his size, but he's not elusive, so it's important to have GREAT vision, patience, and balance. He doesn't have that. So ... what part of his game is elite, that makes up for all the other missing attributes? Will the lightbulb go off and all of a sudden he has great vision and patience? I just don't see it, but then again, I think the O-line makes the RB so if our O-line clears lanes, any RB including Moss will look like they "took a step." Edit -- I was curious to see if this was always an issue with him and apparently it has been for a while (2020): https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/zack-moss/VTjtEWlX0s -
Fan Duel ranks the top 10 pro athletes in NY
Rigotz replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you don't think DeGrom belongs on the list, you haven't watched baseball the past 4 years. The CY Young award is given to the best pitcher in the league. It is extremely difficult to win. 2021: Injured after 15 games. At the time he was the best pitcher in the league: 1.08 ERA, 0.554 WHIP, 7-2 Record, 14.3 K/9. 2020: 3rd in Cy Young voting.... 2.38 ERA, 0.956 WHIP, 104 strikeouts (more than any pitcher in the NL). 2019: Cy Young award winner 2018: Cy Young award winner If not the best pitcher in the league, he's easily top 3. I'm not a Mets fan and don't watch much baseball, but I know enough to not embarrass myself with statement like "DeGrom isn't a top 10 NY athlete." -
This was my favorite game ever: https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/230907002 Important to remember the storyline. 2002 the Bills had a great offense led by Drew Bledsoe 2003 the Bills kept the same offense, minus Peerless Price, and loaded up on Defense -- Spikes, Milloy, Fletcher, Posey, Sam Adams, Pat Williams, Winfield, Clements. Absolutely demolished the Patriots 31-0. Sam Adams had a pick 6 at 6'4'' 340lbs. We were on the cover of Sports Illustrated the next week. It looked like the 90's Bills were finally back. We know the rest of the story... Josh Reed didn't step up to fill Price's shoes, the O-Line got destroyed and Bledsoe was a statue that couldn't escape the rush. But for that one day, it felt like we were back.

Running Backs drafted in the first round the last 14 years: Najee Harris #24 Travis Etienne #25 Clyde Edwards-Helaire #32 Josh Jacobs #24 Saquon Barkley #2 Rashaad Penny #27 Leonard Fournette #4 Christian McCaffrey #8 Ezekiel Elliott #4 Trent Richardson #3 Doug Martin #31 David Wilson #32 Mark Ingram #28 CJ Spiller #9 Ryan Matthews #12 Jahvid Best #30 Knowshon Moreno #12 Donald Brown #27 Beanie Wells #31 14 years and I see maybe 3 players worth the pick. It's horrible value to go after running backs in the first round and that has been proven time and again.
-
Do we have to pick one in the first round for you to be comfortable at swing tackle? That seems insane when we have zero starting caliber CBs to begin the season and a boat load of other needs.
-
Is this ... sarcasm?
-
So you're OUT on on Brown, the guy we drafted in the 3rd round last year... who started 10 games, and is known to be a developmental prospect.... And you're also OUT on Ryan Bates, who we've seen play a total of 4 games and tangibly made the entire O-line better when he was in, and several other teams tried to sign... Dude. You need to be a little more optimistic in life.

LOL thanks Bears.

Diggs Extended 4 more years breaking news per WGR 550

I would do a pick and Endunds for sure -
The formula is pretty easy and there’s a reason we have never gotten a pick. We were due to get picks in previous years, but if you SIGN more players than you LOSE as UFA, your comp picks are cancelled out. Now that we finally have SEVERAL great players who may walk in UFA and great depth, we are due to KEEP the comp picks we generate. Go to overthecap.com if you’re interested in seeing the formula. It’s better than just saying we haven’t gotten them, so we’ll never get them.

Love Poyer. Love him. But you can't pay everyone. Also, we've built an incredibly talented roster and have A LOT of comp picks coming our way if we let players like him go next offseason. Poyer would probably net us a 3rd round comp pick.

As with any contract these days, if you think it’s too expensive, PAUSE until the real numbers come out. The instant reactions on Agent announced values are for suckers. -

Pounding the table for Christian Watson at 25
Rigotz replied to Vickveto's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dude… you guys need to stop with this Randy Moss stuff because these guys are nothing alike. Randy Moss was an INCREDIBLE route runner and was successful because he DID have the traits Watson lacks. Watch Moss’s routes and you’ll see the difference: -

I'm all for betting on traits instead of production, but this guy lacks serious traits outside of straight-line speed, RAC, and height. -

Rigotz replied to Vickveto's topic in The Stadium Wall
There's a difference between weaving through DBs after the catch and breaking off sharp in-breaking routes and comebacks (necessary for >50% of an effective route tree). I'm glad you said "weaving" ... that accurately describes what he does well and it's bad for clean route runners. He plays "high waisted" meaning he can't snap off a comeback route or sell an effective double-move. Show me one highlight where he does this and I'll think otherwise. Watch this route closely and you can see the problem. A subpar DB is all over him because he doesn't respect a fast comeback. -

Not a first round prospect. In the clips posted... or really any of his highlights, take a look at his stride length. That's a very good thing for straight line speed (i.e. 40 time) but horrible for short and intermediate routes. Any scout will tell you the same. Unpolished routes and can't get in and out of his breaks quickly: https://www.nfl.com/prospects/christian-watson/32005741-5431-6591-b680-d3a3d3536d62 https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/christian-watson https://www.profootballnetwork.com/christian-watson-ndsu-wr-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2022/ That limits him to posts and go-routes to find his production. He also doesn't pluck the ball out of the air. More of a body catcher, which you hate to see. Still valuable, but not 1st round valuable. Like DK Metcalf without the power. He would be a good long-ball guy short term and a decent gamble late 2nd round if he can develop his short-intermediate game. -
What non-QB has the highest trade value in the NFL?
Rigotz replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anybody saying Chase Young has not been paying attention to Chase Young. He had 1.5 sacks total last year and was consistently out of position and a legit liability on the field…. and you guys think he’s the BEST young player in the NFL? No. -
Never have we seen so much crow eaten in one offseason. From the “is Beane sleeping?” to “we won’t make a splash” to “oh great, now we can’t get X” …we’ve seen it all. Thought it might be fun to collectively admit where Beane dunked on each of us this off-season. I’ll go first. I thought Bates not getting a 2nd round tender was a HUGE mistake and it turned out to possibly be the catalyst to the Bears gifting us a kind deal. Your turn.

I’ll take your season tickets if they’re up for sale. A thousand bucks isn’t going to keep me from going to games for the rest of my life.
