  1. just a wild narrative that Brady won’t allow it
  2. Should try him at wr
  3. the problem is you are comparing a highlight reel in college to what you see snap in and snap out you could assemble a few fun highlights here too.
  4. At this point he’s not the face of that team. He’s a nice perk not a cornerstone. “you are at the end of the road - are you going to write the story of a savvy team first vet, or the guy that couldn’t buy in anywhere and teams regretted” And then you plan to bail from him on a short timeline
  5. yea, frankly he’s playing to his draft profile pretty darn accurately a slower guy that struggles to create space but will slightly better than average win on balls that have a low catch rate. it was written all over his film and measurables minus being fast in the one drill. but wait, he also played basketball so he maybe never developed fully. We all are hoping that he grows more than most guys do… luckily on top of all that he seems to have a knack for not having 100% focus
  6. in simplest terms - and completely bar napkin…. if Josh leaves us 200M for the rest of the team, can we dedicate 120M+ of that to the 5 starters on the OL plus cook? At some point it forces a large hole somewhere else. Likely multiple.
  7. I’m going to say that we’ve watched kromer do amazing things developing guards here in going to point out how well he did with Jahri evans, and Carl nicks in New Orleans im comfortable with Aaron kromer being the special sauce and spending foundational money elsewhere
  8. he had a history of issues prior… he just was good at smiling into the camera for a couple years
  9. ultimately that pass rush will make them pesky for teams to deal with but unlikely to be a powerhouse for a month straight
  10. love any mismatches, but WR4 winning against CB4 is usually more of a nice added feature than a focal point of sustainable success
  11. I think two things can be true- they need better receivers but haven’t fully optimized what they have
  12. it’s always hard to read those two together had a story locally a few weeks back with a guy having major issues and then killing some one to take their car and then killing himself like 10 mins later. Family reported he had gone off his meds and was talking about death coming for him. Just terrible. Silver lining in today’s story is it seems no one badly hurt in the chase/crash.
  13. bingo. If we are even/behind to a two dimensional offense it’ll be hard to slow the steam roll effect Then on the other side they can clog the middle of the field and keep us in front of them, key off on a pass rush and we are stuck hoping that somebody can wiggle through with yac which has been hard to rely on consistently drive in and drive out when they have those extra defenders waiting it’s the same thing we’ve seen from the rams, Texans, at times ravens, Atlanta, sometimes the jets. We go from a powerhouse to a coin flip quickly and needing 3-4 coin flips in a row is tough.
  14. that doesn’t seem like something to dwell on
  15. What if we wait til a big 4th down and do a tricky lil jet sweep to him
  16. I can go both ways on this. if the jets are 2 years out- next year getting their qb and finishing the cap reset and truly competing in 2027… QW will be 29 turning 30 that season and final year of his deal. do you want 1 year of him in your window or a 1 and 2? the sauce trade was just such a premium plus it’s not just the picks but also $200M in cap space that can be rededicated to an actual plan.
  17. yea, ultimately Moore has never shown it. Harty made a few plays but wasn’t an every week WR2 (often wr1). Samuel and MVS have flashed similarly but haven’t been at that level consistently lately. I don’t think shaheed was going to be our silver bullet but if a safety takes two extra steps back when breaking the huddle and his first step on the snap is back not forward… imagine what it does for all those underneath and middle of the field guys we have
  18. counter: shaheed is better than those guys.
  19. the shaheed one is what sticks with me most too. cheap pay, cheap picks, speed for days and opens a roster spot the other consideration- on an expiring contract, we maybe could’ve gotten a mid rounder back even if we let him walk
  20. I’ll say this… we hear a lot about how hard our run has been because we face every teams best week in and week out today would’ve been an opportunity to make sure they see our best every week
  21. I bet we try that gadget sweep on 4th and 1 with Deebo if we trade for him I do not vouch for it working
  22. Are you… genuinely asking… about WR/DT hybrids? Brayden Beane, obviously
  23. that news is a bummer have to wonder if we were in at 4 but not 4+
  24. I thought he could be been a sneaky change of scenery guy if we got stuck empty handed on big names
