  1. Unfortnately, your year one should be offseason one. Your year two is then free agency and the draft. Your year 3 is at latest offseason two. our process here has been odd at best and if we manage to only slowly blow it up and then not immediately get it right... well...
  2. Too predictable week 1 has to be extreme leaving the board hopeless or irrationally excited when we all know It’ll be relatively mediocre most weeks
  3. He showed that Fitz has drawn more, draws them at a higher rate. fewer attempts and far fewer sacks (presumably fewer hits) and more flags. He blends some formatting but are you even alleging?
  4. He’s fitz-like. Maybe the 25th best qb. The type you have to replace but will see some action
  5. Well, he was still on the original final year last year. This year would be the option.
  6. At least get someone on the practice squad, right? I get it’s tough to carry 4 QBs, and you can’t go into this week with Anderson as the only one that’s healthy and knows any plays (so cutting NP and signing someone’s tough, especially not knowing how far Anderson’s come around).... but peterman can’t be #2 even for a few weeks here.
  7. Then why haven’t we signed someone else and when do we cut him
  8. Hes checked a ton of boxes. Longevity is next and of course only comes with time. We’ve seen a ton of good months and even many good seasons. It’ll be a matter of consistency, growth, health and a little luck from here but it’s been a great start.
  9. Yea, but mcd hired a qb coach. Granted, a wr coach to coach QBs... but progress.
  10. The games faster and magnifies shortcomings in the regular season. It gets worse in the 4th quarter, and then moreso in post season.
  11. Because WR pay was really just exploding. I think this board struggles to keep up with some trends like that. He’s only the 33rd best paid wr. So a good WR2 pay rate and less than benjamin. There was a stretch with that WR group, and our beast defensive line plus mccoy, and a solid secondary and o line that we may have had one of the better 52 man rosters but were missing the most important position
  12. No one ever remembers their team benefiting from a questionable call. It’s the beauty of sports- we remember the heartbreaking screw jobs that cause losses and win solely on merit
  13. Well, they did have options and made questionable choices. all things equal, it’ll probably be pretty unreasonable around here next Monday no matter what so here’s to hoping it’s the crazy peterman fanatics celebrating
  14. Life is a complicated and sometimes ugly thing. Childhood sexual abuse can literally have major effects on how someone’s brain forms. It doesn’t excuse murder by any means but it could certainly fill in the confusion many had to the “why?” an nfl player with the world at his fingertips ran off the rails. Damage to the developing brain, plus terrible social structures creates an easy path into self medication... pair it all up with heavy doses of enabling and suddenly a 6’6 beast with poor brain regulation and a drug habit is surrounded with people chirping bad ideas in his ear and no accountability... anywhere along the way he could’ve stepped out of the cycle and he has to own his outcomes.... but things like finding out about abuse as a child certainly helps fill in some of the gaps of how thestory came together feel bad for the child, hold the man accountable and support the many victims left in his wake to help avoid future rounds of similar stories starting to be written
  15. I’ve gotta ask- what about that play was roughing the passer?
  16. I might be crazy but I feel some compassion towards the kid living through physical and sexual abuse even if I don’t think that lets the adult off the hook for the murders.
  17. Imma sleep on coming up with terms, but be prepared for a completely arbitrary challenge to your existence on this board tomorrow. If you refuse I’ll mock you for being scared but if you accept it’ll be a totally ludicrous standard and a super easy to fudge process to boot.
  18. I think you’ve got to really buy in to them to give them 2019. If they screw free agency/draft up in our big rebound year it’s really going to hurt. Especially in a make or break year for our qb. I think too too many are quick to say “meh let’s see what happens” and not treat it like a major decision to stay the course
  19. I suppose I consider the mental side a talent too... but semantics.... probably not worth arguing
  20. Unfortunately I’m pretty skeptical of everything associated with his development at the moment. heck, bring in Palmer. Anything to help him with mechanics and film.
  21. It cuts both ways. We have a handful that are incredibly eager to knock down anyone that’s skeptical. I’ve figured this a 6-ish win roster since May and have generally felt like a Debbie downer for it, and caught a few comments. this is a bad roster. It could have been a good roster. But we may come out ahead at some point Not doing what you should strikes me as a talent issue
  22. Maximum bills-y outcome would also include Rosen working out.
  23. That he couldn’t be the last guy on the bench for us and play in short yardage packages still surprises me
