  1. yea, even just keeping them honest with 1-2 going the other way, and a fake or two and suddenly the defense has to defend way more than 1 square yard
  2. yea, we are all hoping for a step forward but I’ll add that bishop and Coleman are currently fringe starters in position groups desperately lacking starting talent nonetheless. They likely wouldn’t start in many many buildings
  3. Seems like a good guy, so hate to see it - but this is very possibly the end of his bills career. Maybe even his nfl career. He doesn’t have much good tape, and even 2026 isn’t going to be great for him as he will still be recovering and lacking athleticism if he does get another shot. That leaves him a 4th year mid round pick with bad tape before he’s 100%?
  4. probably a panther right now. Give it time.
  5. Unless the pack score first and are playing with a lead and it’s havoc all day trying to come back. Talk about complimentary football - score fast and create turnovers off the pass rush is my favorite I don’t count them as my favorite but this puts them in a spot to be in the playoffs and disruptive. From there it’s a little bit of luck either way.
  6. as often echoed in this…. personal liability with legal consequence vs integrity of the product in the field
  7. I think he makes enough plays to keep us on the hook but not enough to change the offense.
  8. you miss that season where they wouldn’t let him kick anything but extra points basically, because of alleged injury
  9. it’s something this board would have rallied around at one point and still might on an off day Ultimately it’s something you say when you can’t pass and stop the pass but want to distract from that
  10. yea I could do without the personal gossip and whether his employees kept his private matters private…. But I do think shining light on skeezy medical people is not terrible for possible accountability
  11. have a few fun black label shows under my belt honestly, I’d love to hear the reasoning on Hyde/poyer I don’t think Hyde was ever intended to play. I’m assuming same here. On a purely unemotional level - asst coaches and get a younger athlete prepared starting today I’m assuming it’s some family values angle that they take care of their own so buy into the system fully but even there… is poyer better off floating around on the practice squad or putting a coaching title on his resume? Seems teaching the man to fish by introducing his next career option would be totally appropriate
  12. Sign him as a coach - you can have as many as you want.
  13. I have to think at some point that your core demographic consistently and across the board raising concerns about the deteriorating quality of your product would raise concerns. while of course that could be a case of grumpy old men being a naturally complaint filled group…. it reminds me of espn thinking they had the magic ratings team and paying everyone only to later realize everyone was watching for Tebow news, not their newscasters and ratings plummeted when Timmy flopped. Could we be in a weird bubble where people are falling out of love with nfl football despite being highly engaged socially at the moment through things like fantasy football?
  14. part is there are only so many 6’6 guys that at 270 lbs can run a 4.6-4.7 forty so he exists at that size well and seems to like football
  15. wasn’t watching today but the coaches had to hate seeing him impressed by his own reverse spin out of the pocket the first game. just a terrible move 99% of the time and here he was acting like Garrett would be impressed
  16. Both less talented and less destructive
  17. the nfl would absolutely love the ratings boost of a sanders sideshow. It’d be Tebow 2.0 with a mediocre qb that’s completely polarizing a GM would not. A head coach even less. it makes no sense to say the league directed teams to avoid him
  18. yes and no. part of the value is the 4 years of getting contributions that exceed paychecks. we just burned one of those years. further we just paid several guys to fill these roles. Keon is a draft value if we can let Shakir walk, for example. im not sure running back the entire franchise of the team that lost to the team that was blown out in the Super Bowl does the trick. frankly last year was the mostly healthy, mostly good bounces year. There’s a good chance they found their high water with this crew already.
  19. Real creative way to say that first impressions may be hard to shake
  20. For all we know, it was a players gun going off and that’s why we never heard about it
  21. I don’t think Josh had great chemistry with him. so many of Josh’s negative plays were Gabe.
  22. Unless pocket looks like the savior, but somehow Flacco looks better than that even…. You have to protect sheer upside of the young guys, even if long shots. Pickett or Huntley will likely be around if you need to call them because Flacco got hurt.
  23. ever since that run of bengals players going bananas everyone very eagerly looks to the nfl to dole out punishment as an employer for things the legal system should generally cover. It often puts them in weird no win positions. I’ve admittedly been back and forth. If a semi violent head case doesn’t belong in the nfl, where in society, outside the prison system, do we really want him? But no one wants to watch that jerk cash weekly checks larger than I make in 5 years.
  24. continuing stellar judgement. no qb, and 4th in their division. Race to sign.
  25. A larger volume of very good guys doesn’t help him but in a world where everyone is trying to stack edge talent for less than $40m a year and you need several…. It still speaks to managing expectations that he lasted. hopefully he unlocks the upside!
